A shadow of the future stabbed at Finn, and he ducked as he tried to keep a hold of his rifle.

Even after losing four of their number to Finn and Eota, he wondered at their sheer fanatical willpower to continue fighting.

Actually, he didn't wonder. He just focused on dodging. They had the look of desperate men in their eyes as they screamed at him in Hispian. Of all the languages spoken in the Old North, Finn hadn't learned Hispian. Undoubtedly they were telling him to die. 

Finn and Eota had split up to different roofs after the first wave. They'd left their ammunition and radio back on the first roof, trusting that Zai had thoroughly taken care of the building.

Finn had other concerns now. Like the fact he had only one bullet for four enemies. It was his own fault for hitting the magazine release.
