Ren didn't continue training after seeing this.

Instead what he did was just take a shower and head out of the gym.

'I'll have to make a new plan for training anyway' He thought to himself.

Right now, he was on the way back to his home, just a bit before lunchtime.

A bit before when he usually got out since he had this unexpected rank-up situation.

Right about this time, Auntie Isaki should have gone to bring little Rina from the daycare.

Rina was about four years old, and there were still a few years for her to attend primary school.

Ren was strolling on the sidewalk deep in his own thoughts.

He needed some time to change his training schedule and plans.

The regular training he was doing until now won't be even remotely enough for him now to reach rank A.

That was a whole different league in strength.

He also needed some time to adjust to his new strength.

Unlike his magic and speed, which had reached rank B earlier.

His magic was very rapidly leveling up, and it had been C rank just three weeks ago, but it had become B rank like his other stats.

There was that question of why it was rapidly improving but…

Skyscrapers filled his vision.

And the feeling he had at this moment was that he can bring them down if he tried his all.

'I can't test that however' He shook his head with a small smile.

Among the superheroes, there was a consensus about the ranks.

It didn't apply 100%, but it was enough for them.

D rank: Are those of them who can destroy walls, can make a crater in the ground, or beat monsters with similar durability to a concrete wall or a steel plate.

C rank: The C ranked can actually destroy small buildings such as a house, and the best among them can even destroy a medium building like a five-story structure.

B rank: This rank, the one Ren had reached, as he had said earlier it can bring down even a building categorized as a skyscraper. That was how monstrous a B rank strength was.

Of course, not all B ranks can do such a feat with just brute force and may have to rely on their traits.

For example, a superhero can launch a giant flaming ball that would destroy everything.

As for the A rank… it felt quite impossible for Ren right now.

Just imagining it was quite ridiculous so he didn't want to think about it until he was close to reaching it at the least.

'Anyway, for now, since I'm quite early than usual, let's buy some stuff to help auntie Isaki' He reached a decision and continued on his way.

There was a cake shop on the way, and he decided to buy a few with him.

But then all of a sudden, the closer Ren started getting to his house, the more frantic the people became.

He saw that they were running around in groups under the lead of policemen, and even a few low-ranked heroes.

He hurried his steps as he suddenly had a bad feeling.

'What the hell is going on?'

He didn't understand what was happening, but people were heading off running from where he was heading.

So, something must have happened.

And for people to be so frantic, it had to have something to do with monsters.

A gate must have opened up nearby his house.

Robin did say that gates had been opening randomly and in large numbers.

Ren felt a bad premonition and grabbed a guy that was running while on the phone and questioned him.

"Hey, what happened why is everyone running?" Ren asked.

His tone may have come out unnecessarily forceful.

The guy tried shaking Ren off him, but he couldn't.

"H-hey let go! Ah, are you perhaps a hero?" The guy asked, and his hostile tone changed as his form relaxed just a bit.

Ren nodded just for the sake of getting the answers as quickly as possible.

He also let go of the guy, since he was a bit rough with him earlier.

"A gate had opened nearby the station, I don't know the details, but we were told to evacuate for now," The guy answered him before he bid goodbye and continued running. He resumed his call.

"Sorry, a weird hero asked me a question. Ah yes, I'm evacuating to... Yes, I'll see you there…"

Ren ignored the guy and started to run.

'Near the station…'

That wasn't very close to their building.

But… it was very close to where little Rina was. The daycare center.

Thankfully his apartment building wasn't that far.

And he soon reached nearby his house.

He didn't stop for a second, and ran straight to his aunt's apartment and knocked.

*Knock, knock*

After a bit, there was still no response.

"Shit" He cursed.

So, Isaki must have gone to bring her daughter already.

Ren then hurried to his apartment, entered the bedroom and grabbed a long case that was made from durable cloth from under the bed, strapped it over his shoulder, and then went back outside the apartment.

'I have to go.'

He didn't trust anyone in this world apart from Robin and his aunt, so he would go make sure they were safe on his own.

He didn't know what rank the gate was, but his legs didn't stop for even a second as he headed to where little Rina must be.

He ran through the streets, and just after two blocks, the number of heroes increased.

And sounds of explosions rang.

And Ren laid eyes first hand to a few monsters running his way.

They appeared to be some type of feline monster similar to a wolf with jagged fur almost looking like metal spikes near the neck and end of legs.

Their mouth had very sharp teeth, and their form was very lanky as if they were starved as shown by their ribs being visible.

But their size was big, almost like a lion in size.

*Sha, Sha*

Acid that penetrated the ground dripped from in between their teeth.

Their glowing red eyes locked onto Ren, before they started running towards him.

This time, it wasn't seeing them in a video, but in real life.

But Ren didn't get stunned or anything.

Apart from his eyes widening a bit, his right hand tightened around the object he held and was about to open it and dash at the monsters.

'I can feel it… these monsters are weak'

But before he could do so, someone called.

"Hey, kid, what the hell are you doing just standing there?"

It was a superhero.

A bulky-looking guy reaching 1.80cm.

He was wearing a dark grey combat suit with metal plates for defense with a helmet over his head, and two earthen shields on his hands.

They appeared to be fixed on top of his wrists.

"Run quickly"

Ren knew this guy.

He was that guy he had seen some videos about earlier. Greatwall. A B-ranked superhero.

He was a superhero who could create and manipulate various objects made from earth, sand, or soil and dirt.

He couldn't create the material, however, only manipulate it.

But thankfully, every place had earth, even if it was hidden under the concrete.

And he could bring it out.

Ren watched as Greatwall created sharp spikes on the end of his shield and then swung his hand, throwing the shield at one of the monsters.

The shield spun through the air and hit a monster, cutting its head straight away.

Greatwall then recalled that shield and once it lodged on his wrist once again and the spikes were retracted, he punched the ground with both hands after joining them, and right from under the monsters, earthen spikes formed and expanded to puncture through them.

The threat was neutralized just like that.

Ren can guess that those monsters were around C rank.

'That's a B rank for you' Ren mentally nodded to himself.

*Fuah*

Greatwall surveilled the area for a bit before he yelled at Ren.

"Kid? Are you deaf? this isn't the time to play around, hurry up and evacuate!"

Ren nodded at the guy since he didn't want to expose himself that he was here to rescue his aunt and little sister, otherwise, they would detain him for trying to use his power in public when he wasn't yet a hero.

He turned and ran. For now.

Greatwall finally sighed and pressed the communication device on his ear.

"Where is the next one?" He asked.

Meanwhile, Ren turned around a building and then stopped.

He pulled his hood up, and then was determined and ready.

He tightened the grip on the cloth he held.

'Since a B rank is here fighting, then the gate must not be ranked very high…'

He was a stubborn guy so while he saw that the heroes were handling the situation well, he just didn't want to leave the faith of his family to luck and sit at home waiting If he can do something about it on his own.

He was also kind of anticipating fighting with the monsters and destroying them.

'Let's go!'

He would be the one to save his family.
