Osiris, the god of death.

Third-person POV:

We find ourselves on the outskirts of the city of Sparta, where about 20 minutes away lies a dense forest, emitting a natural aroma, indicating that spring had already begun. However, the forest also exudes an aura of danger, intimidating many adventurers who pass through its vicinity.

Nevertheless, it seems that not everyone is affected by this sense of danger, as deep within the forest, we find a young boy seated atop the corpse of a bear.

This young boy appears to be around 10 years old, with black hair, standing at a height of 1.50 meters (4.9 ft), dressed in typical Spartan attire - a simple Chiton, with sandals. However, what drew the most attention to this young boy were his violet eyes.

Surrounded by what appeared to be black cocoons, the young boy sat calmly atop the bear's carcass, pulling what seemed to be a black scythe from what appeared to be his shadow.

Deo POV:

These past two years have been what many would call eventful and dangerous. Ever since I returned from my first hunt, I managed to persuade Astoria and Deacon to allow me to go hunting once a week. The downside is that since that day, I stopped going hunting with Deacon because he doesn't know my true strength, and according to him, we would only go hunting for rabbits. So, I flatly refused, using the excuse that every young person gives to their parents - that I was no longer a child who needed to be taken care of.

I must admit, they quickly accepted my reason, although Astoria could only do so grudgingly. I knew that in the current era, children were forced to mature faster than was normal in the past. Hence, in two years, I would have to undergo the Spartan trials.

However, during these years, I have managed to control and master the abilities I obtained from the hunt two years ago, which are three.

The first and easiest is the ability to switch places with one of my shadows, but the range is not very long. The maximum distance was 100 meters, but after training it these years, it has reached an impressive 7 kilometers.

The power to mold my shadows to take the form of any weapon I desire. Of course, as soon as I discovered what I could do, I began creating several weapons to see which one I felt most affinity towards. I started with the bow, which was my primary weapon, and I noticed it wasn't bad, but it didn't quite convince me. Next was the knife, although I had a bit more affinity with it, it still didn't fully convince me.

This process took me several hours, due to the creation and the fact that I had to rest due to the mana consumption of creating so many weapons and the lack of control and mastery over the ability.

And finally, I arrived at my current weapon, a scythe. As soon as I held it in my hands, I could feel the synchronization. I couldn't help but smile upon seeing the weapon that would accompany me for the rest of my life. Obviously, I would also train with other weapons, but my main focus would be on the scythe.

Although when I created the scythe it didn't seem to have good quality, I didn't worry as much as I expected, because being part of my shadow, it would become reinforced and gain power the more it absorbed.

My second ability, which took longer to perfect and reduce its consumption, was the creation of an area where the power of my army increased by 50% within a range of 50 meters. It was a broken ability, but it also took a lot to maintain, as it consumed mana for every second the activity was active.

After discovering the great mana consumption, I could only sigh, knowing that the only way to gain mana is over time.

Of course, during these years, my abilities have increased along with my shadows.

Currently, my army consisted of 300 rabbits that evolved to gain power increases and a small horn, which I placed under the control of my general, Ruby, who was formerly known as Aston, until he evolved again where, apart from the power increase, he grew a pair of antlers similar to those of a deer on his head, he could finally speak, and when I heard his feminine voice, I had no choice but to change his name.

Then we have 100 snakes that evolved to increase their size and power, with some measuring more than 3 meters. Obviously, I put them under the control of Nag, who has increased in size.

Then we have 50 wolves that evolved to increase their size and power, which I put under Bolt.

After the wolves, we have about 25 wild boars that are perfect tanks since each evolution focuses on strength and defense. Their general was Pumba.

Finally, we have the latest additions, 10 bears, who have not yet been able to evolve, and their general is a bear who has had his first major evolution, gaining enormous strength and defense. To my surprise, he gained a small control over the plant element. Although I was tempted to call my new general Yogi, Nag and Ruby convinced me to look for another one, and in the end, I decided to call him Udyr.

