Seido High Vs. Ugumori High.

Disclaimer: I'm trying to shorten and summarize the matches as much as possible so I can quickly reach the Finals.

"I can't believe Ugumori High beat Inashiro Industrial in the previous match".

"You should have been there. It was a sight to see Narumiya losing".

"Really!! I can't believe I missed the previous match. Sucks."

"I wonder how Inashiro feels about getting eliminated".

Rei grinned listening to the conversation as he arrived in the stadium to watch the match of Seido against Ugumori High.

"Wahhh…I didn't expect Inashiro to be eliminated by Ugumori High", said Sanada as he sat down.

"Well, I saw it coming", muttered Rei.

"Why?", asked Raichi.

"Since Inashiro players playing style is different. I mean they play individually and not as a team and since they were paired against Ugamori High who play together with the team. Simply, Inashiro met their perfect opponent", explained Rei.

"How do you know about Ugamori's Playstyle we didn't watch the previous match", said Raichi.

"HAHAHAHA…I overheard someone talking about it", said Rei laughing awkwardly. 'Why is he intelligent all of a sudden?', he thought.

"Hmmm…", said Raichi as he glared at Rei while eating his banana.

"Eya…how come you're eating a banana again", commented Sanada.

In Seido's Dugout.

"Umemiya, Ace of Ugumori", muttered Furuya.

"Oh yeah, what do you think of him Miyuki? He's the guy who hit off Narumiya", said Kuramochi.

"To be honest, I think their team just got lucky winning against Inashiro. Inashiro probably wasn't used to the changes to the team especially Narumiya since Harada left", said Miyuki.

"You think so too. Then this team will be easier to beat than Inashiro", said Kuramochi grinning.

"Let's see", said Miyuki.

In Ugumori's Dugout.

"Let's beat Seido just like we beat Inashiro".

"Seido's nothing compared to Inashiro".

'They have a lot of confidence after beating Inashiro. Though I hope they don't get careless during the game', thought Nao.

In the Field, after 10 minutes the game started.

Furuya was the starter.

During the 1st inning.

Daiki and Kouta came to bat and made it to the bases safely.

Umemiya hit a home run off of Furuya while they were 2 bases full.

The next 3 batters that came were struck out by Furuya.

After the change, Umemiya pitched and struck out all the batters of Seido using his curve.

During the 2nd inning.

Furuya was on fire and struck every batter out.

After the change, Umemiya pitched and struck out 2 batters while Miyuki hit a home run off of him.

During the 3rd inning.

In Ugumori's Dugout.

"It's not even funny anymore. Is he really a first-year? I think it's about time I use my other pitch", said Umemiya seeing Furuya strike each player out.

Back in the field.

Umemiya used his power curve to strike the next batter of Seido.

'Slider' thought Zono as he walked to the batter's box since his turn was next.

'I got this since Miyuki could do it, I have to keep up', thought Zono facing Umemiya.

Umemiya threw his power curve and Zono hit a home run.

In Seido's Dugout.

"Let's attack Ugamori fiercely now", said Miyuki.

"OOO", exclaimed the players.

The game continued with Umemiya and Furuya aggressively pitching. Though Furuya didn't have a home run hit off his pitch while Umemiya did continuously.

Seido's Cleanup hit Umemiya's pitches far each time.

As the game progressed, Umemiya was getting exhausted because he pitched the whole game yesterday against Inashiro.

Because of the exhaustion, Umemiya threw balls and Seido took advantage of it, increasing their score.

In The Audience.

"I think we have seen enough", said Rei getting up from his seat.

"Aren't you going to fully watch the match?", questioned Sanada.

"No need. I already know who's going to win so what's the point of watching this boring match", said Rei.

"Though it is boring, but we should get all of Seido's information before we leave", said Sanada.

"Don't worry. If they keep playing like this then they're definitely going to lose against us", said Rei grinning confidently.

'I wonder where that confidence comes from?', wondered Sanada as he followed Rei out of the stadium.

'I know all their weaknesses and habits. So how can they win against me in that situation? Sure, they might know my weaknesses as well, but they don't know how to turn that against me. Don't worry, Seido I will dominate you', thought Rei as he grinned devilishly. He couldn't wait to crush Kataoka's damn team.

Back to the match.

In the last three innings, Furuya showed his competence by striking each player out and Seido scored 2 more runs.

Umemiya pitched with all his might and yet he couldn't strike as many Seido players as he wanted. Ugumori's batting exploded at the end of the game. They scored 2 more runs.

Unfortunately, they didn't have as many runs as Seido and lost.

Seido High Vs. Ugumori High. 8-6.

Seido High Wins.

Ugumori players held their heads down and asked for forgiveness from Nao, that they couldn't fulfill the promise of getting him to the nationals.

"It's fine guys, you tried your best", said Nao bringing tears to the eyes of his teammates.

Their sadness overlapped with the loud noises Seido was making since they won the match and successfully made their way to the Quarterfinals.

"Lineup!! BOW!!", yelled the umpire.

Both teams bowed to each other in respect.

Seido Dorms, at night.

"Nabe doesn't want to be in the team anymore!!", said Zono shocked as soon as he heard the news.

"What do you guys think of his decision? I mean they're pros and cons to each side since they each make valid points", said Kuramochi.

In the Cafeteria.

"You're tired?", said Haruichi.

"EYA...EYA…not at all", said Sawamura.

"Well, you shouldn't be tired since you didn't go to the field today at all", said Haruichi.

Sawamura deflated as he received a critical hit. "How could you Haruichiiii!!".

"Well then are you going to go practice", asked Haruicchi.

Sawamura nodded aggressively.

"Alone?", asked Haruicchi.

"Of course, with master #2….", Sawamura turned gloomy as soon as he said this sentence.

"Master #2? Who?", asked Haruicchi.

"No-no one…", said Sawamura as he got up and walked out of the cafeteria leaving Haruicchi.

Meanwhile, Rei In the Yakushi Field.

"RUN…RUN…RUN!!", said Rei.

Sanada and all the players were going through training designed by Rei.

"Thi-s…is torture…", said Raichi panting.

"Raichi Run!!, you inflexible slugger", yelled Rei.

"Haii", said Raichi. As soon as he heard this he started dashing using more of his power.

'Why did that damn coach have to intervene', thought Sanada running along with the rest of his teammates.

A few hours ago, Yakushi Field.

"What are you guys going to do for preparation since a few days later our next match is against Sensen Academy", asked Rei.

"Nothing. Are we supposed to do something to prepare?", asked Sanada.

"Nani!!", exclaimed Rei.

'Waa, what an overreaction', thought Sanada.

'I'm overreacting because we are in the quarterfinals now and this team still has some weaknesses. For example, the other players, stamina and their defense skills suck', thought Rei worriedly.

"Do you really think we will be able to win if we go against other teams like this?", said Rei.

"What do you mean?", said Sanada.

"Honestly, the other players on the team's stamina suck and this whole team's defense skills need a lot of work", said Rei bluntly.

"Y-you're right?", said Sanada as he started realizing everything.

"I agree with Rei-Kun", said Raizou popping out of nowhere.

Rei smiled proudly hearing his coach agreeing with him.

"That being said, you'll help the team improve right?", said Raizou.

"W-what?", said Rei.

The next thing Rei knew he was training the team and doing Raizou's job.
