The water droplets from the broken faucet fell into the rusty plates and then into the corroded basin.

In one corner I saw the spider making webs. I was interested in it because I liked small creatures. Biology was the only subject I was interested in school. I guess that's why the blood from my wrists made me more fascinated than scared.

In a distance I heard two men talking. It was a faint noise but I could hear some of it.

"Jack how much should we demand for ..... Sure?"

The other voice replied

"No how the hell do you think .....suffice."

Even though I could only make part of the conversation I knew exactly what they were talking about. They were discussing about how much ransom they should ask from my parents...

The door opened and the sudden increase in brightness made it hard for me to open my eyes. They asked my mom's number and I gave it to them.

Ironically, my mom came to get me, AFTER a week... My body hurt from being tied for so long, it had blood all over it, my stomach ached from not having eaten anything. I probably looked like a walking corpse but guess what my mom told me right when i got home?

"Get the f*ck out of my sight and get your a*s to bed"

I went to my room upstairs in this grand manor I call my home. My father was the CEO of *Edel Holdings* the huge firm that had connections all over the world. Yep I was his daughter Emily. I was always adored by my father because I didn't had a mum. But when two years earlier he remarried, i was confounded. And like the one's on tv my stepmom turned out to be two-faced witch. I was okay with it as long as dad was happy. Dad died unexpectedly due to a sudden cardiac arrest last October it's been eight months since and my step mom has been abusing me since then.

I sat on my bed and thought about what happened since last year and with a deep sigh i opened my cabinet and drew some snacks from it. I had some emergency supplies in case my step mom grounded me. Let's say those cookies saved me from dying.

I put dressing over my wounds and reflected back to my kidnapping and thought that it was not up to the mark. You see being a billionaire's daughter you get these frequent incidents and i'm so used to it now.

But on a positive note i thought it will all be over in just a matter of two days. It's my birthday in two days which will mean I would turn eighteen and legally inherit all my father's legacy. Honestly I couldn't care less about money right now, I just want my mum to stop abusing me so I'm signing it all off to my step mom with only 5% in my possession and leaving this home.
