Chapter 22

On a moonlit walk, there rests a silent forest with a single individual on an aimless stroll.

There is a lone girl, her hair so white it reflects small amounts of moonlight, almost hiding her snow-like fox ear resting soundly on top of her head.

A soft wind blows through the trees, disturbing some of the fallen leaves.

She wanders for hours until within the distance parts of the sky turn orange, and the smell of burning flesh taints the air, soon voices can be heard cheering in delight.

The white-haired fox continues to march towards the slowly emerging fortress with determination.

Are protagonist strolls up towards the main gate, with no watch in sight, Sapphire sticks a bundle of potato masher grenades onto the red gate and steps back a couple of feet.

An ear-piercing explosion erupts throughout the base as the red gate is blown and torn apart, and metal shrapnel is flung in every possible direction.

Unknown Ork "Invader! get ready for WAAAGH!!"

"WAAAGH!!"

"WAAAGH!!"

"WAAAGH!!"

"WAAAGH!!"

Is suddenly being chanted throughout the base as a horde and battle-hungry Orks charge towards Sapphire with many equipped with choppa's and similar melee weapons, some are so enthusiastic about the WAAAGH!! That some are charging with only their fists, shaking them with vigour.

Sapphire, standing there, menacingly!! Let's out her battle cry, filled with bubbling rage and amplified with her perks, affects the orks for a brief second as they suddenly feel like they are staring down a predator, only for the fear to amplify their battle vigour.

With her battle cry soon over her rage bubbles overtaking her, the once standing frame turned into a slouched and slightly outstretched, arms low to the ground claws extended with their fresh ice coating, she slowly starts resembling a crouching predator.

( ps I was going to say a pounding fox but when I look it up all I did was laugh at the overly cute pic I have seen so I had to change it XD)

Her rage rising, overflowing! As the single fox charges head-first into the horde of orks without a care or even a thought of any outcome except to rip and tear!

Meanwhile somewhere else

Sapphire leaps toward the first Ork of the horde digging her clawed feet and hands into their fungus, meat flesh, latching on at the right height for an old reliable throat tear with her teeth as the first Ork drops, only for Sapphire to duck and manoeuvre right to avoid a choppa swing toward her head.

Once again manoeuvring out the way of multiple types of choppas and back toward the first Ork, sapphire grabs the fallen orks choppa and( as the kids say) yeet it across the battlefield, taking a couple of heads with it.

Sapphire is jolted forward a step as the sound of crunching metal is heard and promptly ignores it, instead prompting them to continue her single-woman army charge forward, slashing, clawing and biting her way through. Taking out orks left and right and even above her at some points as the not-so-subtle smell of blood overflows in the air, limbs spread about All over the floor with frost-bitten patches all over the flesh.

Sapphire can be seen jumping into the air, latching her two pairs of clawed hands onto the top and bottom of an orks head, with the sound of bones shattering and flesh tearing, the top half of the orks head comes off leaving the lower half of the skull to spew blood over its self and fall to the floor as sapphire lands next to another Ork. She is hit in the sides by two different choppa's one a poorly put-together axe and a long sword, but sadly for the Orks these weapons only shatter just like the rest.

Following this, a piece of broken choppa enters the sternum of the Ork, fracturing the sternum in the process and is dragged upward toward the throat as gargling is soon heard from this one Ork.

Sapphire then turns towards three more Orks

Charging toward them like a freight train, one of the Orks throws a solid straight punch towards Sapphire, connecting, only for Sapphire to grab ahold of his arm, snapping it in two and shoving the exposed bone into its owner's skull. Ripping the bone out of the skull of the fallen ork she then goes and stabs the exposed bone into the eyeball of the remaining Orks, using her other clawed hand to tear out the windpipe of the other one, only to take the exposed bone from the eye and shoving it down the orks throat forcing him to choke to death.

