English Test Reflection In the recent English exam, I unfortunately did not achieve satisfactory results. Through a careful analysis of my performance, I have identified several key issues that contributed to this outcome. Firstly, my lack of sufficient preparation was a major factor. I did not allocate enough time for review before the exam. Instead of spending time on consolidating grammar knowledge, memorizing vocabulary, and practicing various types of questions, I engaged in other non - study - related activities. This negligence led to my being unfamiliar with many important knowledge points during the exam, and I could not answer some questions accurately. Secondly, in the process of answering questions, I found that my basic knowledge was not solid enough. For example, in grammar, I was often confused about verb tenses and sentence structures. When it came to vocabulary, I encountered words that I should have known but had forgotten, which affected my understanding of the questions and the accuracy of my answers. In addition, my reading comprehension skills need to be improved. I was slow in reading speed, which made it difficult for me to complete all the reading comprehension questions within the allotted time. Moreover, I did not fully understand the deep meaning of the passages, leading to incorrect answers. Finally, in writing, I also had obvious shortcomings. My writing was not organized enough, and there were many grammar and spelling mistakes. I did not use rich vocabulary and complex sentence structures to express my ideas clearly. In view of the above problems, I have made the following improvement plans. I will make a reasonable study plan, allocate enough time for English learning every day, especially for grammar review and vocabulary expansion. I will also practice reading comprehension more often to improve my reading speed and comprehension ability. In writing, I will write more short essays and ask teachers or classmates for advice to improve my writing skills. I believe that through continuous efforts, I will be able to improve my English performance in future exams. Read more exciting novels for free

In ancient times, there were several ways for soldiers to be promoted: ** 1. Relying on military merits ** 1. ** Military merits calculated on the head ** - During the pre-Qin period, the military merit system of Qin State after Shang Yang's reform was more typical. There were 20 ranks in the Qin Kingdom, and the lowest rank was called "Duke". Ordinary soldiers could be promoted by killing their enemies on the battlefield. For example, if they could obtain the head of an enemy soldier in battle, they could be promoted by one level. They could also increase their farmland by one acre and their residence by nine acres. In battle, the calculation of military merits under different organizations was also related to the number of heads. For example, there was a station chief for every five people and a general for every 100 people. If the leaders of these two levels could obtain 33 heads or more during the battle, the station chief and general would each be promoted to a rank of nobility. A general who led 500 people would be equipped with 50 short soldiers. A general who led 1000 people would have 100 short soldiers. If the general died in battle, if the surviving short soldiers under his command could obtain an enemy's head, they would be exempted from punishment. During a siege, the participating troops had to obtain 8000 enemy heads to be considered to have met the requirements. During a field battle, they only needed to obtain 2000 enemy heads. After meeting these conditions, everyone in the army would be promoted by one rank of nobility. - In the Qin and Han Dynasties, this method of calculating military merits by relying on the head was also continued. Soldiers who obtained military merits could not only be rewarded with mansions and land, but they could also be promoted in the army. However, there were drawbacks to calculating military merits with the head. For example, the head was large and inconvenient to carry. It was difficult to carry it after killing many people. 2. ** Ear-cutting calculation of military merits ** - Due to the inconvenience of calculating military merits with the head, the method of cutting off the ear to calculate military merits came into being. Compared to the head, the ear was easier to carry. Usually, the left ear of the other party was cut off to calculate one's military merits. This way, it would not affect the soldiers 'killing of the enemy in battle as much as possible and increase their combat efficiency. 3. ** Calculating military merits based on team performance (applicable to those promoted from basic to middle level)** - During the Pre-Qin period, as the rank of a soldier rose, when they were promoted from a basic management position, they would calculate their military merits according to the "performance of a team". For example, if a person was already in a low-level management position and the "team" they led killed 30 enemy armorers, they could be promoted to another level. As their position became higher, the military merits required often depended on whether the troops could achieve their strategic goals in a battle. ** 2. Demonstrate leadership and strategy ** - Being a low-level officer in the army was an important opportunity to train leadership skills and strategic wisdom. Soldiers needed to learn how to command and manage troops, and how to formulate tactics and strategies. They needed to remain vigilant in the limited opportunities for promotion and seize every opportunity to show their leadership and strategic skills. ** 3. Possess moral qualities ** - Noble moral character and loyalty were the key factors for a soldier's promotion. They needed to win the trust and appreciation of their superiors in order to stand out among the many competitors. ** 4. Continue to learn military knowledge and skills ** - Soldiers needed to constantly learn and improve their military knowledge and skills, keep up with the changes in the war situation, and adapt to new tactics and strategies. Only in this way could they maintain an advantage in the fierce competition and achieve promotion. The novel "The General's Promotion" is equally exciting. Everyone is welcome to click and read it!

Grateful Parents Parents 'love is like the warm sun, always warming our path of growth. When we were young, we grew up under the care of our parents. When we were learning to speak, our mother patiently taught us how to pronounce. When we were learning to walk, our father supported us with his strong hands. They poured endless love into every step of our growth. I still remember that time when I was sick. I suddenly had a high fever at night. In a daze, my mother has been waiting by my side, busy. She took my temperature, fed me medicine, and wiped my forehead with a wet towel to cool me down. Under her careful care, I gradually fell asleep. When I woke up, I saw my mother's bloodshot eyes and worried eyes. As we grew up, our parents grew old. His once black hair was now filled with silver, his smooth face had wrinkles, and his tall and straight figure had become a little hunched. And their love for us has never changed. We should be grateful to our parents, study hard, live up to their expectations, do some housework within our power, and share their pressure. Because of their love, we can grow up healthily and be grateful to our parents. Read more exciting novels for free
