Night before the mission.

<General perspective>

Deckard saw his hair, touched it, and said, "It doesn't suit me." He heard the sound of a camera clicking repeatedly.

As he turned, he saw Ava, Andy, and another young woman, all holding their phones and taking pictures of him. They started laughing at his new hairstyle.

Andy chuckled and said, "I think baldness suits you better," while the other two nodded in agreement.

Deckard tried to snatch their phones, but they were agile and fast, while Deckard hadn't gotten used to his body yet.

Deckard looked at the young woman and said in shock, "Mom, is that you?"

Queenie nodded with a smile and struck an old pose. "Don't I look great?"

Deckard nodded and said, "You look great, but now it feels weird to call you mom."

Queenie punched Deckard in the face and said, "I am still your mom. Got it, grown ass man?"

Deckard stopped the punch and said, "Okay, you don't have to punch me for that."

Queenie nodded as Ava said, "Okay, now follow me to my lab and please don't make a mess like this again," as she looked around the messed-up bathroom caused by the phone-snatching drama.

They nodded and followed Ava to the lab. After getting inside, Ava handed Deckard and Queenie VR helmets and said, "Wear these. They will help you get familiar with your bodies faster."

Deckard looked at the VR helmet and asked, "And how does it help us?"

Ava replied, "By wearing this helmet, you can enter virtual reality, or you could say the digital world, where time moves 15 times faster than in our world."

Deckard frowned and asked, "Won't that overload the brain?"

Ava smiled and said, "Yes, a normal human can only handle up to 10 times, but after I injected you both with CH-24, it became 20 times, so 15 is less compared to 20, right?"

Deckard thought for a moment and asked, "Did you try it on anyone before us?"

Ava nodded, "I tried it on myself, then on my girlfriends and my new secretary, and now on you."

Deckard looked at Andy for confirmation, and Andy nodded. Deckard sighed and put on the helmet, while Queenie looked at Ava and asked, "Did you say girlfriends?"

Andy chuckled and said, "Well, she doesn't have anything normal in her life."

Queenie also chuckled at hearing Andy and then put on the helmet.

Ava went to the kitchen with Andy, and both of them cooked dinner while talking about Andy's past and how she met Queenie. Ava then went to her bedroom where Elena was sleeping and woke her up for dinner. Afterward, Ava went to the lab where Deckard and Queenie were.

Deckard and Queenie took their helmets off one after another. Ava informed them that dinner was ready. After dinner, Ava showed everyone their bedrooms to rest. Then Elena and Ava went outside the house as Ava called Melissa, and both of them talked to her.

After hanging up the call, Ava saw Deckard with a shaved head sitting alone on the beach. Ava looked at Elena and said, "You can go first. I'll be there in a little while."

Elena nodded and said, "Just don't be late," as she went inside.

Ava walked over to Deckard and sat next to him, saying, "Can I sit here?"

Deckard looked at Ava and nodded, "Yes, you can."

Ava extended her hand and said, "I haven't introduced myself. I am Ava Lewis."

Deckard shook Ava's hand and said, "Deckard Shaw."

Ava asked, "Can I call you brother? You can also call me Ava."

Deckard raised his eyebrow, "Brother? Why?"

Ava smiled and said, "Well, I am an only child, and you give off a brother vibe."

Deckard chuckled when he heard Ava say 'brother vibe.'

Deckard said, "You know, I have two more siblings, and neither of them listens to me or my mom."

Ava looked at the moon and said, "Well, I know Owen and Hattie Shaw."

Deckard looked at Ava with a surprised expression and asked, "You know them?"

Ava shook her head and said, "Not personally, but your sister tried to steal something from my company two years ago as an agent for MI6 and got arrested by the FBI."

Deckard chuckled, "That doesn't sound like her. I never thought she would get arrested."

Ava continued, "When I got the detailed report, I found that the people who arrested her were also MI6 agents. After that, I had to increase the company's security to the next level."

Deckard smiled, "That sounds more like her. She used this trick in our childhood too. Anyway, what did she steal?"

Ava replied, "It was the codes for my three-layer security system. After that, I created a seven-layer security system, so their operation failed."

Deckard nodded, "What about Owen?"

Ava said, "That guy didn't do anything to me, but currently, a women named as Cipher is trying to contact him."

Deckard frowned and asked, "I think Cipher is a terrorist organization."

Ava nodded, "Yes, it is, at least to the world. But the mastermind behind it is a woman who doesn't have any digital signature." Ava showed her phone to Deckard, displaying a photo of Cipher.

Deckard saw the image and asked, "Why are you showing this to me?"

Ava replied, "After this mission, I want you to recruit this woman."

Deckard asked, "How can I find her if she doesn't leave any digital signature?"

Ava said, "I have something special for that." As Ava stood up, she said, "Now sleep, brother. We have a mission in the morning."

Deckard nodded and went inside the house.

Ava was standing alone on the beach when she received a call from Regina, who had just landed in New Jersey. They talked for a while and ended the call with a good night. Ava then went to her bedroom where Elena was working on Calisto. Ava closed the laptop and said, "Sleep with me, I need company."

Elena asked, "Did Regina call you?"

Ava nodded and said, "Yeah, she got to New Jersey and is with her family." As Ava hugged Elena and fell onto the bed.

Elena said while trying to get free from Ava's hug, "Yeah, stop acting like a spoiled child."

Ava tightened her hug and said, "But I am only 15. I have every right to act spoiled."

Elena sighed as she let Ava hug her and fell asleep.
