Chapter 28: The Flow of One's Body

"Getting fired up?" said Ae-Ri.

"Yeah...When will I begin my expedition?" said Fedyenka.

"Anytime you want to. You will have Bea by your side."

Fedyenka wondered, "How many times are they gonna lend me trinkets to monitor my moves?

"Spacin' out little one?" said Phantom who appeared out of nowhere.

"I still don't understand this relationship's sense..." said Fedyenka.

"Neither do I actually. In WHAT SENSE DID THEY TELL YOU THAT I AM YOUR BROTHER?!?"

"Phantom don't shout, man." said Qiang Li.

"Alright Fedyenka, you are gonna have a stroll now. I won't be there though. Me, Phantom and Qiang are busy with some matters. said Ae-Ri.

"Is it about the materials? I have never thought that OUTE could be out of materials. I mean the technologies are so advanced. Has something happened? said Fedyenka.

"Well you have heard about Xeroxer I believe. Not the one that copies papers, the one that can copy anything. There are some technical problems...We will be staying here that is why we can't accompany you throughout your expedition." said Phantom.

Fedyenka realized that they were not actually staying there. Instead, they will possibly be observing her.

"Oh, I have another thing to give you. The bracelet made of beads you wore that day. You remember?" said Ae-Ri and handed Melissa to Fedyenka.

"Yeah I named her Melissa." said Fedyenka.

"Alright then. It saves me a lot of explanation."

"Thanks." said Fedyenka. "But I cannot let my guards down. They are going to observe me and I am certainly sure about it." thought Fedyenka.

"We will be going now then. Is there anything else you think you need?" said Qiang Li. He got close to Fedyenka the moment he was going to go towards the door behind her. He whispered to Fedyenka's ears, "Take care over there."

"Okay." said Fedyenka with her voice risen.

Qiang Li stared at her with a bemused face. He mumbled, "Why are you so dumb and smart at the same time?" after opening the door and going outside of the mall.

All of them left the mall as well except Fedyenka and Uncle Jeff.

"Aren't you gonna go little Miss?" said Uncle Jeff.

"Oh yeah." said Fedyenka and left the place.

She went outside and looked up to the sky. She remembered that once she read in the notebook Yuri gave her, there is a space station of OUTE. It's called Super Omnia Caelos and SOC in short. It is said that the headquarter of SOC is located in the last part of the skies. It was still morning so she couldn't stare at the sky for too long. She looked down and wondered, "If this sky we see isn't the only one then, how big of a world is over there?"

Suddenly, something rang in the pocket of her jacket. She took it and found out that it is a mobile phone. There were some things written on the screen,

"You have to be more careful. What if I hid a bomb there?

Yours truly Qiang Li"

"That dude..." said Fedyenka. The ring stopped already. She called back to that number. She heard someone's voice. It seemed familiar.

"Hey, Fed, can you hear me? It's me Yuri." said the person on the phone.

"Oh it's you. Sorry I couldn't pick up the call." said Fedyenka.

"It's alright. How are you doing?"

"I am doing alright so far. What about you?"

"I am busy as always. But this time I am busy with something else. I will call you back later."

"Okay. Bye."

"Goodbye."

Yuri hung the phone. Fedyenka suddenly got her eyes widened and realized that she cannot go back alone now. She looked for a map in the phone. She has heard that it has everything after all. She spent hours on it and finally found a map. Then again she remembered that she spent hours on nothing. She could just ask Melissa.

"Well, at least I got to know more about this thing. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise." said Fedyenka and took a deep breath.

She called out Melissa. Melissa responded and said,

"At your service. What can I do for you?"

"Lead me to my room." said Fedyenka

"Do you know where your room is located?"

"You record locations don't you? Where do I spend most of my time?"

"You spend most of your time in room no. 110 of the northern side of building of the Robins."

"Okay now lead me there."

"Alright. Please go straight."

Melissa led her to the room where she practices. When she got in the room she saw a girl with long pigtails. Her eyes were dark pink and her hair was dark brown. She looked almost like a doll.

"He he he. you are such- oh so-...he he..."

"What?" said Fedyenka hearing her words that doesn't make any sense.

The girl came towards her with a happy face. Her pink eyes were filled with hunger. She came to Fedyenka slowly. Fedyenka did not want to hurt her so she backed away. Yuri got in the room and shot the girl. The girl died at the exact moment.

"Yuri WHAT WAS THAT? Oh and how are you?" said Fedyenka.

"I am doing fine mostly. Don't stress out about her. I will call Kristen now. She will lend you a hand with your training today. I am really busy right now. Have you eaten anything? It's lunchtime now."

"No. I will eat something, don't worry. What about you?"

"I haven't either. Go get something. I will get something for myself as well. I will be leaving now."

Yuri left the room. Some guapas appeared and took the dead body of that girl. Fedyenka was left shocked by what she saw but the feeling did not last for too long. She was already used to the strange things that someone who lives in OUTE has to see. She felt bad for the girl. She seemed to be tormented and had scars all over her body.

