Why A Dimensional Chat Group?

In contemporary Japan, Yuu Tachibana lives a seemingly ordinary life with his beloved family. However, Yuu harbors a secret: he has lived a past life in another world, making his current life his second. Having no one to call family in his previous life, Yuu cherishes his family all the more. One fateful night, Yuu discovers an unidentified phone in his room. The message displayed on its screen is cryptic and foreboding: [Do you want to save your family from their terrible fate?] With a sense of dread, Yuu is faced with a choice: [Yes] or [No]. Yuu must decide if he is willing to risk everything to protect his loved ones. Will he choose to save them, or let fate run its course? -------- So, before you jump into the fic, let me address the frustration of some readers, This fic is slow. The Dimensional Chat Group, is not given to the MC in the first or fifth chapter. No, no! Not even in 8 chapter, It decides to make a fashionable entrance in chapter 11. And we don't even get to fully explore it until chapter 15. Isn't that just great? The delay in the chat group's appearance seems to be a point of confusion for many readers. While the chat group is indeed a central aspect of the story, it's important to understand why the MC would use this unknown and potentially dangerous power. If the MC is reckless or unintelligent, the chat group's usage might begin in the first chapter. However, if the MC is depicted as a self-proclaimed genius or cautious individual, the story will reach the point of the chat group's involvement by chapter 3 at the latest, followed by a mission. In the initial 8 to 9 chapters, we get a glimpse into the MC's ordinary existence. He leads a regular life, surrounded by his loving family. He attends school, where he has a small circle of friends. Financially speaking, his family doesn't face any difficulties or hardships. And he is content with this simple, everyday life. Now, you might be wondering, why on earth would a person like our MC take a risk with the Chat Group? Hear me out. He's not some thrill-seeker, or a martial arts enthusiast looking for stronger opponents, nor is he a genius bored out of his mind. He's content with his life, and he doesn't crave anything more. So, why would he put his neck on the line? That's precisely why it takes so long for the Chat Group to enter the picture. The initial chapters focus on showcasing his everyday life with family and friends. It's all about giving you a glimpse into why he wouldn't initially desire the chat group. But, of course, he eventually takes the plunge because he discovers a reason that speaks to him. Now, I know some of you may say, "Hey, couldn't you have summed it up in a single chapter?" Well, sure, I could have, but I didn't want to. Summarizing the MC's relationships and motivations would have resulted in a shallow excuse that you—yes, you—would probably complain about later. Plus, there's more to this story than just his daily life. But enough about that. Let's get one thing straight: this fic is slow. If you're expecting a quick summary with occasional fights and snappy dialogue, do yourself and me a favor by clicking off this fic. You'll find what you're looking for in less than 10 seconds, guaranteed. So, if you're still here after this warning, I don't want to hear any complaints about the story's pace. You've been duly informed. And hey, as you read, try paying a little more attention to uncover the hidden meanings within the dialogues and monologues. Also, I am not saying that I have done a fantastic job on the writing, No that’s not the point of this. The point is that you the reader don’t waste your time reading something you don’t like. And I don’t get 1-star reviews for a reason as petty as ‘The Chat group took too long to appear’ That's all for now. Distrust

But before leaving Yuu turned and looked at Kagaya and Amane who was standing behind him.

"The family you are looking for lives on Kagenobu-Yama (Yama=Mountain) in Minamitama-gun (Gun = County) [Current name: Kagenobu-yama, Hachiouji]," Hearing this the expressions on Kagaya's face changed into shock and even Amane who was known for her serious demeanor looked surprised as her eyes widened.

The Pillars did notice this and were sent deep in thought wondering about what that meant. They would like to ask Yuu about it but he had already left leaving behind the Kakushi who hurriedly ran to catch up.

'It can't be,' Shinjuro's mind to a particular direction that made him grit his teeth.

"…Well, we should start our Pillar meeting now," Kagaya said as he overcame the shock rather quickly.

Today they had a lot of thoughts to discuss because of what had happened but first of all.

"Kanae I am glad to see you are safe," Kagaya addressed Kanae first because of what happened during her encounter with Doma.

"I was just lucky to get Tachibana-sama's help, I am sorry for my incompetence," Kanae said slowly bowing her head, she was supposed to pillar and yet she was that helpless against an Upper Moon.

If things continued like this, How would they dream of combating Kibutsuji Muzan?

"What has happened can't be changed, so we can only work harder and do our best for the future," Kagaya was really glad that he didn't lose a pillar like Kanae, he has seen many of the demon slayers die in the small number of years he had lived, but losing Kanae would be a lot more fatal for them.

"I'll keep it in mind," Kanae said bowing her head, and then Kagaya started the meeting.

The subject of the meeting was Doma and his abilities. Kagaya received the report from Kanae herself and since the battle was a topic Yuu's name did come up, a bit too strongly.

"He knows how to make a Flamboyant exit, I like him," The corners of Tengen's lips moved up as he heard about how Yuu used an explosive to blow up the mansion where Doma was in order to buy time.

And his physical abilities also seemed solid enough from what was written in Kanae's report.

"You've likely been observing him closely Tengen, What do you think of him?" Gyomei asked since he could feel Tengen's interest in Yuu from the moment the person in question walked into the yard.

