After finishing the book, I must say I quite enjoyed it. The characters are lovable and funny, a witty FL, a shameless ML, a couple of adorable 'children', and a few noteworthy side characters that I hope will make a comeback in the following novels. The pacing of the action is quite good, didn't feel rushed or dragged on, although some events are left to be finished in the future, I hope. I would have preferred to have a bit more fluffy and combat scenes, and less visits to that shopping pavilion, but it doesn't detract from the overall story. Grammar wise the book was fine, barely saw any mistakes, and it was neatly formatted, a pleasant read overall.
In the end, I don't think there's much left to be said without going into spoilers. It was a good first book, and I hope the rest of the series follows through.
