The idea behind the story is good. But it just doesn't make sense for someone who has a system and trains for 11 years to be so weak and careless. He had 200,000 points to spend and a level B shadow clone jutsu only cost 1,000, even if he didn't train at all and only did the easiest missions with those points in that time he would at least be cadre level.
