Chapter 70- You don't like sweets?

They sat, the room dim with the screen bright. Whispered voices and laughter filled the air since the movie hadn't started yet. The movie Lucas planned to see was called Heart Chaser, a romantic comedy.

Lucas leaned towards Graves, ''Here's the popcorn. What did that man say to you?'' he asked, sounding casual but his jealous gaze betrayed his real feelings.

Graves's mind was on the white clouds of popcorn. ''What man?'' she asked offhandedly as she popped one into her mouth. She chewed and paused, a sweet taste filling her mouth.

Tilting her head in curiosity, she grabbed a handful and munched on it with relish.

A smile bloomed on Lucas's face at her answer, and he took some popcorn himself. But when he tasted the sugar, he pulled his hands back, not taking another bite.

''You don't like sweets?'' Graves asked, noticing his reaction.
