Prologue

It's been a few years now since Awaken.

Awaken changed our lives.

I'm happy with him now. He's my world, my everything.

Wow, it's been almost 40 years since I met him in 2023.

Awaken wasn't the average mobile game you find in your app store. It was mythical.

My friends gave it up, now he and I watch them die, slowly, one by one.

It was painful. His face, still the one I remember from 2023.

40 years, we had a child.

The child looked cute when it came out of my womb.

It looked around in wonder. It was attracted to the clouds, the rainbows, and everything.

He looked at me then, and held my hand.

He wished the child to be forever happy.

We wished for it to never fall into a FML era like we had.

We sent it down, to be educated, and to have some social life.

We watched it grow, laugh, play.

It was like it was a normal child, except it wasn't.

15 years passed in joy.

Then FML happened.

I think it runs through genetics.

The wish worked.

It was gone from us.

He was furious. He used his power. He wanted to track it down, and bring back the happy life before.

We still have time.

2074 is still early.

Eventually, we didn't find it.

It found us.
