You need to find better websites for good fanfics. Webnovel is... What it is, but finding anything decent in the fanfic section is almost a miracle. Personally, I go to SB/SV/QQ forums to feed my fanfic cravings, and while not everything is great there I'd say at least half of them good enough to read.

Imo the author used the Waifu Catalog as an inspiration for the different special "powers" the protag has, from insane talent in almost all ninja arts to training up his girls up to ridiculous levels, or the personally designed pocket dimension, up to and including the borderline enslaving "love" he can make girls feel for himself. It's not a clear copypasta but a lot of the, if not "mechanics" of the Waifu Catalog then the underlying logic of it keeps popping up as the story goes.

It's a pity how apparent it is that the author never actually played WoW...