Hearing this sapphire swings her head instinctively towards one of the pure metal walls surrounding her, which suddenly bursts, erupting open with flames coming forth with what looks like two imps coming through along with a Barron of hell, along with a spacial distortion and someone running through. Sadly sapphire was unable to get a proper look as she only saw some kind of long green coat before it disappeared.

The imp's and Barron's designs are very similar to the doom imps from Doom Eternal, Sapphire bursts forth, attempting to annihilate the imps before they get a chance to do anything else, but unfortunately for our protagonist, that's not the case as both shoot fireballs, unable to dodge because of the close proximity all sapphire can do is to cover her self with ice, which she does.

The two fireballs collide with one another causing a large explosion of fire along with a large crater to appear, melting some of the remaining orks alive. A second later steam can be seen covering the area as Sapphire's ice starts melting rapidly from the close proximity to the imps fire.

Two frozen daggers cut through the steam and imbed the self into the two imps, but not killing as Sapphite once again rushes towards the imps in a slight zig-zag pattern and arrives at one of two imps.

Sapphire goes for one of the embedded frozen daggers, only for the imp to recklessly throw its claws toward her face, being nearly decapitated as three slash marks appear on her left cheek she grabs the frozen dagger, twisting it in a clockwise direction for half a second before ripping it out and shoving it through the incoming palm of the imp's other hand.

A loud thudding can be heard from behind the imps as Sapphire hears this, dark souls rolls to the side as a burning blade come through the imp's chest, ripping its lungs apart and killing it instantly.

Not wanting to deal with these demons, Sapphire decides to end this Barron quickly as a Crucible blade is summoned into her hands with a mix of green and red light, as an excessively sharp ominously glowing red Ikakalaka appears within her hands, cutting the Barron into three pieces.

The crucible blade with no more uses disintegrates in her hands as she stares down the last demon, before pulling out a badly sawn-oof shoota and blading the imps… doing nothing but imbed a small bit of metal into its flesh.

Instead of reloading the gun, sapphire decides to use the secret art of throwing sh*t and throwing the shoota towards the imp and dashing, only to take a fireball to the face.

Thrown back by the blast sapphire rage dolls for a good three bounces before stopping face-first in the ground, slowly getting up we get a look at the damage done, her clothes are now singed and or burned clean off, her hood part of her shoulder and arms are all missing clothing with similar damages toward her bandages, revealing servers burn and melting skin.

Sapphire then once again charged toward the imp stumbling slightly, the imp not excepting this word human to be able to get back up much less charge toward themself with their melting flesh was unable to react quickly enough as Sapphire pounces on top of the imp and bringing it to the ground.

Thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, crack, thump, squelch, crack, squelch.

Sapphire melting flesh recovers reasonably, but not fully as severe burns are still clearly visible( her healing and one of the slayer skills) she looks at the remaining and dwindling ork numbers before pulling out a bolter pistol and shooting them multiple times before walking towards them.

When Sapphire arrived closer towards the now-dead Orks her skin starts healing rapidly as in her eyes she starts picking up small glowing blue things that start healing the damage done and filling up all of her repeated mana and stamina.

Looking like herself un-melted, her scars all over her body can clearly be seen, so she quickly straps any spare metal parts to her clothes to cover up her scarring quickly and ties them with loose bits of cloth or rope that were lying around.

She then collects all the body's up and receives a large sum of money from the orks 12000 gold pieces and the three demons provide 3200 gold pieces (imps 600 and Barron 2000) so 15200 gold pieces from this encounter.

"So I can now leave right? I got the 40 more orks I needed to kill so I could leave."

" why are you silent?"

{ well you would have been able to leave … if the imps didn't blow up those couple of orks. You only need two more kills and you can leave.}

"FUUUUUUU"

"I SHOULD OF KILLED THOSE F*CKING DEMONS MORE SLOWLY."

"Mumble mumble, I better be able to buy so f*cking fish fingers and custard. Mumble mumble"

Two hours pass

Sapphire has now collected an even bigger useless arsenal of ork guns which for some reason they didn't use, …convenient …. (T_T)

As Sapphire walks around looking for a good tree to sleep in for a bit of shut-eye before any more shenanigans happen there is a sudden quacking noise.

