Amri
"But on the bright side, I guess I won't have to hear the words "electrify the nation" over and over again," Zai joked over the phone.
"Mhm," Amri said, feeling a bit distracted. Her attention really only came back to the conversation once she heard Zai sigh.
"Is something wrong?" Zai asked.
"No. Nothing's wrong," Amri said, "I just feel a bit low on energy..."
"Is it because of Shenmi being..."
Amri knew that Shenmi being gone was getting her down, but she didn't want to have Zai feeling she was still stuck on only that. She'd tried reaching through her bond with Shenmi, the little bit of the woman's qi that Amri had learned to hold apart from her own, but all that got her was nothing.
"No. No... this is just... me feeling lost again. You said you have until next week to decide?" Amri asked, trying to recall everything Zai said about her potential deployment to Kota.