"That is simple, He is a Flamboyantly dangerous individual," Tengen put his thoughts in words rather simply.

"Can you tell me more about that Tengen?" Kagaya was curious about this because of a few reasons.

"Yes, The first reason being that he was able to detect and avoid the traps, only someone who was used to these types of situations would be able to spot them, and he did so without any effort, it was as natural to him as breathing," Tengen spoke calmly but…

"Putting traps in the yard is extremely disrespectful and careless, what would happen if Oyakata-sama was to be injured?" Sanemi looked like he was about to attack Tengen if he didn't get a proper reason. No one aside from Tengen knew about the traps, he purposefully arrived earlier to do this on his own.

"Don't worry Shinazugawa, I am not that much of a fool, they were duds, they served their purpose so that's all," Tengen didn't really care about Sanemi but he explained it for Kagaya's sake.

"But that doesn't seem to be enough of a reason for you to dub him as a dangerous individual," Gyomei brought the topic back on line.

Just noticing the traps doesn't mean much in the bigger picture.

"Let me Flamboyantly enlighten you then," Tengen said while looking at the others.

Sanemi looked like he was a minute away from throwing his fists in rage while the others were calm at Tengen's usual behavior.

"He wasn't just standing there this whole time, I can say that he has a good understanding of our fighting prowess right now," Tengen stopped for a second before continuing. "And his ability to gather information is troublesome on its own."

The second point was the main concern for Tengen himself but the others could also see it, even though not as clearly as him.

"He was even faster than the Demon Slayer Corps in locating the family Oyakata wanted to find," It was Shinjuro this time who spoke but Yuu was least of his concerns right now, he was so focused on it that he was overlooking several points.

"…It is as you said Rengoku-san," Tengen nodded in agreement since not only did Yuu find out about the family Kagaya was looking for he also found Amane while doing so.

Thought it seemed that Yuu didn't know that Amane was Kagaya's wife, but who knows if he already did. And if he knew about it beforehand, then Yuu should be able to find the way back to the Demon Slayer Headquarters, at least that is what Tengen thought.

All in all, it was a dangerous situation because they lacked the necessary information.

"Then what is there to talk about? If he is that dangerous then we should deal with him," Sanemi was just blunt about something that most of the pillars were thinking, well some of them were of similar thoughts.

"Tachibana-sama isn't someone we should be wary about," But after staying silent for the whole time Kanae said what she wanted to.

"Kocho you don't understand what is happening," Sanemi's voice was raised once again.

"No, it is Shinuzagawa-san who doesn't understand, I have lived with Tachibana-sama for two months under the same roof," But this time Kanae didn't back down, she said what she wanted clearly.

"Kocho, You…" Sanemi was just about to snap but there was an unexpected helper.

"Kocho is correct here Shinazugawa," It was none other than Tengen himself.

"You just called him a dangerous individual a little while ago," Sanemi wasn't having any of it, this was ridiculous.

"That I did, but the main point is that 'If he becomes an enemy' rather than he is dangerous regardless, if we follow that logic then all of us Pillars are also a threat to the corps," Tengen said without mincing his words.

"What do you mean?" Sanemi's eyes were flickering dangerously as he was reading to pull out his katana.

"I am sure you understood exactly what I mean," Tengen wasn't one to back down either when it came to these types of situations, that is why.

"Tengen, can I trouble you to explain more?" Kagaya said making sure the mood doesn't get any worse than this.

"With pleasure, what I mean is the person that we're dealing with here is someone competent enough to be a threat if we are against him, He is a part of the organization that had finished their tasks overseas, and he is still without any injuries impeding his bodily movements, I am sure no one here thinks he was someone who worked in the back," Tengen stated the obvious reasons that couldn't be denied.

Yuu's combat ability couldn't be denied because he had confronted the Second Upper Moon, Doma. There were still things that didn't make sense.

"Are there really any Demons overseas?" It was Giyu who questioned it, the reason for this being that there are no Demons activities outside of Tokyo. But now there were talks of demons being present overseas, well they weren't anymore. Even then the slight doubt still remained.

"It is possible, Rather I'd say it is completely normal for Kibutsuji Muzan to have a place he could run away to," Kagaya spoke softly but one could see the emotions swirling in his eyes clearly.

Tokyo never had demons, to begin with, rather it happened because Muzan ran away from Kyoto after the Ubuyashiki family caught his tail.

And Muzan has been living in Tokyo region with fake identities since then.

So it made sense for him to have prepared another place where he could run off in case something drastic happens.

"It has been 500 years since we've last come to find any traces of his movements, so we have no information on what he might've been doing, and even after trying we've been unable to get any news from overseas about anything," Kagaya shook his head in resignation.

In truth the demon slayer corps was having a hard time dealing with the Tokyo region itself, they have been able to hold on thanks to the Pillars who had supported the Corps for years now.

Hearing this, the Pillars were reminded how hard it is going to be to come anywhere closer to their goal. And they also understood the height of what Yuu has achieved with his organization, if it was indeed true that is.

"Kanae can you read the rest of the report for them," Sensing that there was still an air of distrust Kagaya spoke up.
