5 Crypt of the skeletal mage

Landing Point:Wilderness: Northern continent: 6579.03.22 LB

"Lagiel, Wake up Lagiel..." Theron was nudging Lagiel to wake her up. "It is your turn to keep guard on the group" He tried again when he saw that she turned around, only to be met with a death glare. "And I was at the best part of my dream too..." she muttered to herself as she was getting up, as she tried to stand straight as she would back on earth she lost her footing because of her wings and fell inside the firepit. "Ouch that hurt!" she exclaimed annoyedly, only to be stared at dumbfoundedly by Theron. "What?" she growled out. "Never seen someone lose their footing?" "No no not that... You do realize that you are sitting inside the blazing fire?" "I do?" That is when she noticed the prompts in her vision

Wild flames dealt you 1 hp damage.

Your red draconic bloodline makes you immune to heat and flames: damage resisted.

You have found the hidden and locked part of your bloodline. The aesterlars are all elven were-dragons, a part of your bloodline has been sealed with a four-way seal, by the gods and you have to unlock it before you can advance to the next lvl. To unlock a part of the seal you need to feed it 2500 exp.

Her eyes widened "Uffa..." was all she could say as she tried to get up from the unstable burning wood 'structure' that was the campfire. "Sooo... I am immune to fire it seems." Lagiel looked at the tilted campfire. "Dammn that wood was quite mean... I mean it hurt my back." Then she used the very first "spell" she had and she turned into a normal looking elf even her hair color changed to blonde. A more natural looking color for an elf for sure. "You look like a different person..." Just hope that the others won't attack you as soon as they wake up..." Theron muttered "Well I will go and scout around while the sun isn't up... It would be a pain to do anything for me by then." And with that, he left with a bundle of ropes under his arm. Lagiel took a piece of wood and started carving it, as she did back on Earth while camping. It felt as if the wood came alive under her knife, she never felt this way while carving back home. It felt like the wood wanted to look like that or as if the wood itself was guiding her hand to carve in the way it was supposed to look like.

You have created a masterwork sculpture: The ascent of the dragon.

The sculpture featured a dragon while flying, the dragon felt so vivid and alive that she could even feel the wooden dragon breathing slowly, and she could see in her mind's eye as a huge dragon was taking off and flying high up the sky looking over her land, she felt freedom wash over her and... "Wow, nice sculpture!" Theron sat down beside Lagiel and threw an object at her. She dropped the sculpture in her lap and caught the leathery bundle flying towards her face.

"What gives?" Lagiel asked the drow annoyed. "Couldn't you have given it to me like a normal person?" Theron just laughed and took the sculpture form Lagiel. "Could you help with those carving skills and skin this ex-bunny I just caught? I will go and check out what's to the south! Oh and wake up those lazy guys I found a cave full of skeletons just north of here. We gotta clear that place out if we wanna have peace around here. I also saw a huge lake to the south from the cave so gonna check that out while you wake these guys up and make breakfast. Bye!" And he just jumped up and left while putting the sculpture in a pouch on his belt.

