SPOILERS AHEAD! My thoughts after finishing the whole novel (421 chapters + epilogue of about 10 chapters). The author was a newbie and this is his first novel (from raw notes, his other newer novels are: "I just want to be killed by everyone" and "I am really a perless expert"). Suprisingly a very charming novel in its own way. Definitely sets a different mood than all other novels from this genre. It was so interesting that I went for MTL. The fights and reactions get a lil repetitive in the last 100 chapters, but this novel is not about elaborate plot. Some might say there is no suspense as MC is invincible, but I actually liked how the story focused on fleshing out his personality and making the story a kind of sightseeing tour for MC. At first he was a wine lover and a foodie (his disciple inherited these traits), too lazy to bother with other forces, people etc, he preferred to be left alone, drinking wine and cooking some food, viewing nature and sleeping like a mortal (it's later explained that the first days after transmigration had a hand in shaping his personality). But then he started agreeing to do some tasks for his senior brother who was the leader of sect (the sect took him in when he just transmigrated and they took care of him) and so he started to take liking to going out, he became kind of curious child and found staying in his previous place for longer time boring. His sightseeing tour began, we could follow him and witness all these other areas, borders, voids, planets, domains, universes, higher realms, god continents and their struggles. He also acts as a kind of protector, casually setting e.g. protective barrier for his main world, isolating it from outside, so that it doesn't get invaded. They didn't have contact with other planes, voids, universes, higher realms anyway, because the world was low-tier. As for his hobbies, at the end of the main chapters, he developed a new hobby, which was singing. In epilogue, 100 years later, he still had this hobby, even his daughter thought he's just a drunk father who was married by her powerful mother because he looked handsome and his singing was nice to listen to. He doesn't go for harem. He ends up with one girl, and subtly rejects two others - everything somewhere in the last 15 chapters. The girl he ended up with was not surprising, I mean can it get any more obvious, she started to learn how to cook somewhere in the middle of the novel and later cooked food for him & visited him often, besides she appeared quite early on in the novel, but it was only MC seeing her on some sects meeting. Later he saved her life a couple of times, took her for a tour to the central continent, gave her beauty a compliment and so on. He actually didn't really have love feelings to other girls. His disciple is like his child, another one he views as little sister, and there's other one that is his sword. As for the last girl, he didn't meet her that often other than one arc so he didn't even notice she had feelings for him. As for the ending, well, it's actually not ridiculous as in most chinese novels. The ending isn't cut with vague lines, he doesn't end up ruling whole universe or waking up from a dream. Don't worry. The author even adds about 10 chapters of epilogue to show us what is going on 100 years later :) The author tied things up without rushing. Do I recommend reading it? Yeah, I guess. Not a masterpiece, but I liked this change of pace. "Xianxia: My Junior Sisters are all Villains", while quite similar in initial chapters, is much worse in my opinion in terms of MC, plot and side characters personality. The main 421 chapters are solid, but author left somewhat a bad taste in my mouth all because of CHAPTER 2 OF EPILOGUE. To keep the story short, what I am about to describe is just one chapter: MC manipulated timeline and went back to Earth 2 months after he transmigrated. War was coming, because of USA. He destroyed all their weapons and technology and that's it. He is a guy who likes peace as can be seen throughout the novel. What is the problem? Well, why not destroy whole world's war technology? Author, why demonize US, why, you were doing so well! It's already after the main story finished anyway so doesn't matter much though..

LIKEMaybe you need to to get your book published in china lol
ravelphenexx:Why demonize usa? Because this is chinese novel. I've read many others who done the same. They will make the west and most of the time usa be the villain. Sometimes they call it murican or merican or whatever but we know it's referring to usa.