After a while, Kristen entered.

"Hey Fedyenka!" said Kristen.

"Hello. How have you been?" said Fedyenka.

"I have been more than just fine. My boyfriend proposed me. I mean to marry him."

"That's cool! I don't know your boyfriend yet though. To be honest it is really hard to imagine that someone who works here can have a boyfriend."

"He he. He is amazing. He's so handsome but well, his haircut is a bit weird. Doesn't go with my taste but, soul is the thing that matters right? Alright now, back to your training. You have to control your energy flow first. Think of it as a flowing river. It flows in you like your blood. It reaches it's end and goes back. Sometimes it overflows. Just like how you can control you blood pressure with breathing techniques, knowing your own power well and it's flow can give you the control of your own body. Try flowing your power from the outside."

Fedyenka took her hands close, concentrated, and created flow of her energy. She felt peaceful doing it. She could feel gentle breeze of nature even from the room. She was floating.

"You have gotten a good grasp of your flow. Now, follow my commands. Can you feel you arteries? Can you locate them? Can you memorize what you read in the notebook?"

"I can."

"Try flowing your blood through the energy ducts you made outside. It will hurt-"

Fedyenka flowed her blood like Kristen told her to.

"Wow you are a fast learner. Okay now, do you know where your most recent wounds are?" said Kristen.

"I do." said Fedyenka.

"Can you feel that those places hurts?"

"I do."

"Try to move this blood over there through your body to heal yourself."

Fedyenka absorbed the blood. She stopped floating. When she rolled up her pants to see if her wounds are gone. She checked her hands, the wounds were not there anymore. Not even scars remained. Kristen looked at her proudly.

"Did I do it?" said Fedyenka.

"Yes you did. Now the only matter is that if you can still control it when it's time."

"Should I try again?"

"You can. By the way, have you ever worshipped?"

"No. I have heard many things about god and god's creation but I never worshipped. Can you teach me?"

"Well to worship, you have to do the same thing you did just now but the only difference is that you will make multiple ducts at once."

"Why is worshipping like this?"

"Well I don't know. Perhaps, because this way we can benefit ourselves."

"Makes sense."

"Practice with each weapons for half an hour. After that, do the power flow thingy."

"Okay..."

Kristen left the room with a smiling face. Fedyenka got busy with her training again. While she was flowing her energy she got in deep thoughts.

"Maybe there is something wrong out there but not in here. Theoretically, Yuri is hiding this thing from me so that I will be on my own and they will be able to prove that I am no threat to this organization. Yuri, Phantom, Ae-Ri, Qiang...they has some other plans in their minds. Ugh..I should not think about that now. So to sum it all up, they will be observing me while I am out on the expedition and they are out to fix whatever the hell is wrong. I am curious about it...I cannot let my guards down." said Fedyenka in her mind. She did not make a sound. She talks a lot but only with herself.

"Oy how's your- woah when did you learn to do that?" said Yuri after suddenly entering the room.

Fedyenka mildly smiled at him while doing her work. Her energy flow got a little rushed when she smiled. She controlled it after struggling with a bit.

"Good. Keep up. You might need it while you are in the forest." said Yuri.

"I'll be in a forest? I'll camp?" said Fedyenka.

"Yes. I brought you some snacks. DO NOY STOP."

"Okay..."

"I will feed you. Keep your flow normal while I am feedin', or else you will ruin the food. Now say AAA"

"AAA"

Fedyenka's flow got abnormal the moment she took a bite. She struggled but in the end, she controlled it again. The ups and downs of her flow kept going on for five minutes.

"Why did it take you so long to feed me?" said Fedyenka.

"It's funny to see you struggling like that. He he." said Yuri.

"Curse you."

Yuri slapped on Fedyenka's face lightly, her flow got so much abnormal that it blasted on her hands. It injured Fedyenka.

"Damn...you do get injured a lot- woah you know how to heal?"

"I will not rely on this regeneration power much. It does not always work out right."

"Do what you please but what you just did was marvelous. Kristen is a good teacher."

"Probably better than you. You slack off most of the time."

"You damn brat."

Fedyenka fled from the hall. Yuri somehow rushed towards her and grabbed her.

"You are still slower than me. I am the third sage after all." said Yuri.

Fedyenka simply stared at him and blinked her eyes as if she does not care even a bit. Then out of the blue she said,

"It's cool to be such a high ranked person eh..."

"Yes it is. Now hurry up. Do it for ten minutes more and then go back to your room."

"Why? I have been practicing for only eight hours."

"Go back to your bed early tonight. Tomorrow you have to wake up early and leave before seven O'clock in the morning."

"Okay..."

Fedyenka went back to her bed. Her wild imaginations about outside gave her a picture perfect dream. She saw herself in a gown, walking in the middle of nowhere. The scenery was beautiful. There were birds and animals who. Maple leaves were falling on her. She remembered, that it is fall. After she woke up, she found out that there was only thirty minutes left before it's seven O'clock.