Lagiel couldn't help but sigh at the sight of this nonchalant attitude of the elf. And that was the time Kyleena decided to wake up and greet the whole camp with a shriek! "Who are you?" Lagiel couldn't help but sigh at this knowing full well that her 'strange' appearance, especially from the back, would make the others freak out. "My name is Santa." She said sarcastically hoping that she would catch on the Christian custom that she was pretty sure wouldn't be anywhere else but Earth or rather not with that name. But when she turned back to see a Kyleena taut to the point of snapping in a fighting stance she just sighed. "What have you done with Lagiel and Theron?" Kyleena continued asking her not relenting. "I am Lagiel and Theron went to check out the lake to the south." "You are a blond elf she was a read-head! You two can't be the same." All that shouting woke up Garrot and Melior as well and now they were standing beside Kyleena looking at her in a hostile manner. "You know what guys you make breakfast we wait for Theron to get back and he can vouch for me." Lagiel just had enough of these unbelieving team. She sighed again as she reminisced about the past. She had a little sister back on earth who liked fantasy just as much as she did, now she was wondering if Lucia, her little sister, crossed over as well or if she was not considered a lost cause by Lucifer. Kyleena took her dagger and the bunny from her and handed them to Garrot. "You skin him I don't want to touch this poor bunny." She said while giving an evil glare to Lagiel. "Well if you are Lagiel tell me what she told me while we were out gathering wood for the campfire!" Lagiel sighed again. "Aaand there goes my secret... I even thought it was safe with you, damn it... I was a guy back on Earth okay? My name was Alexander Eon." "Your name was what now?" She could see Kyleena's eyes widen in recognition. "Ummm... You knew me?" Lagiel asked Kyleena, but she didn't answer just rushed over to her side and started crying "Bi...hi...hig... bro...ho...ho! I... I... thought I... would ne...he..hever se..he you a...hagain." Her body shaking while crying, she must have been trying really hard to hold the tears in all this while. Especially since she was a green peace activist back at home. But that explained why she chose the monk class... She had a black belt in Taekwondo. "Sis... Lil'sis, I am here don't worry." She told her while rocking her gently, to calm her down... "But you know you should call me sis right now, I mean I am your sister from now on for better or worse" She chuckled and made a bit of space between herself and her sister to wink at her. Kyleena giggled at that. "So do you believe me that I am Lagiel now?" She asked those that were around. Garrot shrugged "I don't care as long as you don't stab us in the back who cares", "The others believe you but I am keeping my eye on you while Theron can't prove your innocence." Melior told Lagiel with a sharp look.

The next hour or so was a pure nightmare... Melior was constantly looking at Lagiel, and that is when it first hit her... She needs to go to the toilet... and worst of all she doesn't know how girls even try it ... it isn't like she ever asked her sister something of the sort... and it just simply seems so hard... Well apart from the awkwardness of having her sister teach her while having a gnome close by although he had to turn back he still could hear everything, and to top it off he not only had the urge to turn back, I mean there were two beauties behind him, naked! He also had to hold in his laughter at the stupidity of the situation, which was a torture in itself. That is why Melior decided that he would mete out a punishment that this vile girl had coming if she isn't who she claims to be.

To Melior's dismay, Theron verified Lagiel's claims and he had to let her off the hook, but these events would drag the gnome down to the path of pervertedness forever corrupting his 'pure' soul. After this incident has passed, they ate the bunny stew without veggies, only hardtacks... It was an upgrade from the dried meat for sure but there was still definitely room for improvement. "How are we supposed to eat the plants here without knowing what we eat? I mean we are in a different world! Some plants could be poisonous that are poisonless on Earth!" Lagiel sighed knowing that her taste buds trained for Burgers and Gyros and other fast-food would not get its fill for a loooooong while. While they were eating Theron started talking about his findings this morning. "So I was snooping around earlier this morning, first I started going north. That is where I found the bunny we are eating and something even better! That might help us when it starts raining or through the winter if we don't have a roof over our heads." "That is a great find shift elf!" Kyleena shouted jumping up kicking the log they were sitting on away and pushing it out from under Garrot, Melior who fell down, spilling the contents of their plates on the ground and a bit on themselves. Lagiel laughed at their expense as she was on her way to fill her plate up when this happened. "Sorry, I didn't intend to do that." Kyleena mumbled awkwardly as she was getting redder by the second. Garrot and Melior just grumbled as the stew wasn't hot or anything of the sort. "As I was saying," Theron said with a laugh, "I have found a cave but it was full of undead creatures. So first thing first we have to clear it before it will be useful to us in any way. We should do that today, and tomorrow we could start gathering resources to build a log house here around the clearing. We need to be ready, I mean there is around 1 million people waiting for us! We have to start getting ready, and build a city around this place where we can live! And then we can expand and conquer the whole world" He was getting into an enthusiastic evil crazy villain mood, he even started laughing like that only to get a 'coughing fit'... "So you have an 8th grader syndrome?" "What? No... That was supposed to be funny you guys..." Theron just shook his head in disappointment that no one got his joke... "Let's just forget that happened and let's go and clear the cave after breakfast, we might need it sooner or later..." He sighed depressed and put a spoonful of stew into his mouth, only to grimace at its lack of flavor...

