Another favorite joins Qidian! 140 characters eh? These are from a book called Disorder in the Courts and are things people actually said in court, word for word, ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning? WITNESS: He said, 'Where am I, Cathy?' ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you? WITNESS: My name is Susan! TTORNEY: She had three children, right? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: How many were boys? WITNESS: None. ATTORNEY: Were there any girls? WITNESS: Your Honor, I think I need a different attorney. Can I get a new attorney? βββ ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated? WITNESS: By death. ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated? WITNESS: Take a guess. βββ ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual? WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female? WITNESS: Unless the Circus was in town I'm going with male.
The issue with names here... Is that qidian's translator didn't go through any of the previous chapters. None. Which means the only ones to read prior to this, are fan translations that have always been consistent. This is not consistent. By changing the names you are leaving every reader to guess and piece together which names got changed to what, why certain names got changed in the way they did (ah qi to seven. You left out half the name. But Su Clan's seven every single instance instead is so much better, right?) and the fact that you also changed the names of all the stages of cultivation. Essentially, I can't help but feel the people who made these decisions only did it to 'individualize' this trans from fan ones. That is pathetic reason that only serves to confuse readers. Not a single damn was given about continuity, ease of transition for readers since qidian's full time translators will outpace fan ones that are doing it running only on generous donations AND Qidian did not bother translating any of the previous chapters so new readers could go and start from scratch to actually not be forced to google unofficial translations threatened with legal action. Hm. So... What I'm getting from this is Qidian WANTS us to read unofficial translations instead of their own more contrived, and due to internal company political issues, lesser quality translations. Either go back and have a separate, smaller team make up the gap between chapter 1 and 138, or change your terminology to be more familiar to the reader while there are still less than 50 chapters to edit. That would be the proper way to do this, and despite all past actions I have hope for a good solution that I contributed to or a better one I didn't think of.

i read this novel somewhere before . it was really fun for the 140 chapters that i read. nice mix of comedy and action . the story takes place in modern era with cultivation elements much like the red packet server novel. characters are not many and so far no useless characters seen. also the author uses the comedy due to misunderstanding and age gab a lot which i really like :p
anyone else unhappy with being required to pay spirit stones to read chapters? last chapter I read required 13... Every day I check in I get 10 spirit stones. at the end of the day, those stones go away. So I need to lose on spirit stones, eventually having to actually buy them, just to read the chapters.... I liked it better when I could just agree to watch an ad.
You know, I like this one. I like it a lot and am really glad it was picked up here. It's a kind of lol lol let's take a stroll kind of a novel. It's not serious, like at all. A derpy and funny read about a young student who got involved with secret wuxia folks. It reminds me a little of "The Breaker" manga, but in way more light hearted manner. A slice of life with a twist. Yeah. I like that sentence. There ain't gonna be epic battles of good and evil, fate and demise. It's a story to read on a way to your work, it's greatest values would be unhurried pacing and occasional smile while reading. Recommended. Uncle's Stamp of Approval.
