Compendium of Creeps,Chills,and Cryptids

"Welcome, mortal... do leave your sanity at the threshold." Before you lies a meticulously curated ossuary of human dread-a global registry of the things that haunt the periphery of our vision and the darkest corners of our collective subconscious. From the whispered rituals of the ancient world to the digital demons of the modern age, this Compendium serves as your guided tour through the geography of the nightmare. We spare no soul in our quest for the uncanny. Within these pages, you will encounter: The Ethereal & The Avenging: Seek the crimson reflection of Bloody Mary or the weeping specters that linger in the ruins of history. Maritime Mysteries: Walk the silent, salt-crusted decks of the SS Ourang Medan, where a crew was found frozen in a final, wordless paroxysm of absolute horror. Urban Legends & Modern Maladies: From the hooked-handed killers of lovers' lanes to the hitchhikers who vanish into the midnight mist. The Cryptid & The Corrupted: Track the clawed footprints of the Mothman, the Jersey Devil, and the insatiable hunger of the Wendigo. This archive is a living entity, and it hungers for more. I, your humble curator, have gathered much, but the darkness is vast. Have I overlooked a phantom that haunts your own doorstep? Is there a local legend from your ancestral soil that demands recognition? I implore you to leave your comments. If an urban legend has been missed or a particular monster deserves its moment in the moonlight, speak up. Your contributions are the lifeblood of this monument to the macabre. Enter freely, read by candlelight, and remember: To name the darkness is to claim power over it. But be warned... the darkness is listening.

Noble Emblem

Noble Emblem

A young Brave walked out of his village, gathered companions to his side, defeated the Great Demon King, became famous, then came back with beauties in hand! This was a legend that appears in the world of Seyrol every 200 years! Our protagonist, however, isn’t a Brave. Even so, for over a thousand years his figure has loomed throughout its history. Unwittingly, the name of the Red Priest began to resound throughout the world. Red Priest’s legend included extraordinary sword techniques and magic, erudite knowledge, and an almost prophetic ability to lead young Braves toward the proper path. People of the world think of him as a descendent of the ancient Golden Race which led to his omnipotence. In essence, however, this was just the characteristics of the profession known as ‘Noble’. A word from the fabulousest translator/editor on Earth which is me I took upon this translation/editing project for the same reason I started translating my first Chinese novel. There are just too many big ass gems buried in a deep cesspool. I've long guessed that Qidian stopped introducing good Chinese novels on this platform in order to give some breathing room for English (and other) originals, but I don't agree with such approach. From a reader's standpoint, it is such a shame that we don't even know how many brilliant works we are missing because of the language barrier. To be honest, I'm mainly copypasting from the site called Novelhi. It is a really good resource and their machine translation is the best I've seen so far, and they also translate up to the latest available chapter. Still, they have several issues. For some reason they always miss the last paragraph which make you can missout on a potentially very important information related to a story, and they also have parts where just a couple of words gets repeated for a whole paragraph and it actually replaces the original text. They also translate an ad together with a chapter which is immersion breaking. I'll be correcting the inherent sins of such MTL with manual editing and translation and I will also polish some rough edges so that the readers will have as much seemless reading experience as possible. You will definitely have a better time reading this than me for sure

What are some of the best sweeps stories?
One of the best sweeps stories could be about a small town's community clean - up sweep. Volunteers came together to clean every nook and cranny of the town. They cleared out old junk from abandoned lots, painted over graffiti, and planted flowers in public areas. It not only made the town look beautiful but also brought the community closer.
