I loosen my grip and he falls to the ground in a lifeless heap. The other nearly drops his sword in fear and I crouch down to grab the dead guards key ring. Using it to unlock the cell, I push open the door. The newbie takes it as an opportunity to attempt to swing at me. I use the flat side of my hand to knock the sword from his grip and faster than he can react, I pin him against the wall, the sword pressed flush against his neck. ”Please, please don't kill me, ” he pleads.
