Underwater gate

After a good night of sleep and working out, naturally what comes next is training.

Both he and Ino were satisfied by the last night, but as a result, he had too much energy to spare and thus he considered going to a newer type of dungeon.

'Let's see if it's good,'

Today's choice of gates for Ren was an underwater one.

Underwater gates as the name implies, were gates that formed their fissure deep into a lake or ocean.

As one would expect, this limited the range of heroes that can take care of such gates, and in the past, if not for some heroes that loved the sea and used to sail on it, it wouldn't be possible to curb the threat of the monsters from creeping on the humans on the land.

'I heard some of those legendary heroes still exist to this day,'

Ren was aware of some of them due to the news, and he was even excited as he might be able to see some this time.

If he didn't that was also fine, since the main point was for his training.

At any rate, he had now reached the gate, and since his rank was quite high, he didn't even alert the HA of his presence.

He just chose the gate earlier, and he especially chose an SSS rank gate this time which was a torn for the heroes since it continued to spew out monsters as if it was an ant queen laying birth to them.

'Though those heroes exist, it seems the HA isn't as powerful as some other organizations in the ocean and underwater gates jurisdiction…'

Ren sighed as he thought about that.

His world was certainly different than what he knows, and it seemed like he would get a headache trying to make heads out of tails.

'Well, I don't care about this for now,'

Right now, he had more important things to do.

The more he familiarized himself with his powers, the more he was able to unlock new abilities.

It had happened a few times before now, and this time it was no different.

But it wasn't a transformation ability like his Beast of legend trait. Well, actually, it can count as transformation when thinking deeply about it.

But it was somewhat more special than that. Since it can be stacked atop his white tiger transformation.

At any rate, Ren right now was flying atop the ocean.

It wasn't very far for him considering his speed was huge, but even so, it did take him some ten minutes to reach the area.

The energy gates emitted was huge, and it was able to be noticed, and that was how Ren was able to do so.

Without waiting any longer, Ren dived into the ground. With the same membrane of earlier that he used with Sicily, enveloped him, and then he whooshed through the water diving under and under.

This way he could use the bubble surrounding him to only filter in oxygen, and thus he can breathe underwater easily.

*Fouish*

Not too long after, he reached the fissure in the water, and despite being an opening in the space, the water acted as if it wasn't there and didn't enter or exit.

Ren easily passed through it and what greeted his sight was another view as if he had entered a whole new dimension.

His form floated upward this time through the dark sea, and then he surfaced above a lake-like place that surrounded him all around, Ren's observation Haki picked up thousands of monsters ranging from S rank to the SSS rank.

When he floated above the water, it seemingly looked as if his clothes were not dampened by the water at all and he was no different than before.

Meanwhile, Ren's eyes observed the area and tried to intently observe the monsters.

He already knew their type o course as he had done his research.

He would never underestimate a gate or anything in general.

Even though publicly SSS rank gates were known to not adhere to the rule that the boss of such a gate won't have an advanced rank than it, Ren knew that to be slightly false.

The more correct thing to say, was the chance was minuscule, but never zero.

The monsters he observed were aquatic as expected.

But unlike what one would expect, they were quadruped with four legs except they had fins on their body.

They were similar to wolves as they had teeth in their mouth, and Ren could spot that they had gills that enabled them to breathe underwater.

Of course, they weren't the only types of monsters there.

This dungeon was like an entire echo system except they all were adapted to the aquatic atmosphere.

Ren grinned as he noticed their levels.

'These guys can be good punching bags,'

But for now, he refrained from doing anything and just floated there in the sky.

He kept thinking for a while, and finally, after deliberating quite some time, he decided to first test the new transformation he had gotten.

Then mana surged in his body and Ren suddenly turned blue in color.

He had used his newest skill gained from the Three tails Isobu.

It was the ability to turn into water like that Suigetsu guy from the Naruto anime.

Ren felt his body become light, which was natural, but as he tried to move his arms the movements were natural.

But when he tried to touch a tree branch that was nearby his hand passed through it.

It was awesome.

"It's as if I'm a Logia like those devil fruit eaters,"

Ren was thrilled as he kept floating around and doing various techniques, and trying to do anything that came across his mind while in this state.

But beyond that, it wasn't like he failed to see the applications of this, as he could see that it would be hard for others to attack him now if he entered this state.

Next, he transformed into his white tiger skill, and seemingly his white tiger form was slightly blue.

As he expected earlier, it seemed like he indeed can combine the two together and use both abilities at the same time.

Ren's form flashed to a nearby monster.

The monster upon noticing him gathered water in its mouth and then shot a jet stream of pressurized water at him, but Ren casually stood in place and let it pass through his body.

The hole that opened up closed just as fast, and Ren remained without any harm.

Mind you, this was an SS rank monster.

The monster's eye widened as it saw its attack was useless and it tried to repeat it by shooting another jet of water, but Ren's hand suddenly had a sword that looked to also be made of water like the rest of his body.

And then when this sword was about to touch the monster, Ren's whole right arm and the sword turned tangible and cut the throat of the monster.

The jet of water passed through Ren's chest and did no damage as expected since only his weapon and arm were tangible.

"It seems like I can focus this on some parts of my body only,"

He was happy with the findings so far.

As he did so, the monster feel dead, its last attack missing, and it ended up being useless to the end despite its relatively high rank.

'The sooner I finish the better so that I can prepare for today's date later, but I will not underestimate this and go as fast as possible' That way he might overlook things, and as was mentioned earlier, this was an SSS rank gate that had a tiny chance to produce a higher ranked boss monster than the SSS rank.

And while Ren was sure he could at least run from such an existence, it seemed like he would suffer some losses.

'It's not yet the time to fight such existences…'

Ren's eyes glittered with determination as he was far less satiated with the SSS rank.

It didn't matter to him that others would mention that he was still young or that he had achieved such a rank so soon.

If something happened and someone stronger than SSS rank attacked him, can he ask that guy to wait for him to get stronger first? Or can he cry justice and call for a time-out as the other guy is higher ranked?

Ren had to be strong so that when the time comes, he'll just kick that guy's ass to oblivion rather than watch people close to him get hurt.
