29 Suspicions

I head back to the dungeons while thinking on who would hex Harry's broom. My money is definatly on Quirell. Harry says he gets headaches in his class, he was the one who said the troll was in the dungeon but then was in the third floor corridor when all the other teachers were searching for the troll, not to mention that stutter sounds so fake.

What do I know about Quirell? Well I know he was the muggle studies teacher then switched to Defense Against the Dark Arts this year. He says he got the turban as a gift from a Nigerian Prince. But men don't wear head wraps in Nigeria. The women do but they call it dhuku so it is highly unlikely a Nigerian Prince would give him a head wrap that is normally meant for woman, not to mention the head wrap Quirell is using is more commonly found in India.

He says he got attacked by vampires in Albania but that wouldn't cause him to fear every magical creature would it? Even when asked about the supposed Zombie he saved a Nigerian Prince from he will panic and change subjects. So far Quirell seems like the most likely subject to try and steal whatever that Cerberus is guarding, the troll being an obvious distraction and the rest of the crap is just an act he puts on for everyone else.

Still why would he want to kill Harry. The only people who would want him dead are- So Quirell might be working for moldy short. Wait Harry says the headaches come from pain to his scar whenever Quirell has his back facing him. That could be but no that doesn't seem possible unless. Ok I gotta ask Snape about this!

I head down into the dungeons as fast as I could and I bang on SNapes door then I barge in without waiting for a reply "Damn it you insufferable brat! Don't go barging into my lab like that you know how dangerous that is!" Snape digs into me with his words but I don't care to get lectured right now

"I need to talk to you. It's very important!" Using the same urgent tone I did when I needed him to bring a nurse for Harry.

"... Come with me" He decides to just take me to his office and toss up a silencing charm."Now what is so important."

"You said you found Quirell in the third floor corridor, that is why you got hurt." Snape nods "Alright now I am sure the Cerberus isn't the only guard for whatever is down there. Were their any teachers who helped guard it?"

"While I do not know why you need this information. Myself, Flitwick, Dumbledore, Sprout, McGonagall, and Quirell all set up something to guard the item. The Cerberus belongs to Hagrid."

"Ok the two last questions. One, hypothetically speaking, if Voldemort is still alive would the item down there bring him back to power?"

Snape stiffens "Alex I am not sure-"

"Severus! This is very important. I need to know!"

"I suppose... Yes it could restore the Dark Lord to full power if he ever got ahold of it"

"Alright one last question please answer honestly and I will tell you why I am asking all this. What did Quirrell put as his test?"

"Well Quirrell provided a troll"

I slam my fist down onto the table "Damn it. I realize the other teachers would have missed that info but you Uncle?!"

"What are you talking about Alex?" Snape glares at me

"Quirell provided a troll to guard the whatever then he suddenly finds a lone troll wandering the dungeons when he was the only staff member NOT at the feast. How did none of you find that suspicious" Snapes eyes go wide at that

"I think Quirell is working with voldemort, or rather some shade or wraith of Voldemort." I then go to explain my reasons. Why I think Quirell is lying about his travels, Harry's sudden head aches whenever Quirells back is pointed at him, why I think he let the troll in as a distraction.

"I think Quirell is after whatever Dumbledore brought into the castle and I think that a part of Voldemort is attached to the back of his head and that is why he keeps it covered. Also despite the garlic smell the Twins say there is a rotting smell coming from the turban as well."

Snape stands up "We are going to the headmaster."

"Would he even believe me? After all my story does sound far fetched."

He seems to come to the conclusion that Dumbles would probably say I am overthinking things. Unlike Snape who is normally paranoid, this from being a spy, Dumbledore is too trusting and into giving second chances.

"We need to think of a way to expose him but in a way that doesn't put the students in danger. We need to get him in a space where he would be outnumbered if exposed, but not in front of the students, and if it IS the Dork Lord we have to make sure you aren't seen when he is exposed. Because if he escapes and finds a way to come back after seeing you when we expose him then he will have you killed thinking you betrayed him."

Snape says nothing but grabs his firewhiskey and directly began drinking it from the bottle. "Damn it this is a mess" He says glaring into open air.

"I agree with you." We sat in silence for awhile. "If you could get me a way to know when someone has reached the last defense I could go down there and kill him myself"

"Alex you are only 11. I am not going to let you take that risk"

"Uncle trust me on this. unlike the other teachers that COULD help, though most likely they won't believe us, I will not play fair. I'll attack from the shadows if need be and if I find I am magically outmatched I will shot him with a bloody gun if I have to"

"Wizards don't use guns"

"I know they don't so he won't expect it and I think when facing a Dork Lord with decades more experience than myself I need to be able to defend myself with anything I can find"

"Fine but I will key the warning to myself as well. We will go together and if I feel you are in danger for even a moment to hell with exposing myself. I will attack."

I smile and then I give Snape a hug "Thank you" He puts one arm around me and pats my back.

We spend the next half an hour just talking. He seems to find it amusing that Ron was so quick to think he was cursing Harry's and my brooms.

