Welcome to 2205, where humanity has evolved into a civilization of superpowered stickmen, and literally everyone is born with an elemental ability. Fire manipulation? Check. Lightning speed? Naturally. The power to turn any conversation awkward with ill-timed air currents? That's just Vento being Vento.
In the gleaming Solarpunk Nation, a place where nature and technology shake hands instead of fighting, the state of Solaris sits smack in the center of everything important. It's home to bustling cities like Ralos (where our story begins), Solarclopens (the shiny National City where the big tournament everyone won't shut up about takes place), Heimarus (awkwardly named after the current Prime Minister, doomed to rename itself every election), and a whole bunch of other places that are definitely on the map. Probably.
People here don't use their powers to survive. They use them to thrive: building, protecting, occasionally showing off at parties. The strongest fighters can literally destroy entire buildings with a sneeze. It's illegal, obviously, but also very cool to watch from a safe distance.
Enter Blaze, a seventeen-year-old fire manipulator who trains harder than anyone else, wakes up at dawn to practice, probably dreams in slow-motion combat montages, and yet somehow constantly feels like he's this close to being exposed as a fraud who just got lucky with a decent power. He's got massive energy reserves, creative techniques, and the kind of work ethic that makes overachievers look lazy. But if you asked him? He'd tell you he's "pretty average" and "probably not good enough for the tournament" while literally setting himself on fire for the fifth hour straight.
He's joined by his equally chaotic friend group.
Together, they attend Solarpunk National High, where classes include "don't accidentally burn down the Biology wing during Reproduction lessons" and "please stop using powers in the hallways, we just fixed the floor."
Oh, and there's a tournament coming up. A big one. The kind where students get selected to represent their school, fight in front of massive crowds in Solarclopens, and maybe, just maybe, catch the eye of professional scouts. Blaze wants in. Badly. Even though he's pretty sure he's not strong enough.
