Yamcha went back to the stage and came to the waiting room side by side with Jackie Chun

"Hoo… That was a complete loss on my part… I was completely helpless!" Yamcha said as he turned to Jackie Chun

"You're still young. You will get even stronger from here on out. I also believed that raw power and speed was everything when I was younger and believe it or not, you're actually much stronger than me when I was younger, like x10 stronger. I believe sooner or later you will surpass me." Jackie Chun said as he replied to Yamcha who believed he was weak

"I see… Thank you for your advice!" Yamcha said as he saluted with his right fist and left palm

"Hoho…" Jackie Chun said as he laughed lightly at the promising young man

"Now let's begin battle#4! Son Goku vs Gilan! Both Contestants please come to the stage!"

Monster Gilan in the shape of a fat dragon came out of the ring and roared "GYAOOMU!!!"

"...? Um… Son Goku-san?"

The audience chatted among themselves

"What's wrong? He's not coming out!

"Son Goku-san! Please come out!" The announcer

"Gahahaha! He's just afraid of me!" Gilan

"Huh? He was here during my battle.." Yamcha commented as he looked around

"Hey! Goku! Where are you? It's your turn!" Krillin shouted to call out Goku

"Just what is that idiot doing?" Jackie Chun clenching his fist

"Hahaha! He ran away! It's my win!" Gilan

"Hey! I found him!" Ran Fan said

They found Goku sleeping at the trunk of a tree

"What are you doing sleeping at a time like this? It's your turn!" Krillin said as he dragged Goku to the ring

"Eh? What?" Goku said still sleepy

"Oh? My battle huh?"

"Hurry! Hurry!" The announcer said as he took over Krillin and dragged Goku with his arm into the ring

"Excuse us… Son Goku was taking a little nap…" The announcer said causing the audience to fall on their head

"Good afternoon! I'm Son Goku!"

"Now let the battle begin!" The announcer said

"You little pipsqueak… I'm gonna grind ya up!"

"Yoh…" Goku said as he stretched out his legs

"Okay!" Goku shouted as he jumped up in the sky sending a flying kick towards Gilan's stomach

"Gah!" Gilan said as he was sent flying away to the edge of the ring

"Huh? You're weak unlike the old man Yamcha fought…" Goku said in disappointment

"What? Weak? You little brat!" Gilan said as he rushed towards Goku with his wings and spit some kind of gum towards Goku who was standing

Goku just jumped up to dodge the gum that Gilan spit and dodged it and again sent a kick but towards Gilan's back "Yah!!!"

"Kuah!" Gilan said as he spit blood out of his mouth as he created a small crater to where he fell down on the stage because of the power brought on by Goku's kick

"Oh… I forgot to control my power… I almost killed him…" Goku said as he scratched his head

The announcer then said "Ohhh! It looks like Son Goku is another strong kid like Krillin, finishing the fight in an instant and possibly causing internal injury to contestant Gilan. It seems that the victor has been decided as contestant Gilan is now knocked out! Battle#4 Winner, Son Goku!"

"... That was boring…" Goku commented in disappointment about his fight

Goku just stood there waiting for the next event

"Son Goku has won! Despite his tiny body, he possessed unbelievable strength! Krillin from battle#1 who wears the same uniform, was also quite the powerhouse! Just what are these kids?!"

"Hehe" Goku laughed as if proud of his strength

"As we proceed to the semi finals, I'd like to take a moment to interview these two! Krillin, please come to the stage, along with Yamcha who also wears the same uniform."

"My, my, you 3 did great in your battles! Too bad for Yamcha who fought a master in his battle! Congratulations on appearing in the Tenkaichi Budoukai!"

"Well… haha…" Yamcha just laughed dryly

"No need to feel bad about it. You we're also strong but I guess it wasn't quite enough yet to go against an old master like Jackie Chun. It was a magnificent fight!"

"That's right!" The audience cheered on Yamcha for him to not feel down about his loss

"Thank you…" Yamcha said in embarrassment as he scratched his head shaking away his disappointment

"And next are these two boys. You two really did great on your battles! Congratulations! You're so small, and yet so strong! Krillin-kun, you're 13 years old, aren't you? How about you? How old are you? Son Goku?" The host brought the microphone near Goku

Goku looked at the mic and said as he pointed "What? Are you giving me this?"