Laying in bed I began thinking. Was I scared that if proven right I might have to face Voldemort? Yes I was slightly afraid. I mean I am only eleven and I did mention he had decades more experience. He also wouldn't hesitate to kill me.

At the same time my Wolgan half boiled at the thought of crushing one who is known as the strongest wizards just like Dumbledore. Oh my other side wants so badly to crush him and prove how pathetically weak he really is.

Maybe I should start some research into 'those' spells. I mean magic is all about intent, will, and focus. The words are more of an aid. Though that aid becomes a crutch if you only use verbal casting for a long time, that is why I make Harry practice wordless magic whenever he masters a spell verbally.

So if magic is about intent, will, and focus who is to say I can't bring those spells from Video Games to life. I know for a fact that if Moldy Wart is a spirit then one good Holy spell would send him to nothing. I was planning on using that on Peeves after all. Hm but Holy would more than likely take more magic than I currently have.

Let's try with easier spells first. I can already make fire, water, even ice with magic I currently possess. I can already silence people so that is out. But I could practice with Blind or Lightning. I'll start by using my wand at first, since a wand is like training wheels seeing as it makes casting easier. I'll see if I can get my friends to be experi- I mean help me with my new spells.

Since I am not particularly tired yet I might as well read more of Merlin's Journal.

[After the battle between Camelot and the Beast wave]

WHAT THE HELL?! Did you really skip the battle?!

[Hah gotcha.]

... I am definitely hitting him if I ever find him.

[Myself, Arthur, Guinevere, Ahmar, and a few of the knights and Wizards were the only ones who knew Morgana was controlling the beast. Everyone else thought it was Mordred. Now I do not want to talk about all the horrors of the war so let me summarize it.

First off we were severely outnumbered so we made a plan for the Knights and Wizard corps to make a path for myself and Arthur to get to Morgana and Mordred. Of course we couldn't implement the plan immediately and while distracted by the fighting one of the Knights of the Round table kept back and tried to seduce the Queen. Lancelot wanted her to run away with him as he loved her before she became Arthurs wife. This caused some discord between Arthur and his knights.

People died, the knights and wizards fell side by side, the Knights of the Round Table were in disorder from Lancelot's actions. It was looking bleak. But we managed to rally them all into the plan and put everything off until after. Arthur attacked Mordred while I had to face off against Morgana.

The battle was intense but, perhaps due to luck, I managed to prevail over my love but as I pointed my wand down at her I just... I couldn't finish it. Even with Arthur, who had just stabbed Mordred through, telling me to finish it I just couldn't do it. I dropped my wand. If fate decreed that I needed to kill the woman I loved more than anything just because of some stupid prophecy then fate can go fuck itself.

I told her I couldn't kill her as I loved her more than anything even Camelot. I closed my eyes and I waited for her to kill me now that I was weaponless. The blow never happened. Instead she took my hand and when I opened my eyes I could see tears flowing down hers. She drew me in and kissed me right their. It was a kiss of passion, confusion, acceptance, love and pain.

Yes it was one of those love conquers all things, I don't suggest trying it as most of the time that NEVER WORKS! Morgana had returned to her self and I convinced Arthur to tell everyone that Mordred had captured her and he was the real reason behind the attack.

947, 20 years after the battle Arthur passed away at the age of 55. His son had inherited the throne and he had a son and a daughter of his own. His son was about to inherit the throne. If only we knew at the time...

Arthur the second, named after Ahmars father, was told about the truth behind The Battle from his father but what we didn't know is this got him paranoid and fearful of magic. He began to take more time going to the Church who filled his mind about the evils of witchcraft and how those who use magic get their power from demons. (I will tell you this now. Wizards and Witches have never received magic from demons. Some muggles on the other hand, jealous of magic folk, made deals with demonic beings in exchange for magical abilities)

Arthur the Second got into an argument with his father after inheriting the throne and in a fit of anger killed Ahmar. Afraid and in denial of his own actions he began a campaign to purge the 'demons' from Camelot. He told everyone that witches killed his father and how us magic folk were the reason behind the Beast attack 20 years ago.

To the Knights he whispered how Lancelot was a great knight at the time and we must have cast a spell on him to sow dissension so that we could over throw them. Sadly some of the Knights bought into this after all if magic was involved who could say he wasn't being controlled. They turned on us. Ones who fought beside them, empowered the earth to make it bare fruit, helped them build. They turned on us so quickly. We had to escape.

Shortly after, under Arthur the Seconds Rule, Camelot fell and Arthur the Seconds name was stricken from history. This was all due to Ahmars daughter Ginerva who found out the truth behind her fathers death. She took the loyal Knights and people, the ones who didn't believe us magic folk were the epitome of evil, and left Camelot. When Camelot fell she found her brother in the wreckage of the ruined kingdom raving about how magic was the cause of the fall of Camelot. He truly believed we were behind everything even the death of his father.

She ended his life with her own hand and slowly she made sure his name would be forgotten to everyone. Never remembered as good or bad because no one would remember he even existed. It was with her own will she continued the Pendragon line in secret but Camelot would never rise again...]