Thanks to all the hunts and animals I have hunted, Astoria and Deacon were able to earn quite a bit of money, while I also began to save part of what I earned from those animals.

I will never forget Deacon's face when I showed him the corpse of one of the bears.

I had never seen a jaw drop so much.

"My lord, we are all ready."

After hearing Ruby's voice, I turned around to see my army.

"Perfect, get ready because we have to start gathering and returning now. Before it gets any later."

Behind me, you could see the sun setting, indicating that night was approaching.

"Understood."

"So it shall be."

Nag and Ruby replied.

A few minutes passed, and I finally reached the city gate.

I must admit, one of the things I still can't accept about this era is the use of slaves. And why do I mention this?

Because, as soon as I entered, I could see what looked like a carriage that was a portable cage, with all kinds of people inside. Women, men, and children. There were 25 slaves inside.

Naturally, there were no elderly people, because no one would want them as slaves.

As I approached the cage, which was on the way to my house, I could see the looks of all the people inside. Those looks only inspired one feeling. Pure desperation.

"My lord, you only need to say the word, and we'll take care of this entire city."

I couldn't help but wonder if this was possible, after hearing Nag's words. Although I know my power is far beyond my age, I have never been able to determine how strong I am compared to a Spartan. And even less so compared to an entire city of Spartans.

"It's not the time yet, Nag, but don't worry. It will come."

"As you wish."

"But put a shadow of a rabbit on each one, Ruby."

"Understood."

And without anyone noticing, 25 shadows came out of mine and headed towards the cage.

Leaving the carriage behind, I finally reached my house. After earning a little money from the animals I showed Astoria and De

acon from my hunt. The house had improved a bit, but not too much.

Although I didn't care at all, because inside were the people I could consider family.

"My lord, have you thought about telling your parents about your powers?"

"Not yet, Ruby. I want them to live as peacefully as possible until there is no other option but to show them."

And after finishing the conversation with Ruby, I entered with the sack in my hand. Just as I entered, Astoria was standing with her arms crossed over her chest.

"You finally arrived, Deo, a little more and Deacon would have had to go out to look for you."

"I've told you it's nothing, sweetheart. Deo is a strong boy."

"Hmm?"

Astoria turned to Deacon, and after giving him a look that even Thanos himself would fear, she asked:

"Did you say something, dear?"

"No, nothing at all. I was just about to tell Deo how worried we were and that I was going to go out to look for him if he took any longer to come."

"I see."

For those who later say that Spartan men are the strongest. They would have to see this scene and realize that there is nothing more dangerous than an angry Spartan woman.

"Sorry for the delay, but I got caught up in the hunt. It won't happen again."

"Very well, let it be so. Leave the bag on the table so your father can peel them, and sit down as dinner is about to be ready."

I couldn't help but smile, although I am a child on the outside, inside I am the soul of a 23-year-old man. But in my previous life, I could never have an experience like this, because my parents were always too busy with work to be at home.

"It's not so bad to behave like a child from time to time."

"Deo, are you coming or what?"

"I'm coming, mom."

That night, although dinner was simple beans and barley, I couldn't help but feel fulfilled seeing the environment I was in. And after finishing dinner, I prepared to go to rest.

Once lying on the bed while looking at the stars through my small window.

"This is the good life."

And I closed my eyes to prepare to sleep.

I don't know how much time passed, but I woke up after hearing screams from outside.

I got out of bed with a little jump, and I could see several civilians panicking while groups of Spartans shouted and headed towards the city gate.

I left my room to find Astoria sitting in a chair.

"What's going on, mom?"

"Huh? You're awake, Deo, nothing, don't worry and go back to sleep."

"But mom."

"I told you not to worry, Deo, just go back to sleep and everything will be better tomorrow."

"I understand, goodnight."

When I closed the door to my room and saw that there was nothing strange, I summoned Nag, who shrank to fit and Ruby.

"Well, what do the shadows placed throughout the city say?"

"It seems, my lord, that a large number of strange animals are on their way to the city."

"All this chaos over some animals? It doesn't make sense."

