I visited author profile in fanfiction site and my God there's ton of abandoned fanfics there. I reckon he will stop writing this fic once it reached 40k words

I don't know, where I should write it, but I would like to recommend this One Piece story called 'This Bites!'. FF story, SI OC, MC goes on adventure with main characters with slight changes in the future (I'm not that far in the plot).
