The Disjective Question or the Tag Question was also known as the tag question. It was composed of two parts. The first part was a statement, and the second part was a short question. The person and tense of these two parts had to be consistent, and they followed the principle of "yes before no, no before yes". It exists mainly out of curiosity, hoping that the other party will confirm something that they are not sure about (used to confirm the facts or opinions of the speaker).

For example,"The car is good, isn't it?" The car isn't good. Is it?”(Yes, yes, yes).

The common forms were as follows:
1. ** Yes before, no after **: For example,"Jack will be here soon, won't he?"“There were many books, weren’t there?”“Mary should study hard, shouldn’t she?”
2. ** First no then yes **: For example,"Jack won't be late, will he?"“They don’t go there, do they?”“You haven’t got a house, have you?”
3. ** Reverse question of imperative sentence **: such as "Give the salt to me, will/won't you?"“Don’t be late, will you?”

Special form:
1. When the first part of the subject of a rhetorical question is an indeterminate pronoun such as everybody, everyone, someone, no one, nobody, somebody, etc., the second part of the subject should be used in the formal form, and in the formal form, they should be used. For example,"Everybody believes who he is, doesn't he?" "Everyone knew him, didn't they?" (in an unofficial style)
2. When the subject of the first half of a rhetorical question is the infinitive pronoun everything, anything, something, or nothing, the subject of the second half should be it. "Nothing could change me, could it?"“Everything is all right, isn’t it?”
3. When the first half of a rhetorical question contains negative words such as rarely, hardly, never, rarely, few, little, nowhere, nothing, etc., or implied negative words, the latter part should be in the affirmative form. For example,"Jim seldom plays computer games, does he?"“Few people know that matter, do they?”If the negative word in the statement has a negative prefix, the statement is treated as a positive sentence, and the question is still in the negative form, such as "This book is unimportant, isn't it?"
4. When the statement part is I'm... In the sentence structure, the interrogative part used aren't I. "I'm a student, aren't I?"
5. When the statement part of the sentence has an object clause of that, the question part is consistent with the subject and the predicates of the main sentence. Like "You think (that) you are fine, don't you?"“He believes (that) he is going to be a teacher, doesn’t he?”However, when the statement sentence is I suppose/think/believe/suspect/imagine, the question part is consistent with the subject and the predicates of the that clause, and pay attention to the negative transfer.
