Meeting the Handsome Devil - 6

Inside Lucifer's estate, the guests around are talking and getting their drinks from the bar. Jimmy looked annoyed and seemed lost in thought. Raven analyzed Jimmy from a slight distance, letting her surroundings drown out her senses as she took her time to deduce what Jimmy was feeling. Jimmy's fists were slightly clenched against his dress pants as he kept shaking his leg up and down from the ball of his feet. Jimmy knew Raven had caught him, and the nerves he was presenting were obvious to see now that Jimmy was here. His face may look annoyed, but his body language proves an entirely different story. Lucifer walked toward Raven with a smile, "What am I supposed to do, Detective?" Lucifer said with a seductive tone in his voice. Raven slightly flinched, snapping out of her thoughts. "Right, these Tarot cards will be used for this gamble." Raven reached into her back right pocket with her right hand and pulled out a pack of fancy black and white cards. The Tarot cards were black and white with a moth in the center with moon fazes circling the moth called the 'Occult Tarot by Travis Mchenry.' "The Rules are pretty simple. So I will explain in just a second," Raven said softly, looking at Lucifer with a devious yet innocent smile.

Lucifer looked at Raven with curiosity and a genuine smile of fascination as he looked at Raven. Raven presented an honest chuckle showing her kind smile as she placed the tarot on the table ahead of her. "Everyone! May I have your attention!" Raven called out. Raven's voice thundered in the party room; since there was no music, everyone heard a slight echo from Raven's voice. The chatter had died down as they changed their focus towards Raven. "Everyone gather round. The game will now begin." Raven said, catching Jimmy's attention finally. "Now, these tarot cards will determine Jimmy's life. Not for a few days or months; it will be his life. Now I won't gamble my life, as I didn't murder an innocent woman." Raven said bluntly with a chuckle as everyone was glaring at Jimmy. "Wait! What evidence do you have against Jimmy?" A male said, walking toward Raven. The male looked young and confident, maybe in his late 20s, as he confronted Raven by walking toward her like a protective friend. His posture was meant to be intimidating, but to Raven, it was just blind sentiment to make him protect a murderer. Raven had a devious smirk showing nothing but confidence as she stood her ground. Raven had another soft chuckle as she put her hands behind her back as the male approached her.

Raven looked at the male from head to toe analyzing his movements and body language, noticing that the male walking toward her was a playboy and someone that worked or managed Jimmy's work. "Your friendship is to use Jimmy for profit. Is that why you're defending him?" Raven said with a slight smirk. "Before I tell everyone, YOu have volunteered as my subject," Raven said, walking around the male, still keeping her arms around her back. Raven notices the wedding ring on his finger. "What-?" The male's thoughts stopped, shocked at what Raven said. "The wedding ring on your finger isn't clean or well taken care of, so you don't exactly have a happy marriage, yet you go around other girls here as if you are single. Your ring is only cleaned when you slip it off your finger." Raven chuckled as she now walked in front of the male. The male looked at Raven, shocked and angry, "How did you?!" The male growled, clenching his fists and trying to hide the ring from her.

"Simple, I am not an amateur. So what I say here is true and evidence of how I beat your dear sugar daddy." Raven said with a proud smirk as everyone looked confused but astonished at how Raven got so many facts right by only looking at the male's ring. Raven hated when people questioned her capabilities, but she made everyone instantly trust her word. "Lucifer, I would like you to shuffle the cards and make sure everything is different; keep shuffling them until I give you another instruction," Raven said giving Lucifer a gentle order keeping eye contact with Jimmy now. Raven was too excited for the gamble to be crude or harsh. Lucifer chuckled, walked to the cards on the table, and gently opened the pack of tarot cards. Lucifer shuffled the cards by splitting the deck in half and bending the cards to form a bridge as each card shuffled between the other. "Jimmy here will be choosing two cards that will represent his past and present," Raven said with a smile as she watched Lucifer continuously shuffle the cards.

"I will draw his future," Raven said, keeping her voice loud and clear for everyone to hear. Jimmy stands up and walks towards Raven. "The point system is rather simple. Each card has a number on them. The past and present will be represented as a negative number. Meaning the card must be in reverse. The future must be upright for me to get positive points. So let's say that Jimmy chooses a card. He can flip the card in its opposite direction before revealing what he chose." Raven explained with an excited tone in her voice. "You get off on this, don't you." The subject approached Raven with a very quiet and harsh growl to walk back to the bar. Just for the girls he talked to before scoffing at him and walking away from the male, leaving him alone. "Indeed I do," Raven said sinisterly, glaring at the male as he walked away. "Now, any time Jimmy draws a positive card, it will be merged with my points. If I draw a negative, it will be merged with his points." Raven said, now looking at Jimmy with a devious smile. "Are you ready to play?" Raven asked innocently, but her devious smile intimidated her innocent voice as Jimmy made eye contact.

Jimmy nods slowly, not saying anything as he takes all the information in. "Lucifer, take the deck of cards to Jimmy and show him the cards face down. Let Jimmy choose two cards from your hand." Raven said with a gentle order, now putting her hands behind her back. Lucifer stopped shuffling the cards and collectively put the cards together and walked toward Jimmy with a confident smile. "Good luck," Lucifer said with a fake smile as he looked at Jimmy, trying to send phony comfort. Jimmy was silent and concentrated as he drew his two cards. "Now, Lucifer step back so Jimmy can't change his mind. Jimmy, do you wish to turn the card around or keep their position." Raven asked with a smile as she looked at Jimmy. "I will keep the position," Jimmy said nervously; his voice shook, but the venom was still in his voice.

"Then flip them over and reveal what your past and present are," Raven said as her smile widened even more, excited about what the estimate must beat to win the gamble. Jimmy turns over both cards horizontally to reveal, "The fool and the Hermit in reverse!" Lucifer exclaimed as his voice alone showed excitement and interest as he walked to Raven with the deck of cards in his hands. "The Fool is 0 plus The Hermit, which represents 9. I am sure you know what that totals up to." Raven smirked at Jimmy, "Now time for his future." Ravensmilede as Lucifer showed her the cards in his hand. Raven decided to be extra by moving the cards in his hands and grabbing the card in the very center of the deck. As Raventooks her card, she grabbed the rest of the tarot cards and put them on the table to her right.

"No,w before I turn over my card," Raven said, grabbing the card she drew and grabbing Lucifer's hand. She placed the card she drew in Lucifer's hand and place his other hand on top of it so no one could touch it other than Lucifer. "Protect the card for me," Raven said with a small smile winking at Lucifer secretly. "It would be an honor; Detective," Lucifer chuckled at her antics with a seductive tone. "Now I know you're all curious how I found out that Jimmy here was the murderer," Raven said as she turned around to look at everyone around her with confidence higher than the gods themselves. "So, I would like to introduce 2 people. A terrible rapper named 2Vile and a rising not-so-good actor named Grey Cooper!" Raven smiled as she pointed her right hand toward the entrance of the building. Watching as 2Vile and Cooper walk down the stairs.
