The guy was tortured for like a while, do you expect him to stay sane? there will be side effects for all that happened. We will see in the future, looking forward to it.

Either he has personality disorder or the author is showing a new protagonist side, only he gave no or little indication that this side existed, which made the change in behavior seem very abrupt.

I don't really agree with those complaining about the personality shift. He's kind to most people, but most people aren't trying to harm him. He also asked death for a strong will to see through his plans, and he's suffered a great deal of torture. So he should have a hard side to him. Most people are not simple and have different faces they show to different people in different situations.0

I agree on the other comments the shift of character is too abrupt and too much. It would be realistic if he just knock them away with a wave of magic and throw a flashbang like spell and left, making the MC to the others look strong and mysterious while retaining his character. you could just then write a monologue of his thoughts. Just my comment and opinion and nothing else.

Hes basically becoming a new Voldemort and hes way too powerful at 13. You basically made him more powerful than the darklord himself. he had a little traUma early and now he basically has no weakness.

I do not care about the personality shift at all. But that was a behaviour of power-tripping a**hole. It makes the mc really unlikeable. Instead of "badass" I see "child".
