Chapter 14 - Koike's Battle
The aftermath of Team A and Team D's battle was strange. The heroes won the war but lost the battle. They may have won but if this was a real battle they would have failed. I didn't know how to feel about it. Tokoyami said exactly what I said. Lost the battle, but won the war.
We waited a few minutes before All Might continued the lesson. Everyone was back besides Midoriya. I promised myself to visit him after class. But the other 3 stood lined up against the wall. Tenya took off his helmet. Bakugo stood there angry, and Uraraka just looked disappointed. But they would have the most memorable battle.
"Well, despite the results. the MVP of this exercise is Young Iida!" Tenya looked surprised and the other 2 didn't even seem phased, they were so out of it.
Tsuyu asked, "Shouldn't it be one of the heroes instead, since they're the winner?" All Might laughed.
"Mm! Valid question! Why didn't I choose one of those two? Who has a guess?" All Might raised his hand to simulate what we should do. I knew the answer, no way was I answering it.
Momo quickly raised her hand. "Sir, I can tell you why!" All Might called on her, "Iida embraced this challenge. He was the only one who adapted to his assigned role. I'll explain. Bakugo's judgment was clouded by a personal grudge against Midoriya. As you pointed out earlier, launching a large-scale attack indoors was a foolish move. It could have been disastrous."
Momo kept her hand up as she continued, "Similarly, Midoriya's plan was also poorly thought out, considering the amount of damage that he received. He rendered himself helpless. Not smart. As for Uraraka... she let her guard down mid-battle and her final attack was far too reckless given the hypothetical stakes."
Momo finally lowered her hand down to her side. "If she'd treated the fake weapon as though it were real, she never would've risked using such an imprecise move. Iida was fully prepared for his opponent's arrival. He had a strategy and never lost sight of his mission to protect the dummy weapon. Even if he was foiled in the end."
Tenya looked happy to receive such praise. He got a cheeky smile and had a slight blush. The other two looked even more defeated than before, I honestly felt bad. Even for Bakugo...
Momo looked straight at All Might finishing her answer, "Technically, the hero team won, yes, but they took advantage of the fact that this was training. They didn't respect the spirit of the trial."
Everyone was looking at Momo as if she just said she murdered someone. The room was dead silent until All Might broke it, "Yes... well, you overlooked a few things. Young Iida could have relaxed a little bit in the exercise, but... otherwise, you nailed it!" All Might gave her a thumbs up.
I felt drained after hearing a big lecture from Momo. Momo then went on about how studying and paying attention was the best way to become a hero. I just nodded tiredly. I still have a round to do.
All might then moved on, he brought back the boxes one labeled Villain and the other Hero. The villain one was black with white words, and the hero one was white with black words.
He put his hands in the box and pulled out the next group.

We moved over to Battle Building B since A was completely destroyed. The next groups up were Team B the heroes, and Team I the villains.
Shoto Todoroki & Mezo Shoji (Heroes)
Mashirao Ojiro & Toru Hagakure (Villains)
But I never realized half and half had a name. He seemed quiet but also talkative. His name was Todoroki.
The battle went by quickly with Todoroki freezing the entire building. Ojiro and Hagakure who were prepared didn't see the ice coming. It was over quickly but Todoroki looked kinda badass as he walked past them frozen in ice.

The next battle to happen was Team H the heroes and Team J the villains.
Fumikage Tokoyami & Tsuyu Asui (Heroes)
Eijiro Kirishima & Hanta Sero (Villains.)
I never got to see what happened, I was using the bathroom for a bit. I wish I knew who won but it was impossible to know. No one was telling me.

The second to last battle was between Team G the heroes, and Team C the villains.
Denki Kaminari & Kyoka Jiro (Heroes)
Momo Yaoyorozu & Minoru Mineta (Villains.)
I was gone when this happened and returned when they got back. Momo seemed a little bummed but it was probably because she was with the pervert. He was short, and kind of cute.

But finally, it was my turn with Koda. All Might selected Team E and finally Team F. I looked over at Koda and I lost all hope of winning. Not only was he shaking in his boots but so was I!
Yuga Aoyama & Mina Ashida (Heroes)
Koike & Koji Koda (Villains)
I watched our ball get picked to be villains. I wanted to die, we were against the two most confident people in this class. They were also the most outgoing, then there was Koda and I, two shy people who can barely speak, not sure if Koda can speak though.
Koda followed behind me as we walked up the stairs. Walking up to the 4th floor felt like forever. I could already hear everyone talking about our group. Two quiet people who you don't even know if they have quirks.
Once we made it to the top I looked back at Koda, for some reason, I felt comfortable around him. "So, do you have a plan?" He looked a little shocked for a moment, but before long he shook his head. I let out a small sigh.
I leaned against the wall closing my eyes, and activated my quirk. Closing my eyes helps me concentrate, it also looks more subtle.
Mina and Aoyama were to climb up the stairs in 3 minutes. They work together but also don't. Mina is confident but Aoyama is like Bakugo. Prideful, but can't stand up for himself. I opened my eyes.
I then stood up walking towards the door. "Koda, I'll be back in a few minutes. I'll try to be quick!" He nodded at me, shaking even more now, causing me to give him an awkward smile.
I walked out of the room closing the door behind me. I walked down the stairs, using my precognition in reverse. After 1:30 seconds I heard them. I turned my head and saw a little bit of a sparkle. My heart skipped a beat for a moment.
I activated my quirk keeping my quirk 2 seconds ahead. The second Aoyama turned the corner I jumped at him. I grabbed his cape and when I did Mina threw her acid at me. I quickly dodged it, slipping on Aoyama's cape slipping and landing on my butt. Mina ran up to me, she had a determined look in her eyes.
I slid as far as I could, only 2 or so feet, avoiding Mina. I stumbled up and Aoyama and Mina split up. Mina took me on, and I felt a repeat of Midoriya and Bakugo's fight.
Remembering this I quickly wanted to give up and while lost in thought I deactivated my quirk. Mina stumbled up to me grabbed my wrists and tied me up in the capture tape.
She accidentally let go of me and I slipped on her acid. I landed on my head and instantly blacked out. I couldn't catch myself from Mina tying my wrists and ankles.

I slowly woke in the nurse's office, about to say something but saw Midoriya lying on the bed beside mine. I stared at him for a few more minutes but shifted my gaze away quickly.
I moved to the edge of the bed, sitting on the edge.
I stood up slowly, my head pounding. I pressed my fingers to my head and there was a bandage on. I lifted my palm and placed it firmly on the wrapping. Pressing as hard as my body would let me, the pain faded away. This was my quirk, Rapid Healing.
I walked over to Midoriya and looked down at him. moving my palm to his arm. His body flinched, and he quickly woke up.
He was slightly surprised but too tired to do anything. "Sorry..." I mumbled. I activated my quirk and I quickly felt tired. Moving my hand away most of the wounds were healed.
He looked at his arm, smiling softly, "Is this... your quirk?" My eyes widened.

Final Notes-
I brought back the tab. It looks nicer. So that's all for now. I'm half way through season 1 now. I've been a bit busy but we chillin'!
