I once showed up on my first day of work at a really formal office wearing the wrong shoes. I had on my casual sneakers instead of proper dress shoes. I didn't notice until I was already in the elevator with my new colleagues. They all stared at my feet and I felt so out of place. I had to endure the whole day feeling self - conscious about it.

One of my embarrassing first day of high school stories was when I got lost on the way to my first class.
