Chapter57: The Scary Power of Jealousy

We finally went outside the shop after we finished buying some more weapons and other equipment for our team.

The sun is already low and the clouds are now turning orange.

As always, Alice is sitting on top of my shoulder while Clara-san is walking beside me.

[ you bought a pretty interesting sword, huh? Haruto-kun? ] Asked Clara-san from beside me.

[ you think so? ]

what I bought was a katana. I only accidentally saw it hanging inside the shop but I never expected to see a katana in this world.

The Hilt looks pretty hard and well-design while the blade has some kind of design written on it. It also looks sharp, just like how a katana should be.

[ I have never seen someone use a sword like that before... ]

[ hmm...? is that so? this kind of sword is the norm in my country, so I thought I would like to buy it. Well, I also know how to use it a little so... ]

I did kendo lessons before, I just hope it would be pretty useful for using a real katana.

[ but it doesn't look like it can block other attacks... it might break if it gets hit by another sword. ]

[ well, that's right. We don't use katanas to block, we only use them to attack. It's lighter than any kind of swords out there so you can wield it easily and faster. ]

[ oh~ is that so? I guess it has it's own benefits too, huh? ]

[ onii-chan, does that mean you will teach me how to use this kind of sword too? ] Asked Alice who's sitting on top of my shoulder.

[ hmm...? don't worry, I already thought you how to use it actually. The techniques I thought you were actually for using this kind of sword. You remember I never thought you how to block, right? ]

[ oh!? is that so, onii-chan!? ] Alice exclaimed in surprise.

[ yup, I wasn't able to find any other sword like this so I wasn't able to buy you one. ]

[ that's okay, onii-chan. I think I'm better at using bow so I don't like using a sword for now... ]

[ is that so, Alice? but make sure you still focus to learn how to use a sword, okay? ]

We finally arrive at Marinda-san's Inn.

[ oh? that was fast, Haruto-kun? did anything happen? ]

Asked Marinda-san at the counter.

[ I... I guess I touched the wrong subject... I-I'm sorry, Haruto-kun... but I still have some cleaning to do... just... I guess, avoid getting too close with too many girls... ]

[ what was that, Marinda-san!? and don't just leave me here like this! ]

Both Alice and Clara-san made me kneel on the floor for hours while explaining what was all Marinda-san talked about.

I don't even know why they'd get so angry but I needed to apologize anyway.

And now, Alice and I are sleeping in our room...

Only... Alice is sleeping on top of me while hugging my whole body with both of her arms and both of her legs... so I can't really sleep properly... not to mention that Alice's hair is in my face that I can't properly breathe.

[ onii-chan... ] Alice whispered in a tiny voice.

[ oh... you're still awake, Alice? ]

[ ...you won't leave me, right, onii-chan? ]

[ hmm...? why do you even ask Alice? you know I won't, right? ]

I can't even count now how many times Alice asked me that question... maybe she's really anxious about it...

I don't exactly know what happened, but I guess Alice was actually really mad back then...

I then stroked Alice's head.
