The Unstressed Friends is a prequel to the original story The Stressed Friends. This story centers on the friendship between Alif, Ilyasa, Silia, and their interactions with other friends around them. Ilyasa is an orphan who lives with his older sister, Viola. He is known as a quiet, introverted person who tends to withdraw from social life. Most of his days are spent at home–either playing games or training intensely to keep himself occupied. However, one night, his life begins to change when he meets a boy his own age. That encounter becomes the starting point of an unusual and meaningful friendship. How will their relationship develop? What conflicts might arise? And what kind of adventures await them? Find the answers in this story. Note : The story is set in a fictional city called Badua Raya, a modern metropolis located on an island near East Kalimantan. The city is well-planned, rapidly developing, and its citizens live in relative prosperity. The entire city is managed by a powerful corporation known as Wiraswara Company, which also uses Badua Raya as its headquarters. Due to the company’s overwhelming influence, the local government holds very limited authority. The Unstressed Friends is a more serious reinterpretation of the previous work The Stressed Friends, an absurd comedy about the daily lives of three eccentric characters: Iyas, Icam, and Alif. The main distinction in this version lies in its more logical, emotional, and grounded tone. The addition of the prefix “Un-” in the title symbolizes a shift in narrative direction—toward a deeper and more realistic story.