Krillin in embarrassment scolded Goku "S-stupid! This is a microphone! It's a machine that makes your voice louder!"

"Oh… I see…" Goku said as if he was enlightened

Laughter all around the stage sounded from the audience at Goku's ignorance thinking he was joking

"Hahahaha! It seems like everyone enjoyed that little gag of yours there."

"Don't embarrass yourself up here! Just answer the question" Krillin said in embarrassment

"I'm 12! And it's true that I didn't know what that was as I lived in the mountain for 11 years by my grandpa's side before he died 2 years ago"

"I see… We're sorry to hear that… and we're sorry for laughing at you thinking you were joking" The host apologized for the sake of everyone

"It's okay. You didn't know."

"12? Didn't you say 14 earlier?" Krillin replied

"This… I didn't really know how to count after 11, but then Master taught me how to count properly" Goku said as he smiled

"Hohoh! Then the youngest fighter in this tournament is Son-kun!" The host said

"What?! Goku! You're younger than me?" Krillin questioned with a surprised tone

"I guess so… but you're shorter than me, Krillin."

Laughing again sounded from all over the audience at Goku's remark

"By the way, Son-kun? Is that a real tail you have there?" The host asked

"It is a real one." Goku said as he removed his pants

"Kyahhh! Ghahahahah!" Was heard from the audience

"I see, then you three are wearing the same uniform right? Just which dojo do you come from?"

"We don't come from a dojo, we were trained by Muten Roushi-sama." Krillin answered the question

"Mu-Muten Roushi-sama???" The host asked in surprise

The audience was also surprised by Krillin's statement

"So that's why they're so strong?" "They were trained by Muten Roushi-sama?"

"The Muten Roushi, which is said to be the God of Martial Arts?"

"Yes! He made an exception to train Goku and Yamcha where I just tagged along and was also trained by him" Krillin answered

"Unbelievable, these two boys weretrained by Muten Roushi-sama himself! Now I know why they're so strong!" The host exclaimed

"Now, Krillin-kun! Battle#5 is about to start, are you prepared? Jackie Chun is extremely strong! Even your martial brother, Yamcha, lost against him."

"I actually don't know. But I'll give it my best to try and win!" Krillin said

"Alright then, it's finally time for the semi-finals! Starting with battle #5 Jackie Chun, please come to the stage!"

"Yo!"

"Jackie Chun has arrived! Now then! Let us begin the next round!"

"What? Aren't you gonna interview me?" Jackie Chun asked as he glared at the host"

"Eh? That's right…"

"Gimme that!" Jackie Chun took the mic from the host and started singing and dancing

Son Goku who found the dancing to be quite amusing also danced with Jackie Chun

"One, two, one, two, three, four! Bon bon bobobon bon boon! Abaradoo-wah,bappirahh!"

Jackie Chun break danced and was back up danced by Goku

"Thank you! Thank you!" Jackie Chun patted Goku's head

He gave back the mic to the host "Battle#5 begin!"

Krillin rushed towards Jackie Chun punching with his left fist "HAH!!!!"

This made Jackie Chun backflip to dodge but Krillin didn't stop and went again and kicked Jakie Chun in the head again and again

Jackie Chun leaned backwards, but Krillin sent a roundhouse kick causing Jackie Chun to drop on the floor to dodge

This dodge made Krillin a heavy punch with his right fist

Jackie Chun just dodged again slightly, as he dodged Krillin punched again with his right fist which Jackie Chun caught "Not bad! You're really fast!"

At this moment they both jumped backwards to distance a bit

"Let's see here…" Jackie Chun went into a stance with his hands similar to a snake's shape

"Choh!" Jackie Chun dashed forward a bit that Krillin didn't see and hit Krillin in the fast with his left hand

"Gyah!" Krillin groaned in pain as he was sent flying towards the wall of the stage causing his lips to bleed.

Krillin wiped the blood and said as he was still on the ground sitting "That punch… I couldn't see it at all…"
