weaning... already? dude, in low income families, especially in 2nd and 3rd world countries. Babies tend to stay breastfed for YEARS. cuz it is easier on the family. As well as healthier. It helps build the immune system. If this family is struggling at all with money. If this world is in the state it is (sounds 3rd world, as far as civilization goes). Then MC would not be weaned off breast milk till he was like 4 or 5. heck, I've heard of places where they do not wean kids off it till they are like 10yo.
