Chapter 2: Tripitaka's Pilgrimage This chapter tells the story of Tang Sanzang and his party who went to India to obtain scriptures. They met many Indian monsters and immortals, as well as a fierce battle with Sun Wukong and others. Havoc in Heaven This chapter tells the story of Sun Wukong and others wreaking havoc in the Heavenly Palace. They launched a fierce struggle with the immortals of the Heavenly Palace. The Western Paradise This chapter tells the story of Tang Sanzang and the others who arrived in India and began their journey to retrieve the Buddhist scriptures. They encountered many dangers and challenges but finally succeeded in retrieving the scriptures. Returning to the Court and Receiving the Bestowal This chapter tells the story of Tang Sanzang and others who returned to China and were received and rewarded by the emperor. They continued to spread Buddhist culture in China. Monsters and Devils This chapter tells the story of the monsters and demons that Sun Wukong and others encountered on their way to the scriptures. They fought fiercely with the monsters. Chapter 7: The Western Buddhist Scriptures II This chapter tells the story of Tang Sanzang and others who went to India to retrieve the Buddhist scriptures. They encountered new crises and challenges in India but finally succeeded in retrieving the Buddhist scriptures. Returning to the Court and Receiving the Bestowal II This chapter tells the story of Tang Sanzang and others who returned to China and were received and rewarded by the emperor. They continued to spread Buddhist culture in China.
