I am your mother!

But he didn't react this time. He just stared at the woman standing in front of him. Her face was devoid of any expression but her eyes were restless. The woman was beautiful no doubt, but the most stroking feature on her face was her eyes. He was deeply attracted to them. Others thought that her mother was cold and aloof, since not much of the emotions could be seen on her face. Most of the time her expression was calm and placid. But he didn't think so. He thought her mother was a very lively person behind that calm facade, because her eyes gives away all the thoughts and emotions she felt. They were very beautiful, so much that it was like that was the only thing he could see, just like this moment.

But at this moment it looked fake to him The emotions behind them looked artificial to him. He only had one thought, that she is a very good actress. An actress too plentiful of acting talent. Her skills and talents were going to waste if she remained a diplomat, oh no they were very much in use in this profession of hers.

His expression changed and gave her a smile so bright that club lit up with his just one smile. But the words were darkest she had heard.

"Don't block stranger's view, Sister, not everybody likes a beauty."

Her calm and placid expression fell apart. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. No words, no sounds. She after a long time could only speak. Unbeknowest to her, a man had rushed behind her, who also heard her words.

"I am your mother, not sister."

He stopped the moment he heard those words but the teenage didn't give much thought after listening to her words. He said in reply,"Have you done anything apart from giving me birth to be called mother? But do not worry, I'll take care of you in a few years to repay your only deed as a mother. Of course in return don't call yourself my mother."

"Anuvrat!", shouted the man behind her in loud voice. The people all turned to them. "Is this how you should behave with your mother?!"

The teenage hadn't noticed him since his only attention was on the woman. He stood up and looked at the man. He could tell that man was very angry. He had never shouted at him, never shown rage in front of him but at this moment his face was cold and red. The protruding veins on side of his forehead showed his rage. Though he was afraid, he only acknowledged his father but didn't speak any apology.

"Papa."

He had no intention to take back his words. He didn't find himself in the wrong at all. The woman was wrong, her ways were wrong, her priorities were wrong, in fact her whole existence was wrong.

The woman had calmed down in these few seconds, she pressed on the back of man's hand and turned to the teenage child.

Niharika remembered that memory when she saw the current scene in front of her.
