Chapter 55: Jey's not Human

It has been two days of reading this journal and I still haven't made it to the information we need. There must be more journals around here somewhere. I looked up and noticed Luke talking with Jeremy. I wanted to go and say hi to him quickly. The moment their eyes landed on me I smiled widely. Oliver assisted me to walking towards them but Jeremy had basically left. I felt completely confused and so I just did my best to walk towards Luke. Luke looks confused for a moment but he walks to me gently. He had a gentle smile on his face and it made me really happy. Though my leg is useless at the moment I still enjoy my moments with Luke.

"KIRA!" I hear a familiar voice

All the hair in my body rise and I looked to the side and I noticed my bestest friend in the world. But she didn't look really happy though. Jey was behind her trying to calm her down. Sarah with a big smile tongue out cheeky woman. What did she say? What did she do? Oh god this will be a nightmare. How do I calm down my best friend? What did Sarah tell her? I know she couldn't have told her about what happened to me. So she must have made up a story about it. What was even told though? I swallowed the growing lump as Oliver held me tight. I can hear Luke laughing gently in the background.

I looked at Luke as he looked away with a big smile. What did they do? What have they told her? Oh my god I feel my world literally spinning with how confused I feel about all this. What will happen? What will she say? She looks a bit mad but nothing over board. I literally hid behind Oliver as she was right there basically.

"How dare you?" Scarlet started of as she points at me

"What... What do you mean?" I say lowly in panic

"Why didn't you tell me you went hiking!?" Scarlet snaps at me

"Y... Y..."

She interrupts me "You should have let me accompany you... I can't believe this... If you didn't go camping and hiking... I wanted to go... This was something we planned back in the past!"

"I know... It was an accident... Something out of the blue... I just wanted to surprise you" I tried lying but I felt fear

She groans out and looks at my leg then points at it "Clumsy as always... Next time you go camping and hiking fucking let me now... I would have had everything ready! First aid kid... Flashlights... Disinfectant... Taser... Bear Repellent..."

"I can see you worry about your friend maiden..." Jey interrupts her with his gentle voice

Luke leans to me and whispers gently "Do not worry... Hiking was the best lie we could have come up with..."

I looked at him and gave him a punch in his shoulder as I whispered back "Let me now next time..."

Luke started laughing at my weak punch and I just pouted a bit. My heart rate lowered as I felt completely calm now. Ok all the did was tell her about hiking. Scarlet loves nature and we were planning on hiking once everything had settled down. But seeing how my mother kept finding us. Then I met Luke. I completely forgot about the plans we had years back. Damn now I got to make plans to go hiking and camping with Scarlet. I glanced at Luke as he was now looking to the side. Deep in silence. Jey and Scarlet were now talking about camping and hiking.

We heard growling and barking at a distance so I looked at Luke in panic. Luke nods at me with a gentle smile. Ashton quickly reacted and used a radio to check something about cameras. Scarlet looks confused as she just stares at Ashton walk away with a radio close to his mouth. Did she totally forget about this location being a sanctuary? Allegedly a sanctuary. I hear whining in the background. Luke is now in panic. What is happening?

I looked at Luke in panic and I didn't feel Oliver anymore. I looked around in panic and Scarlet looks in panic as well. I looked at Sarah as she is in shock. What is going on? What's with all the whining? I turned around and saw Luke running away taking a quick turn behind the pack house.

I sighed out as I needed to be there just in case. Oliver is still hurt. Luke will get annoyed if I stay out of his sight. Jonathan must be still resting. Ashton went ahead as well so I will be safe. I looked at Sarah with my eyes as I glanced at Scarlet for a quick second as she was deep in thought. Maybe trying to figure out what is happening. She is always deep in thought. Though I can't complain. I stay deep in thought as well and many times. I just can't help but to think a lot about everything. Like right now. I need to follow Luke as we never know what will happen if I keep my distance. Those hunters can try anything. They already sent a spy into someone else's territory.

Wait wasn't Jeremy here? Is he the one fighting? Oh god I hope something didn't trigger a fight? Jeremy does have a short fuse to be honest. I looked at Scarlet as she looks up from her train of thought. She is kind of weird. I just smiled gently at her as she is basically like my sister. I just want her to be happy. Would it be a good to tell Scarlet about this world? Did Jey tell her? Or did Jey showed her?

"Scarlet... Let's get you back into the house... I think the wolves are fighting..." Sarah quickly speaks as she holds Scarlets arm

"What do you mean? I thought they had something far from us... That sounded so close!" She says in panic

"I think one of the males fighting for dominance... It's something they do when the young ones mature out... It seems while fighting they broke the gate..." Sarah lied so smoothly I almost even believed it if it wasn't because I already know about this world

"Alright..." Scarlet says as she lets Sarah lead the way

Jey assisted me but I denied his touch "No it's ok... I should go assist Luke..."

"Your still hurt... You can't be close to any of that..." Jey tells me worriedly

I looked at him confused and I say "Luke will protect me... I just want to make sure Oliver is alright... He is also hurt..."

I started walking towards the bunch of sounds and I saw two wolves fighting. Seems young wolves. Luke looks completely disappointed and I saw a girl by Oliver. A smirk on her face. She was smiling at two boys fighting. I couldn't believe this. Was it her idea? Are they fighting out of jealousy? Maybe their just immature teenagers. I sighed out and just walked a little closer. Just a little bit just to pass the corner. This area of the pack house barely has windows. I only started seeing windows after the third floor. Maybe to keep whatever human would show up to not see anyone shifting. I did notice the broken window at the very top floor.

I looked at Luke as he was looking at me. He then looked at the fighting teenagers and then back to me. Panic in his eyes. I felt completely confused though. Where is Ashton though? I looked around for him and I didn't see him at all. I did see a bunch of clothing on the floor. Ripped to shred though. Did Ashton transform? Something shines into my eyes and I covered my face. It burned a bit. The growling had gotten louder but I couldn't look as I had something shinning directly to my eyes.

Is someone using a reflection? I need to look. I felt the floor shake a little. I tried moving my arm but the light shined again on my eyes so I covered my face with born arms. I had looked to the floor. I didn't understand any of this. What is happening?

"KIRA!" I hear multiple voices yell at the same time

I felt a sudden arms around me and we spin slightly. I had shrieked in the process as I didn't know what to do. I didn't understand what is happening. But I wasn't touching the floor anymore. I slowly opened my eyes. I saw Jey. I froze in utter fear. His eyes. They had turned red. Bright red. He had two fangs. Elongated. He didn't have four fangs like Luke and Ashton does. Or Amber eyes. Red eyes and fangs. I felt my body slip and I felt confused. I had looked down and we were slightly off the ground. I tensed up a bit and that's when I noticed it.

He had wings. Black long wings. The way they moved was so gentle. I felt completely confused. I hadn't seen this before.

What is he?
