7 The Blackthorn familiar

"That girl is so funny. How could she call you angel," kuro kept on rolling on the floor.

"You can hear people's thought?"Taesung sat on a chair with seoyeon besides him. Kuro sits back and looked directly on Taesung.

"I do. However I couldn't hear yours," he answered him honestly. Taesung shifted in his chair.

"Do you know what exactly I am? Because what you said just now it seems like you knew about me?" He asked while his hand propped his head on the table. Seoyeon looked at Taesung then turned to kuro.

"You're so carefree. You don't even know your identity?" He sighed before continuing,"the only reason why I couldn't hear your thoughts is because you're different. And I could feel it because I do have the same gift like you but not as good as yours."he smiled.

"What do you mean by that?" He kept his gaze on kuro seriously. Kuro sighed and sat in the chair opposite to him.

"We're both immortal master. However I could still died if my master wishes me to." He leaned back on his chair."I've saw many people died before my eyes. I don't even know how many years has it been since I was granted the immortality. It's such a pain to watch death."he sighed as his eyes shown despair.

Seoyeon couldn't help but to pat the man's shoulder. The man smiled warmly then laughed.

"There's no need to sympathies me. I'm not the one who's dead,"he laughed hard that even shin comes out to peek from the staff room.

"I see. So what're we gonna do about the cafe today?"seoyeon said to TaeSung who was fiddling with his library keys.

"I already promised Mr Yoon to take over the counter from morning till afternoon."he scratches his head and looks towards kuro."can you help?" Kuro looked at Taesung and nodded.

"As you wish master," he stood up placed his right hand onto his chest while bowing to TaeSung.

"Good then but I didn't tell you to call me master,"he leaned back to his chair.

"It is in my blood to serve my master to the fullest and most of them loved to be called that." He held his chin while looking up on the chandelier lamp trying to remember his past owner.

"Why do you want to serve me then?"

"You helped me yesterday and moreover you're different. I felt like I found the one who I should be calling master the moment I saw you,"he looked at Taesung with beaming eyes.

"I never agreed to be your master,didn't I?"

"The moment you gives me a name you already becomes my master," he answered. Taesung remembered when kuro kept on demanding him to gives him a name and he said he'll call him kuro. He facepalmed and sighed.

"That's why you kept on forcing me to gives you a name,"he looked at the delighted man. He saw those cat-like ears again and he tilted his head."can you come closer?"

"What?"the man comes closer to him and bend down. Taesung reaches out his hand and touched the cat-like ears on kuro's head. He felt the texture is exactly the same as those of the cat's and it was warm. Kuro shrieked and twitched his 2 ears.

"Why did you touched my ears?"he backed off from Taesung and looked at him in disgrace."I don't know that you're gay,"

"Shut up. So you're that cat. I was just inspecting. Seems like those ears are real. But if you're going to show that to the customers they might think you're a little bit crazy about cat's,"

"Huh?really? Those people from earlier said to me that this is so rare. The girls also said there's practically no other man who willing to use these ears. I told them it's my real ears and they even rubbed it and said I'm really cute!" He said as he fiddled with his two ears.

Suddenly seoyeon who has been silent the whole time said in a trembling voice.

"He's a were-cat? Then what are you? Is the world actually full with these supernatural things?"

"If not where do you think those myths and legends comes from? Long ago our kind lives freely and some was even worshipped because of their powers but then after humans tried to be like us but failed one after another did we agreed to hid our identity,"

" You can hide it?" Taesung asked the man. Kuro just nodded while smiling before he shook his then pointed towards his ears. They didn't saw any trace of the ears anymore and just his hair. Seoyeon beamed with amazement and she even reached out to touch his head. He just let her. She then looked at Taesung with pleading look on her face as she fiddled with her fingers.

"What now?" Taesung saw her expression and asked her straightforwardly.

"I want to keep him!" He sighed after he heard what she said.

"Up to you," he then walked towards the staff room takes out the notes he borrowed then told her he's going to the library. He even had the time to turn back to kuro and told him to follow her and shin's instructions.

Right after he arrives at the library he opened the door with his keys and goes in the library. He didn't saw Mr Yoon who usually sits on the other side of the counter. He looked around the library and even tried to call out his name.

"Uncle? Uncle Yoon?" He walked all the way to the end of the library where Mr Yoon personal bedroom is. He knocked on the majestic door. Not long after the door was opened and a disheveled mr Yoon comes out of the room.

"Taesung? You're early today," he said while he rubbed his eyes.

"Uncle it's not that early anymore and I was worried that something might happen to you so that's why I come here. I really sorry to disturb your sleep." He bowed.

"Is it really that late already?!"he exclaimed in shock after he looked at the clock."I didn't realize it at all. You can open the library first. I'll be resting here. Don't worry I'm just fine." He assured Taesung then changed the topics.

"Have you finished reading the notes?" He said while he leaned on the doorframe.

"Not yet. Something happened at Seoyeon's cafe and I have to help," he paused then continue after a few moments,"uncle is there any books about supernatural beings?" Mr Yoon raised his eyebrows.