After the meal, it took them around twenty minutes of trecking to get over to the cave, they could see 2 skeletons in the entrance to the cave, the skeletons looked to be around the height of a human they both had onehanded axes as a weapon, one of them had a shield so old that it would break even if one looked at it, the other had lost his left hand and most likely his shield with it. The eye sockets of the skeletons weren't filled with the darkness of the void but they were overflowing with a green light that seemed to be able to look through shadows. That same green light could be seen pulsing between their ribs as if it was their heart. Theron took out his bow and let an arrow loose at the skeleton with the lousy shield. The arrow penetrated the skeleton's eye socket sticking out of it, providing a funny but horrifying scene as the skeleton turned over where they were hiding and starting to slowly come over to their way with an unnerving clacking sound. The other skeleton started coming over putting his stump for left hand in front of him as if it was holding a shield. Theron's next arrow hit the shield in the center, the old defensive item couldn't endure any longer and with a loud crack it fell in two, falling out of the hand of the skeleton behind it, now that the undead confirmed where the attacks were coming from started running towards the source of the aggression, and three other enemies left the cave. A skeleton with a relatively well-kept bow, one with a short sword and a shield, and another with a longsword. Kyleena shrouded herself with mage armor:

You cast Mage Armor on target: Lagiel Lenory, AC +5 full AC= 24.

And she jumped out with her staff high in the sky bringing it down on the skeleton shot in the eye by Theron. The hit connected and through her strength, she powdered the whole skull of the skeleton together with his spine and ribs, it was as if she cut the skeleton in half, with the exception that everything in the way of her staff and monstrous strength got obliterated.

You hit: Skeleton Warrior with a two-handed staff and dealt 10 Health point damage.

Kyleena was following right behind her and she kicked the skeleton, with a flying kick on the head, so hard that the skeleton's head flew off hitting the archer and making it miss a shot. To the surprise of the team the skeleton just turned towards Kyleena and swung his axe at her, luckily she had fast reactions so she did manage to evade the incoming blade but it made her question if the other skeleton was truly dead or just faking it... The skeletons with the swords started rushing over making a very loud rattling sound. That is when Melior held up an amulet with the vision of a hammer. "Hear me O dead and listen to my command! I follower of Thor god of war, brother to Loki, who is father to Hel the mother of the undead. Hear my command and give thyself to me. I am thy master and thy are my slave!" Hearing Melior's command all the undead stopped in their track looking at him, unable to move the least. "Kill them I can't hold them for more than a minute. I couldn't put them under my command because my lvl is too low, but I can stop them from doing anything for a while, but I can't move while doing this or it will break the spell." They all rushed at the stopped monsters Kyleena unleashed a flurry of blows onto the archer skeleton breaking its neck ribs and pelvis. Garrot rushed at the skeleton with a short sword and a shield and started bashing he needed to hit it 5 times to finally dismantle it... those bones of the bastard were so slippery, the sword couldn't bite into it at all. Theron plunged his daggers between the ribs of the headless bone collection, and then he rushed over to the one wielding a single longsword and started dismantling it piece by piece, with fast precise movements. By the end of the whole minute, Melior gave them none of the skeletons remained standing.

Your party survived an encounter(Lagiel Lenory, Melior Unneron, Kyleena Flamewalker, Garrot Keldar, Theron Shelor. VS. Skeleton warrior, Skeleton warrior, Skeleton warrior, Skeleton warrior, Skeletal bowman). Your party has been given the reward of 1500 exp it has been divided between the team, but due to the enemies being part of the dungeon crypt of the skeletal mage you can't get the exp without clearing the dungeon first.

"What is this bullshit!" Lagiel shouted. "We wanted to clear this place anyways." Theron tried to placate his teammate who had anger management issues. "We could use those axes to cut down trees, let's put them inside the cave, they would come in handy later." It was Melior who proposed this sound idea. "I mean it is true that Lagiel can destroy trees with her punches but it should be a bit better if we do have the right item for the job." Melior defended his idea from no one in particular especially if we look at the fact that as soon as he told the team his idea they took it to the heart and picked up the axes and went inside the cave. The cave was just one big chamber around 35 feet wide and 85 feet long give or take at some points since it wasn't a manmade chamber with perfect edges. In the middle of the cave, there was a set of stairs leading down into the darkness. "Well I have been given a few torches by the gods or whatever gave us our equipment after we choose our classes so we can use that for now, but we might need a way to make those." They lit the torch as they walked downstairs.
