Olympic Games, Olympic Fuwa
Fuwa was the mascot of the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008. They were designed by Han Meilin, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University. They were five cute and intimate friends. Their shapes incorporated the images of fish, giant pandas, Tibetan antelopes, swallows, and the Olympic flame. Their names were "Beibei,""Jingjing,""Huanhuan,""Yingying," and "Nini." They were homophonic with "Beijing welcomes you," which also meant "Beijing welcomes you."
Fuwa's colors and inspiration came from the Olympic rings, China's vast mountains and rivers, rivers and lakes, and people's favorite animal images. Each Fuwa represented a good wish, such as prosperity, joy, passion, health and good luck, and conveyed the good wishes of friendship, peace, positive spirit and harmony between man and nature to children all over the world.
On August 5, 2004, the mascot collection began. On December 1, the collection ended and a total of 662 valid entries were received. After many rounds of review and appraisal by the recommendation committee, the modification team, and the closed modification of the creation, it was officially announced on November 11, 2005. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Fuwa became the smallest torchbearer in the Olympics. To commemorate the 500th day of the birth of the Fuwa, China Post also issued 30,000 sets of "Olympic Fuwa Stamps" with authorization and approval on the 500-day countdown to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. 2021 Olympic Games
The 2021 Tokyo Olympics had many unforgettable things.
From the perspective of the opening ceremony, as the highlight of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, it should reflect the Olympic spirit, the national culture, customs, and organizational level of the host country, and express its welcome to the guests from all over the world. However, the 2021 Tokyo Olympics simplified some parts of the opening ceremony, and experienced the disbandment of the director team of the opening and closing ceremonies and the extension of the ending time by 30 minutes. In terms of the lighting of the main torch, the previous Olympic Games had their own characteristics. For example, the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and the 2012 London Olympic Games all had their own unique way of lighting the main torch. The main torch of the Tokyo Olympic Games was located far away from the stadium in the riverside area.
The performance of the athletes was even more remarkable. July 24th was a memorable day. Yang Qian won the first gold medal. As a girl born after 2000, she seemed inconspicuous but proved herself with her actions. When she won the championship, the five-star red flag was raised, and the national song was played, it was extremely proud. On the same day, Hou Huijie won the gold medal in weightlifting, and Sun Yiwen also won the gold medal. These moments made people excited. The fighting spirit of the China athletes was touching. They still went all out without the support of the audience. Their hard work inspired everyone and allowed people to see the inheritance of the Olympic spirit. This spirit was the source of power for the development of the country and the endless life of mankind. At the same time, the Olympic Games was not only a sports event, but also a symbol of world peace, friendship, and unity, reflecting the survival and political state of the world.