"Supernatural beings? There's not much but I do find something like familiar connected with the Blackthorn family. wait a moment."he went back in then comes out with another piles of unclipped notes and papers then handed it to Taesung."it's somewhere in here I couldn't find it anymore. I'm sure I've taken some notes down about it,"Taesung looks at the piles with mouth agape. Mr Yoon laughed at his reaction then shoo him away to continue sleeping. Taesung ended up sorting the piles again.afterwards he clipped it all together before he put it back on the counter and continued reading the first one.

Meanwhile in the cafe.

Seoyeon left the cafe and went to her work after she made sure everything was settled before she patted kuro's head then remind them to be careful.

The customers comes to the cafe right after it was open and they saw quite some customers already waited outside the cafe. Shin will be taking the orders and Kuro will be the one serving the orders. Kuro already changed from his all black clothing to the cafe's uniform and were sending orders to the customers' table. The social media once again exploded as they wondered where the handsome silver haired man go but they were quite happy with kuro's services and he even sometimes plays around with the customers.

'The cafe shocked me two days in a row now yesterday there's the silver hair handsome now there's this sweet looking bun here!' someone updated her status and even added kuro's picture within it makes her posts exploded with likes and comments. The pictures of him playing around with a customer while serving the orders makes him looks like a really sweet and nice guy.

His hair was clipped behind his right ear and his other soft hair was flowed in the air. His round eyes makes him looks even cuter with his slightly long canine was revealed every time he smiled adding the points of attractiveness onto him. He was acting like an obedient little kitten when he was in front of shin because Taesung already told him to follow their instructions. The sight of that makes people started imagining a disgusting story that'll never happen in this novels.

Kuro shrieked in silence. Before he looks at shin disdainfully.

"Are you gay? Why were these people daydreaming about we being gay? Cant they have any purer thought?" He nearly puked out all the food he ate on breakfast.

"What do you think I am?" Shin glared back at him and questioned kuro in a disgusted tone. Kuro massaged the back of his neck as he felt all his hairs stands. He hissed while shuddered.

"It's okay that they thought I'm sweet and obedient but totally not gay!" He complained to shin. The two man sighed heavily.

"Beum-ah,do you want to know what I think?" Kim geum finally sounded out his thoughts.

"What?" His twin asked him while his hand tapping on his computer to complete his song mix.

"Do you still remember our mission?"the younger twin tried to recall their mission that makes them scattered in the human world.

"I do.what about it?"

"Don't you think that Taesung looks exactly like master? His hair, his exceptional good look."

"You think so?"Kim Beum spun around his chair and took his headphones off. Kim Geum nodded and his older twin leaned back onto his chair before ordering him.

"Lock the door and turn the lights off. We're going to the gathering." He shuts his computer off then sat down after he took out a small old looking books from his hidden cupboards. He let his twin sits besides him before he opened the book the chanted in an ancient language.

"Custodes de forti leo. Et exaudivit vocem meam veni," he close his eyes for a few seconds then opened not long after. In front of the twin is another 10 person which used different clothing.

On their left is a doctor with long white coat with stethoscope on his neck. On their right is a man who wore exquisite tuxedo with cold and powerful aura.

2nd from left is a girl with beautiful clothing who donned a sunglasses. the girl that sits besides her has a blue hair is with an ancient clothes on her.

A man beside the blue haired girl wore big glasses with a dark blue suits. Next to him is a guy with a pair of sharp eyes like those of hawk's.

The one opposite to the twin is a tough builded man who were exuding a dangerous yet gentle aura that makes people feel secure.

Besides the man is another man who was eyeing everyone's moves in silence. He wore a black mask but it was pulled down revealing his expressionless face.

Another person with glasses sat down with a slight smile on her face. her clothing which simply a man's clothing was disheveled a little. Her plain white and black checkered shirt was unbuttoned on the 3 uppermost buttons showing her decent cleavage.

The last person next to her have a thin build but his height can't be hidden as his long legs was showed after he crossed his legs with ripped jeans and colourful shirt. His hair on his left side was cutted really short while his hair on his right side was long til his shoulder. His earrings was shown as he smiled flirtatiously.

"Why did you call us? Has you found the master?"the tough looking man asked.

"I think we do," Kim Beum took out his phone and showed everyone the pictures of Taesung that he took. They're all looks shocked.

"That is master! It really is him! I'm coming to your place gemini." The man with the weird hair styles exclaimed in happiness.

"prepare to receive me on the airport in two days." The woman with sunglasses said in a calm demeanor.

"I'll go there too. after all this is our most important mission."the man with glasses said.

"That's right. Give me a week," the doctor said.

"That's right we have to go immediately," the girl with black and white checkered shirt said.

"Mmm." Man in tuxedo just grunted indicating his agreements.

"Seems like I have to drop out of my movie," the blue haired girl said while she shook her head.

"We have to bring him back," the person with the black mask agreed.

"Can we bring along some guns there gemini?" The guy with hawk like eyes asked. The twin just shook their head simultaneously.

"Nope,"they said shortly.

"It's good that we found him now. It is early than we expected however the earlier the better.we can't possibly let him be here all by himself. What if he faced danger when we don't even know anything? What are our existence were for then?"the man with tough build said. The other just answered him shortly.

"To protect our master leader leon," they then dismissed the gathering then went to prepare to go to the twin's place.
