" Sorry, Mommy and Daddy. Sorry, Brother! Sorry that I am leaving... "
Standing in front of a villa at the dawn, the depressed woman stood with her eyes closed as she said these words to her family in her heart.
" I will never come back and I will never marry for what I did! " she swore in her heart as she left her home forever. She said that because she had a huge quarrel with her family because she rejected the engagement. She just hated men and couldn't like them at all.
Not looking back at once, she left in the darkness of the dawn with only a short letter left behind. A letter her family was never able to understand. A letter becomes the blade that cut their strings. A letter that separated her from her family for a long time.
" Sorry Mummy And Daddy! Sorry, Mike! I Am Leaving And Never Coming Back! Sorry For My Selfish Decision... Sorry For Being Such A bad Person. I Don't Deserve To Be Your Daughter... So Please Don't Try To Find Me! I Am Not Doing This Because Of The Engagement. It Is Because There Is Something Wrong With Me. Mamma, I Really Love You! I Am Sorry. Please Forget Your Unfilial Daughter. You Deserved A Better One...
FAREWELL MUMMY, DADDY AND MIKE...
-Victoria. "
After that, she was trying hard to do what she wanted to do. Going here and there, looking at all the injustice of the world, looking at that useless delayed justice, she found it hard to find what to do to stop this horrible feeling of worthlessness.
There was a famous proverb regarding justice. It was " A Justice delayed is a Justice denied!" But she felt really sad when she thinks about how there is no justice for women at all as most of the cases go unnoticed.
After a lot of things, 5 years went by as quickly as they could. She still didn't ever look back at that villa ever again.
And now, here she stands in the crowded courtroom, wearing a suit with a long blazer, a delicate locket and sharply polished boots. Her eye colour was originally greyish-blue but to hide her identity, she wore lenses of yellowish-golden colour. As her short neck-length wavy hairs were already blonde, it complemented their colour.
She had to hide her identity so as to not get her family involved. She was already so in debt of that. She couldn't do anything else to them.
Defending her client with all she had. So what if the culprit has a very strong backing? They didn't expose her client's identity and had her talk about that incident while trembling just for nothing. They did it all to publicize it so that even a strong backer was left helpless.
This was one of the riskiest cases she took until now and yet it was the most meaningful case for her as she gets the courage to go on from it.
' Thud... Thud... Thud... '
The judge finally gave his verdict. All the ears in the court were perked up. The reporters were ready with a blank note to note the verdict as soon as they heard it. All eyes were fully focused.
Her sharp eyes hidden with a tint of pain glared at the judge. The judge felt his back wet with cold sweat as he finally said.
" Mr Tom, with the charges of rape, fabricating court evidence and attempted murder, is charged with 18 years of prison. The court is adjourned."
As soon as the voice of the judge fell into the ears of the people in the courtroom, there was a stunned silence for a few seconds before it got noisy.
Yet, in that crazy noises of happiness, regret, and congratulations, stood a frozen figure. Her eyes were cold, her heart was cold, and her face was cold, yet you could still see something warm by looking at her.
Just as she was stiffly frozen, she was suddenly hugged tightly. She finally got her senses back as she patted that girl's head.
" I-I... Thank you! Thank you so much, sister Victoria... '
That girl hid her face in Victoria's arms as tears fall from her eyes as she thanked her sincerely.
Looking at Sera, Victoria still didn't feel happy. Even though they won the case, she knew that it was never gonna be the same for that girl. All she could feel was a pain that she could never get rid of. Seeing that girl crying so vulnerable, I felt needles prickle her heart.
Victoria hugged Sera girl as she consoled her gently.
" Now there, don't cry! It's not worth it. Let's go. I will take you out! "
Sera nodded as she still didn't talk. Her parents thanked Victoria but she didn't give much reaction to them. She was especially cold to the father of Sera. After seeing everything a woman had to suffer because of men, she bore a deep hatred for men. For her family, she absolutely loved her father and brother, enough to risk her life for them. Yet she also hated some things about them and she swore by her whole person that if her family members were ever involved in something like this, she would not spare them at all.
That's the level of hatred she had for men.
However, because of this, many people thought that she bends that way. At some point, she even started suspecting herself. Finally, she came to a realization that for her, it didn't matter the gender. Only that person matters. Yet she didn't want to defy her religion and science so she never tried a relationship with a girl.
But she always makes sure to make her clients feel that...
