As the train approached the city, even Xu stared through her window.
Storspann was one of Svizra's famous "bridge cities." Its core was built on a massive arch of stone that was at least a kilometer wide and twenty across. The more modern city that surrounded it could have been anywhere in Neasoea if not for that bridge, and the smaller ones that also spanned the river Aear.
As the train approached the terminal, it was moving slowly enough that Xu heard exclamations from elsewhere in the car, and people moving about as they handled their luggage.
The first half of this long journey was finally almost over. They'd run into some trouble at the Siveron-Austrany border, but with a little help from Fulcrum things went smoothly after he had a private word with the guard captain.
With Xu's role as "Jodie Chen" over, she only had to worry about quietly escaping the notice of the Usonan hostages.
