The citadel is already built and is located at the same coordinates as my divine planet, only that it is built in the mortal dimension.
The next plan is to search for students with potential.
Some might wonder if it wouldn't be wiser to first find a population to make use of the citadel's facilities, but I've waited too long to have patience for something so small. If worse comes to worst, I'll create clones or something like that.
Originally, I had planned to leave this multiverse with company, to ensure my safe return or something like that, but I don't see anyone suitable to serve as a bodyguard. The gods and angels are busy with their duties, even if that means sleeping 24 hours a day. And I'm not looking for trouble, so I went through the portal.
My first target... low-level planets. That's quite difficult to judge, really, as most anime play with power levels lower than those of Dragon Ball.
After crossing the multicolored portal with its classic viscous sound, I find myself in an ancient Japanese-style city, with its typical wooden houses and characteristic temples. But this city isn't just boring like that, no, it also has modern buildings and various contemporary shops.
"This is Edo..."
Rick looks around, his scanner detects data from the entire city and summarizes it in front of him.
"My target here should be to recruit these three people..."
As he speaks, he looks at the scribbles drawn on the paper.
"Heh...!" Doing things like this adds flavor to life. With my abilities, I should be able to perfectly draw the portrait in my head, but having this isn't bad.
That's right, they are Gintoki Sakata, Shinpachi Shimura, and Kagura.
The main protagonist of this world is a samurai swordsman who runs the "Yorozuya" business, which takes on any job for money. Gintoki is known for his lazy, sarcastic, and irreverent personality, but he also has a strong sense of justice and is always willing to help those in need. Despite his serious past as the "White Demon," Gintoki prefers to live a quiet life, making him very suitable for the development of the citadel. Perhaps he can open his business in my universe when he graduates from the school. He's a bit older, but I'm lenient with age.
Shinpachi Shimura is a young student who joins Yorozuya as an apprentice. Shinpachi is serious, hardworking, and has a strong sense of morality. He is a valuable member of the team thanks to his intelligence and ability to follow rules. I'll invite him because he comes with Gintoki, so he won't feel alone. Maybe when he fully unleashes his potential, he could appear on the scene saying something like "I did it all for the citadel! Rick, you'll regret it!"
Kagura, on the other hand, is an alien from the Yato planet. Her race is also well known in this universe, and perhaps I can create a race from her genes. I don't want to relocate her entire population, maybe they'll do something like a democratic vote or invade other planets upon arrival. She is often seen with her bazooka umbrella and her big, strong dog, Sadaharu. Kagura can bring the dog and the umbrella; I don't think they would abandon the animal, and my school doesn't have anyone with allergies yet.
....
At the Yorozuya, Gintoki is taking a nap on the porch of his house, enjoying the sunny day, while Shinpachi and Kagura are working on their tasks.
Suddenly, an explosion shakes the building.
Gintoki wakes up startled, "What the hell was that?"
"I don't know, but I think it came from the back alley," Shinpachi says, approaching with the broom.
"Let's go see what happened!" Seizing the opportunity to delay her chores, Kagura shouts from the kitchen.
The three of them run to the back alley.
In the alley, a group of bandits is attacking a civilian.
"Hand over your money!" The tough guy among the aggressors clearly threatens.
"I don't have anything! Please, don't hurt me!" The poor victim, a man with rat-like teeth and a bald head, leans against the wall, looking around as if seeking an escape. His hands cover his chest like a little girl.
Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura arrive at the alley and see what's happening.
"Hey, you guys! Leave this poor man alone! That's sexual harassment!" Gintoki, looking at the man's poor situation, decides to act.
"And who are you? Don't meddle in our business!" The tough guy's younger brothers use intimidation tactics.
Feeling the attention of those present, Gintoki seizes the opportunity to show off and promote his shop. The first thing he does is naturally point his sword at the thugs.
"I'm Gintoki Sakata, from Yorozuya. And I won't allow you to bother the innocent!" The glow in his eyes with the confident and arrogant smile gives him the aura of a protagonist he needs for his publicity.
Gintoki draws his wooden sword and begins to fight the bandits. At the same time, Shinpachi and Kagura also join the battle, with a broom and an umbrella, respectively.
After a brief but intense battle, Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura defeat the bandits.
"That's it! Now get out of here before I give you an even worse beating!" Gintoki proclaims, crossing his arms to appear like a Taoist master.
The bandits flee the alley with their tails between their legs.
Gintoki approaches the rat-man and asks if he's okay.
"Yes, thanks to you. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't come." Relaxed, the man prepares to leave.
"You're welcome. That's what we do at Yorozuya, help those in need. But..." Gintoki puts an arm around the man's shoulder.
As if by magic, Shinpachi and Kagura also grab him from the sides.
"W-what's happening? You're a hero! You're my hero! You're all my heroes, don't hurt me!"
Gintoki smiles at the man's flattery. "I'm glad I could help you. You know... a poor savior like me is also short on money. I kindly ask you to be my hero too and give me a little bit of money," Gintoki massages the man's shoulders flatteringly as he finishes explaining his needs.
Back at the Yorozuya, Kagura can't help but exclaim, "Well, that was fun. It was about time for some action!"
"Yes, but it was dangerous. Fortunately, you were able to defeat those bandits," Shinpachi smiled in satisfaction.
*"That was great! You know-"*
Gintoki sits on the porch and goes back to his nap. Everything else loses its meaning before achieving sleep. The words of his companions are just *Blah blah blah blah blah.*
On the TV, a piece of paper with three scribbles is clearly visible.
And a young man with blue hair is causing trouble in the square.
