It’s 2074, Massive Virtual Reality MMORPG “Awaken II” launches. Fan Yel was just a normal depressed nobody on Earth. Suddenly finding himself in a parallel universe, he becomes the chosen in a world with no Physics My talent? Debuff? Don’t worry, I’m still top damager. How I do this? Ahahah I’m TALENTed. GM: Your broken. Yel: Well you made me this broken. However, this game exists without physics? How does this parallel universe run? What is human evolution hiding? What secrets will Yel find out?
Yel wasn't surprised by the amount of experience the boss brought, but he was shocked by the first kill rewards. It doubled the amount of experience from the boss itself, boosting Yel up by 7 levels.
Lee, Rin and Jill also reached Level 12, which changed the leaderboard drastically.
1. Cheng Lv12
2. potati Lv12
3. Fan Lv12
4. Heng Lv12
5. XianWang Lv6
"Hey guys, what do we do with the loot?" Lee asked the party, but directly looked at Yel.
"Well, didn't the system say to turn them in at Sir Raspey in Sura?" Yel said. "We should follow its advice, maybe we would even get better rewards because he was bountied."
Lee nodded, "I thought so too. Let's go."
Lee picked up all the loot and the corpse of the boss. In Awaken, none of the corpses of humanoid figures disappeared. This specific boss can be traded in for some rewards.
Field bosses are also a one time event. They are usually NPCs, and once they get killed they disappear from the game.
As the party started walking north towards Sura in silence, Yel received a system message:
[Requirements meet, starting questline, [Paths of the Wind]!]
[Paths of the Wind] (Class Advancement)
Talk to Blade Trainer, Timon in Sura.
Completion Reward: Access to the full questline.
Time Limit: 3 hours.
Failure: Forfeit of the quest.
Yel's eyes opened wide. This was a hidden class advancement quest, which was assigned to him after reaching level 10.
As they walked, Lee looked funny too. Yel wondered if Lee also got a class advancement quest.
Everyone was silent, but they were probably talking in private messages, at least Yel was.
[You have received a friend request from Heng]
-Fan: Hi
-Heng: Hi
-Heng: I don't know who to trust except for you.
-Heng: You are my bestie :)
-Heng: [Screenshot]
Jill sent over a screenshot. Yel opened it, it was a quest description:
[Symbol of Shade] (Class Advancement)
Talk to Assassin Trainer, Tina in Sura.
Completion Reward: Access to the full questline.
Time Limit: 3 hours.
Failure: Forfeit of the quest.
-Heng: Bestie what's this about?
-Fan: [Screenshot]
-Fan: I got one too.
-Fan: It says in the name, it's most likely a hidden class advancement quest.
-Heng: Oh.
-Heng: That's good isn't it!
-Heng: Am I going to be overpowered like you?
-Fan: LOL
-Fan: Maybe, we'll see.
Yel then opened Yin's chat.
-Fan: Hey, sorry I was hitting bosses, how you going?
-KimJungLei: Not taking me along?
-KimJungLei: That's unacceptable right there.
-Fan: Sorry sorry, next time.
-Fan: Meet me in Sura, I'll take you into the party as well.
-Fan: Bring Yang as well.
-KimJungLei: Ok ok.
Yin was the most demanding person Yel knows, but he was one of his first friends in life.
Yel looked at the number of unread messages: 15. It was from XianWang.
-XianWang: Hi.
-XianWang: Helloooo.
-XianWang: What art thee up to?
-XianWang: Hiiiiiii?
-XianWang: Helloooooooooooo?
…
-XianWang: Wherefore art thee not replying to me?
Yel laughed.
-Fan: LMAO
-Fan: sorry, I didn't have time.
-XianWang: Thee shalt payeth f'r thissssss!
-Fan: …
-Fan: Bye-
XianWang, known by Yel's friend group as Jian, his real name. Jian was the delusional and annoying kid in every friend group. She also had to be the smartest among them. Lee was the factual sort of nerd who gathered statistics; Jian was the sort that thinks all over the place and blurts out random facts at random times.
Set nuubwithtoyjustlikeidiotwithtoy friend's nickname as Dao. Yel commanded the system.
[Success]
Yel cursed the long name. It was the most stupid name ever. Dao never fails to annoy people; just by his name, he has pushed Yel into rage.
-Fan: Dao, your name is so majestic.
-Fan: I wish I knew your location so I can punch you.
-Fan: We are in a game now, even if you are 2 metres tall, you can't beat me anymore.
-Dao: Don't talk to me.
-Dao: I'm emo, just like my talent.
-Dao: [Emo(A) Lv1: All attacks relating to the harm of oneself as the cost is enhanced by 5x]
-Fan:(;゜0゜)
-Fan: (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
-Fan: Do you know how broken that is?
-Fan: You are the perfect warlock/necromancer material.
-Fan: Don't warlocks have skills like: "Draining one's own HP, deal (HP drained) Death Damage at target."
-Fan: Something like that. You will still be draining the same amount of HP, but you're dealing 5 times the amount of damage!
-Dao: ᶘ ᵒᴥᵒᶅ
-Dao: OMG? I'm actually broken?
-Dao: Let's go. Time to start grinding!
[hotChunHeiWu has accepted your friend request]
[hotChunHeiWu successfully set as Yang]
-Yang: Yin told me you're gonna carry me.
-Fan: Yeah, you're on the leaderboard though, so you have the skill to solo you know?
-Yang: Stop trying to manipulate me, I know this is a team game.
-Yang: Stop trying to PUA me, not cool Yel, not cool.
-Fan: ◎_◎
-Fan: What did I do now?
-Yang: I'm at Sura, when will you be here?
-Fan I reckon soon enough.
Yel looked at the distance they had left until they arrived at Sura: 389 km.
With their current walking speed, there was absolutely no way they can reach Sura inside Yel and Jill's quest time limit. It was time to speed up.
