Not necessarily. Yes, she may have desired to live, but ultimately, her wish was to die, either to start anew by cycle of reincarnation, forget her pain of long life or something else, and not to become part of a peerage right after she dies. This was kinda a dick move. Not that I don't like it, hell, I love her character and would even call her proper waifu material.