"It seems that these animals all have a supernatural size and strength. And according to some, one of those animals can breathe fire and fly."

"An animal that breathes fire and flies? A dragon?"

"They haven't named the animal yet, but it fits the description, although not many believe that such an animal exists. But they are worried about the large number of animals approaching, and it is estimated that they will arrive in a few hours."

As far as I remember, none of this happened in history, so why is it happening? The Marvel universe is not supposed to happen until World War II or the Egyptian era if you count Apocalypse.

What am I missing? Only Asgard was there from the beginning... Damn, the Eternals.

*Booooooom*

A loud explosion was heard in the distance.

"The battle has begun, my lord."

"I heard it, Nag."

If they are the Eternals, these animals would be the Deviants. Normally the Eternals would hunt and kill the Deviants before this happened.

So, it leaves me with possibilities - either the Eternals know that this was going to happen and are on their way, or they know but are elsewhere and have abandoned us.

I debated whether to participate in the battle in case it was the second possibility.

"If I participate, the Eternals will know that someone else with powers capable of hunting Deviants exists and will suspect me."

I decided that I would need to see the situation of the battle to decide better, but before that, I molded my shadows to make a mask to cover my face and a black trench coat with a hood that also served as light armor.

"Exchange."

I swapped places with one of my shadows that was currently on top of the wall in a place with no one nearby.

After appearing, I could hear and see the battle that was taking place right before my eyes.

Thousands of Deviants against thousands of Spartans. Although the battle seemed evenly matched, it wasn't, as it took 3 to 5 Spartans for one Deviant.

"If this continues like this, we'll lose the battle."

"It seems so, my lord, but this would change if we entered."

"It's not the time yet, Nag, if you look closely at the battlefield, you can see that something is missing."

"I don't understand, my lord, what is missing?"

"The dragon, if the dragon hasn't appeared, it means that the battle hasn't yet reached its critical point, which still gives the Eternals time to appear."

"I see."

Third-person POV:

And so the battle continued, but no matter how you looked at it, the Spartans were losing.

But everything changed when suddenly the city gate opened, and a new group of warriors emerged.

Deo didn't see them, as he was trying to locate the enemy general. The dragon.

The new group of warriors was not only made up of Spartans, but there were also men who had not passed training or young people who were in it.

This new group was like a gulp of water on a hot day for the Spartans, as they finally managed to gain an apparent advantage.

It didn't last long, as the enemy seemed to have predicted this move, and upon seeing the new group of humans, a larger group of Deviants joined the battle.

And that's when the massacre began.

The humans were overwhelmed by the number of Deviants and could do nothing more than fight to the death, as behind them were their families.

Nag POV:

The humans were losing, and just as my lord had predicted, the dragon was hidden controlling the troops.

The battle seemed lost, and I could see how my lord was becoming impatient with the group he called the Eternals.

Suddenly, I received news from one of the snake shadows that my lord had sent to patrol the battle.

I couldn't help but be surprised to hear the battle update.

"My lord, there have been updates in the battle."

"I have seen it, Nag."

"I see, but it seems that among the reinforcements that have just entered the battle, your father is among them."

I could feel something breaking inside my lord and how his aura was increasing and becoming visible.

I had never felt this sensation from my lord. It was pure

 rage.

My lord turned around and looked at me with those violet eyes that many had been struck by their beauty. Those eyes that were currently emanating a feeling of pure anger.

"Repeat your words slowly, Nag, and they better be true."

"As you wish, my lord, one of the shadows under my command has just informed me that your father has just entered the battle."

My lord continued to look at me in silence, but I could see how his aura was overflowing more and more.

"My generals."

After saying that, the other generals under my lord appeared around him, while we all kneeled, waiting for orders.

"Get ready, because today is the day the god of death makes his entrance. And I want all the enemies you see to be annihilated. Today Osiris the god of death decides who lives and who dies."

Osiris was the name my lord had decided to make himself known to the world, and soon everyone will know who dominates over life and death.

"Let's go."