This brings Sapphire on guard as well never know about space ducks, they are pretty vicious after all, a duck holding a basic of lemons runs in front of her, dropping a couple before doing some wing signs and forcing a tear in the fabric of space to accrue and steps through.

Unknown" Oh my lemon delivery is here thanks delivery space duck."

Delivery space duck" Quack." With a salute.

"Oh, you left the tear open again."

As this is said a well-built 6ft6 young man with dark red hair and green eyes steps out in what looks like a bartender's outfit.

Red-haired man" Oh neat, a fox girl, haven't met one of those yet, can I ask for your name?"

Unknown" Tavish, help me kick out this rowdy customer will ya choom?

Tavish? " ok be there in a sec. Well foxie, bye." As he lightly waved and closes the tear in space.

Sapphire "What. The. F*ck?!"

Mini/side story

Years ago

Jacks pov

"So I'm a noble now? Does that mean I have to do noble things like… being a snob?"

Skannon "What, Jack no, just be yourself. Oh and you will be joining the main school here in a couple of days, so be ready ok."

"Oh, sure."

Weeks later

Jack" Excuse me, miss dragon, can I sit here with you?"

Nyxondra" Oh sure, but if you want to be friends you need to at least beat me in an arm wrestle ye."

"Sure, why not" Jack replies with slight hesitation

"Finally someone actually accepted!"

As Nyxondra readily puts her arm on the table Jack does the same.

Nyxondra" ok on three."

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

Bang

As Jack instantly loses.

Jack" w… what, wow ok …again!"

Nyxondra" ok!"

Bang

Jack "Again!"

Bang

Bang

Bang

Bang

Jack" ok, I need a break my knuckles are starting to hurt."

Nyxondra"… oh."

Jack" Can I try again tomorrow?"

Nyxondra" r really, I mean ye sure of course ."

This happens for three days straight

Jack " ok this time I will win." With a determined face.

Bang

Jack and Nyxondra line up for another arm wrestle, Jack puts his everything into it like every other time, Jack pushing and pushing slowly but Shirley( not a mistake) jack pushes Nyxondra's hand back toward her end of the table.

With a light tap, her knuckles tap the table and Nyxondra's face lights up.

"I got a friend yay. (^O^)"

Jack in his head "She did that on purpose, well then might as well pretend to not know."

Jack" Yes! I did it finally I beat you."

"Looks like we can finally be friends Jack."

As Nuxondra gets even more excited acid start flowing from her mouth like a waterfall and slowly desolating the desk they are both sitting at.

"Ahh."

"Bl, sorry I'm still getting used to my new glands haha." Blushing slightly from embarrassment.

Jack wafts his hand in front of his face as a slightly vinegar-like smell comes from Nyxondra's mouth.

Jack " Acid breath much."

Nyxondra" th that's not funny ok, I told you I'm still getting used to my new glands.

This type of scene happens a lot through the years when they were able to meet up as when Nyxondra got too excited about food or Hobbies or got too happy meeting up with Jack the acid would flow like a river for a good couple of seconds before stopping, the only time it really bothers her though was when it happens with food as it is her favourite pass time, eating and enjoying food.

Soon rumour's started spreading as children's and parents alike started seeing Jack hanging out with a black dragon, many implied how insane he was or that he was suicidal for talking with the black dragon's daughter, some even saying he was trying to extort money from them.

Jack, on the other hand, saw Nyxondra as what his sister might have ended up like, chaotic fun. while it was a shock to find out she was a black dragon, the shock died down quickly as he enjoyed the company and the chaotic stuff they got up to.

Hello readers, hope you enjoyed this chapter, so do any of you have any ideas on what I could do with Sapphire next, well I mean what world should I send her to next, oh but not straight away as I will have her do something in her starter planet for a bit first, if anyone has any suggestions for what she could do or something I could implement that could be helpful.
