Quirk apprehension test.

「Author here, I regret not putting the quirk apprehension test in the last chapter. This chapter might seem boring so I'm sorry for that.」

"Welcome to the hero course."

Bakugo Katsuki had just thrown a softball pitch 700 metres away. It was quite impressive, to be honest. A few students complained about having a test on the first day but that didn't really matter.

The student who finished last, however, was going to be expelled. I didn't really care about that. I wasn't going to finish last. I don't know these people enough to care if anyone else gets expelled.

The first test was a 100-metre sprint.

I was up against a bird. No he had human skin so he wasn't a bird. Bird-human? He looked really cool though.

This kind of test wasn't really fair when you're against me.

"On your mark, Get set, GO!" Said the squeaky voice of the robot.

Once the word go was said I was already at the finish line. "0.01 seconds." Said the voice of the robot.

I looked back and saw that the birdman had used some sort of shadow that comes out of his body to propel himself forward.

"4.54 seconds."

"It seems fate had given me a bad hand in putting me up against you."

"Yeah, I guess." This birdman was certainly odd.

The rest of the class watched as I beat the test with not much effort.

'There's someone even faster than me? As expected of U.A high.' Iida was thinking.

'What an amazing quirk! I'll have to do better If I want to beat the likes of him.' A certain green-haired student thought.

'Tch He's just a small fry side character. His quirk is nothing compared to mine.'

The second test was a grip test.

Nothing special about this test. You had to use your quirk to try and get the highest possible score. It was clear to see out of the class who'd the best on that.

I squeezed as hard as I could and finally let go. I looked at the score and it was decent. 60 kilograms. Not bad.

I looked across me and saw that the girl next to me had gotten 25 kilograms.

"It's horrible, isn't it? Physical strength isn't where I excel at." She had quite a dull voice which actually made me listen more.

"You can't be good at everything can you?"

"Easy for you to say. You're doing this with your eyes closed." She laughed.

"No no. I can see perfectly. I just have to wear this." I explained.

Before Jirou could ask how it worked the third event began.

----------------------------------

The last 2 tests were boring. A long jump where I could use my quirk so I used it to get to the other side and the repeated side steps weren't hard at all.

The ball throwing test looked the most fun.

"Toshiaki Yasuhiro please step forward." I stepped forward and took the ball off the ground.

I threw the ball up in the air and it disappeared. Simple as that.

Aizawa looked at his tracker and showed it to the rest of the class.

"The hero course doesn't accept anything but the best. For the next three years, I want you to try your best and pass through all your limits. Nothing but the best will be allowed. If I see even a hint of slacking off I will not hesitate to expel you."

"4.6 miles."

The class was in shock. He threw it that far and It didn't look he was even trying.

'All my life I was using my quirk wrong. I was using it like an extension of my father's quirk and only using it on my body. I could teleport anything that was in my hand. There was a certain weight limit but I could get around that.'

I walked back over to my spot and ignored all the looks on my body.

"Izuku Midoriya please step up."

I was interested in seeing this. He was the one who destroyed the 0 pointer so he would do really well right?

He went for his first throw however it didn't go very far. I felt disappointed in what I saw.

"I erased your quirk." Aizawa senseis hair was standing upwards and his eyes were glowing red. "The entrance exam wasn't rational enough if someone like you managed to get in."

He was right. People like Shinso were turned away and people with physical quirks thrived in that exam.

"Those goggles. You're the Erasure hero: Eraser head!" Izuku exclaimed.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone. I turned around and looked at him. It was all might. What was he doing here? He was clearly watching Midoriya.

I turned back around and saw Midoriya and Aizawa saying something to each other that no one could hear.

Midoriya walked back up and picked up the softball. He stood for a few seconds, probably monologuing to himself.

He finally worked up the courage and he finally began to throw. However this time he focused all his energy on the tip of his finger and threw it.

"Sensei I can still go!"

'This Kid.' Aizawa thought. Maybe he did have potential.

Interesting. He wasn't as good as I thought if he broke his finger each time he used it.

'What the hell? This goddamn Deku has been lying to me this entire time!."

Bakugo used his explosions to propel over to Izuku but was easily stopped by Aizawa.

"What is this?" Bakugo grit through his teeth.

"It's a capture weapon made of carbon fibre woven together with metal wire made of a special alloy. You're wasting our time. Whoever's next please go."

-------------------------

The trials finally came to an end.

"I'll show you all your results. It's all sum of your scores of each test added up. It's hard to explain but I'll show you instead. The person who was last will be expelled.

The scores came up and I looked at my name.

I finished first. Maybe I should've done a bit less on some of the tests.

"Well done, Toshiaki. You finished first." I heard Momo say from behind me.

"You did quite well yourself Yaoyorozu." Second place was a respectable position.

'4th place. I couldn't even hit the top 3? That Ice bastard and disappearing bastard are better than me.' Bakugo clenched his fists as the realisation hit him.

"Also what I said about finishing last was a lie. It was a ruse to get you to do better." Aizawa said.

I heard the shocked scream of Izuku across the side of the field.

"With that, we're done. The curriculum handouts are in the class so look over them once you get them." He announced

"Yes sir!"

Here have a second chapter.
