Chapter 16 – Separation

It took awhile for Miyuki to finish buying all the necessary stuff that she that they might need like instant food, seasoning, frozen food, cooking tool and clothe for both her and Alex, she use to buy alex clothe in the past so she has no problem with the size.

She park her Triton 4 wheel drive at the entrance of the and unload the stuff in total of 2 big boxes. She carries it in both arm before making way up to the mountain.

It take quite sometime because she need to slow down her speed to not destroy the stuff she just bought. After about 1 hour she is finally infront of her house. It's still quite the fast speed considering that if a normal person hike up there, they will need atleast 6 hour minimum if their rush.

"I'm HOMEE!!" entering the house she shout out announcing her return, not expecting any tho.

"… oh welcome home?" Miyuki that was on the way to the kitchen to put the stuff she brought froze on the spot, literary. She honestly didn't expect Alex to wake up so soon, it was because when she when into the town to buy their grocery she notice that today was Sunday and the day she unconscious was Friday. So when she was past out for 3 days she expect for Alex to will be longer than that.

She turn around and see a boy with his black hair tied up in high pony tail, accompanied by his heavenly good looking face with a pair of violet blue eye that staring at her. She notice that he was wearing her favorite 'home-get-go' hoodie with her short 'sleepy' pant and he seems to be reading some sort of book? not important.

Blood is dripping from her nose by seeing this 'scenery' in front of her. It's made her kinda giddy seeing her loved ones wearing her personal favorite clothing without telling her. This will gave her a chance to give him a some sort of punishment like *****, ***** ...

While Miyuki was in her own world, Alex on the other hand notice that Miyuki was staring at 'his' clothe, come to conclusion that seeing her redden face and blood dripping was because she was angry he didn't ask for her permission if she permit him to wear her clothe he apologize and ask her formally.

"…. Umm….. sorry for asking a bit late, but can I borrow your cloth?" Alex ask somewhat hesitant, although he has already decide to steel himself to being cold toward anyone in this new 'life', in the end it's still to change the root of his personality and that is to become extremely reliance for someone who the first to accept/help him the moment he open his eye in a new world. And the connection he felt with didn't help with this situation.

Alex question brought Miyuki back to reality form her dirty thought. She wipe of the blood that was leaking from her nose and refocus her gaze on Alex. But she furrow her eyebrow as soon as she see her current state, although his face was not showing any emotion when he ask that question, but it did not escape Miyuki eye that his hand that was holding the book was trembling slightly.

When Alex saw that Miyuki facial expression change he flinch on instinct, he lower his head and say in low voice.

"..S-sorry" his voice was low, if Miyuki hearing was not sharper enough she will not be able to hear him from the distance between them. Her frowning just get deeper hearing that.

'Why is he acting like this, although Alex is usually acting spoiled he never show fear to me, or technically does he even have fear at all? He is always brave in front of any challenge and always keep his smile even when he is hurting from using to much of his power. Then why did he acting like this ? something is wrong with him.' She expect that when Alex wake up he will be running straight to her and hug her, tell her he miss her, having a lovie dovie moment, not this.

She walk to Alex, that was still keeping his head low. She see his hand is still trembling, reaching in front of Alex she just hug him. She notice that the moment she hug him he flinch a little bit, but just it there silently.

" What happen to you Alex?" she ask him gently while rubbing the back of his head.

" Huh?" Only then did Alex lift his head and look at her. Eventhough there was no tear visible in his eye, she can see the pain in it. It hurt her more than him to see he is so vulnerable like this.

"What happen to you before we meet again? Why did you acting like this, the Alex I know is although sometime spoiled, he never show his weakness in front of anyone, even me." Miyuki continue her word, but this seem to only confuse Alex more.

"….. What do you mean 'again'? Didn't we just meet the first time before? I think you mistaken me another person…" as he said this the more low his voice are.

This time around, it was Miyuki turn to confuse. What did he mean by the 'first time we meet', 'mistaken for another person'? How can she mistaken Alex for another person? The possibility she mistaken Alex for another person is lower than *insert your metaphor here*

Then suddenly a though hit her making her froze on the spot.

'D-did he….. did Alex don't remember who am I? Did he lose the memories of our life t-together in the past? P-please don't.... that will be to cruel for me and him.' her body start to tremble at the end of this thought.

She want to cry, all the memories of the time they spend together start flowing in her mind. How can he forget the time they spend, all the joy, the sadness, the helplessness, the happiness they share didn't that mean anything at all to him? But she know that it wasn't his fault, something must happen to him for him to forget all of this. There is no way her Alex will willingly forget it.

She decide to ask him some question to know what did he forget.

"Do you remember our Granny?" Miyuki start to question Alex all the key important detail about their life. But all of it make her more and more despair, he doesn't remember anything, anything at all. Her tear start to fall from her eye's. All the experience they go through together was now lost, and only herself remember it. It was a painful situation to be in.

Alex was now flustered, he don't know what is Miyuki want from asking all those questions, but he know that it was important to her so he answer her truthfully. And now seeing her like this, it hurt him. He don't know why he felt like this, is it because of their connection? What is the relationship between the two of them? But seeing that she was breaking down like this he make a decision.

She mistook him for someone else, although it will hurt him even more if he separate from her but thing has come to this. He has no place here, the longer he stay here the more attach will be of her. He don't want to make the same mistake like he did in the past, so he decide cut the relationship early to not hurt his already broken heart. Maybe he was destined to be loveless again in this life.

When he was about to tell Miyuki his decision, Miyuki beat him to it by telling him.

"…. Just leave me alone for some-" Miyuki want to tell him to give her some time to recollect her thought but before she could finish her sentence she notice that Alex body shook violently. She was bewildered why he is reacting this way until she look at Alex face. He has a smile on his face trying to mask the true emotion inside of him, but it fail miserably because of the single tear that was falling down on his cheek.

"O-Okay...… I-I'm sorry again M-Miyuki-san, I-I'll take my leave" he still has the same smile but he was shuttering on his word. And only now that she realize that Alex seem to misunderstood her word.

"W-wait!!!"

But it was to late to explain to him because he has already disappear from her view.
