A random pokemon journey

Alexander was a fairly normal guy on earth or at least he hoped so. Somehow though he had gone his entire life without playing a single pokemon game or watching any of the anime. That changed when his friends kept pestering him about it and he finally gave in and purchased a few of the games that came highly recommended such as emerald , fire red , platinum and heart gold. He also bought a cheap ds lite to play all of them when he was off work. Unfortunately he was struck by lightning the moment he finished the last of them and died. He ended up awakening in a small cave at the foot of a mountain forest and learned he had a system to help him in this new and very dangerous world. AUTHOR Note------- This story will only be taking place in the world before the fairy type came out so only those regions exist in this version of the pokemon world. There will also be casual smut and maybe possibly an actual romantic option but I haven't decided yet , also no harems. I would like to add that everything with the system is RNG based so I have no control over it.

Possible retaliation

Just imagine the thousands of grass type pokemon that work under a trainer at various power level and then suddenly add a move that turns them from almost pure offense to support and offense. Tag team battles also suddenly got a whole hell of a lot more complicated as well since now whenever a grass type went out on the field with another pokemon there will always be doubt of whether or not it serves as a healer. Subverting centuries of what was considered standard knowledge is going to create a fuckton of problems as the world adapts to the new knowledge.-

"It's not all bad news though as if I create TMs of this new move I can make a heavy profit selling them since only I will have them." I said and Birch paused for a moment clearly thinking about it. "Ha~ Well you aren't wrong but I suggest you talk to Mr. Stone about it first as despite being on the list many parties will want you dead the moment you are revealed as the source of this new move." He said seriously. "The only ones I can think of would be the criminals unless the Joy clan can't accept that someone else made a breakthrough in healing." I said confused.-

Criminal organizations were one thing I wasn't worried about all that much since I was rapidly growing to the point where I could stand up to the strongest they had. At this exact moment my team was halfway between fifth and sixth badge level if all of them were considered. By rights I was nearly considered an ace level trainer which didn't just grow on trees. Unless I was wrong even Archie and Maxie , the leaders of team magma and aqua were only elite four level trainers themselves. -

The admins under them were likely high end ace trainers so unless they stepped in soon I would in the next month or two become nearly impossible to kill. The Joy clan on the other hand was an entirely different matter as while they were based in medical work that didn't mean that the clan didn't have a lot of powerful trainers in their ranks. In fact I knew better than most that it was thanks to their understanding of pokemon anatomy and limitations that the clan was likely the most powerful group on the planet since they could use their knowledge and resources to train pokemon to their limits safely.-

It wouldn't even surprise me if they had more than one champion tier trainer in their ranks PER region and a lot of elites and ace trainers besides that. It was a bit like how on earth athletes like boxers and runners had doctors that micromanaged their diets , exercise and various other factors to train the athlete up to the peak of normal human limits. Apply that same logic to a clan richer than god and with thousands of members and you can understand the horrible power they likely held but never used.-

"While the criminals would indeed come after you for this as it undermines some of their efforts I was not referring to those. No what I mean is alchemists and a few parties that they are backed by. Grass type pokemon are so common that there is no way to realistically restrict them from learning this move and by extension heavily lowering the value of potions that heal. Obviously potions will never become obsolete but they will be moved down drastically in terms of price as fewer and fewer people will really need them."-

"In other words this one move will cut into these peoples profits and they may decide to retaliate against you as a result." Birch explained seriously. I hadn't actually considered this aspect of things but I couldn't deny that selfish and greedy people that earned a lot of money from potion sales would probably be quite unhappy with the results of this new move getting released to the public. Humans have historically done really fucked up things on earth for the sole purpose of earning and protecting their profits and not in isolated cases either but as a whole race.-

The existence of pokemon as a factor was the only reason that this world hadn't ended up nearly identically as humans here were no different than on earth save a few differences such as the presence of abilities , most of which were violent in nature by the way. "That sounds like a pain to deal with." I said honestly. "You still don't sound very concerned about it so I assume you have something in mind?" he asked curiously. "I do indeed have an idea but it will take some serious work to pull off and you'll need to get the Joys involved." I said honestly.-

"I'm in what the plan Alex?" he asked without hesitation. "First I need to get a few TMs made of the new move , then I need them given to both Gardenia and Erika alongside any other influential grass type trainers. The trick here is that I need all these people to simultaneously reveal the move while I keep my own use of it a secret. This will make anyone wanting retaliation have to go through the effort of trying to figure out the true source of the move while the Joy clan will be integrating it into their own ranks until the move itself is publicly found everywhere."

"If we do this right then only you , me and maybe a small handful of people will know that I was the source of the move which should buy me enough time to grow strong enough to deter anyone from trying any funny business." I explain the plan seriously. Birch goes silent for a few minutes as he worked his way through the plan before speaking up again. "International shipping is heavily restricted and it will be clear that it came from Hoenn if we go through the normal channels to ship these TMs out." He pointed out.-

"That is the part where Mr. Stone comes in as no businessman as successful as him doesn't have at least one or two smugglers in their back pocket. He uses those properly and no one will know the TMs origin , especially if he uses Orre as an intermediate stop on the route as the labeled source." I said with a smirk. "Using Orre is a bit risky with how crime infested the place is but it would indeed throw off any chance of the TMs origin being discovered as few have informants there since it is not worth keeping an eye on." Birch muttered and I knew he was sold on the plan.-

We both agreed to start the plan after my challenge with Watson but I had to speak with Mr. Stone about it before hand. That particular conversation was rather heated as I told him off for sharing my secret with Watson which he was apologetic for but at least had good intentions for doing. Apparently while Watson is not a businessman like Mr. Stone the jolly old man has a monstrous perception in terms of personalities and would have definitely figured me out at a glance. By telling him beforehand Mr. Stone helped me keep it under wraps since Watson would have likely blurted it out during the battle if he hadn't been told to keep it secret beforehand.
