Why A Dimensional Chat Group?

In contemporary Japan, Yuu Tachibana lives a seemingly ordinary life with his beloved family. However, Yuu harbors a secret: he has lived a past life in another world, making his current life his second. Having no one to call family in his previous life, Yuu cherishes his family all the more. One fateful night, Yuu discovers an unidentified phone in his room. The message displayed on its screen is cryptic and foreboding: [Do you want to save your family from their terrible fate?] With a sense of dread, Yuu is faced with a choice: [Yes] or [No]. Yuu must decide if he is willing to risk everything to protect his loved ones. Will he choose to save them, or let fate run its course? -------- So, before you jump into the fic, let me address the frustration of some readers, This fic is slow. The Dimensional Chat Group, is not given to the MC in the first or fifth chapter. No, no! Not even in 8 chapter, It decides to make a fashionable entrance in chapter 11. And we don't even get to fully explore it until chapter 15. Isn't that just great? The delay in the chat group's appearance seems to be a point of confusion for many readers. While the chat group is indeed a central aspect of the story, it's important to understand why the MC would use this unknown and potentially dangerous power. If the MC is reckless or unintelligent, the chat group's usage might begin in the first chapter. However, if the MC is depicted as a self-proclaimed genius or cautious individual, the story will reach the point of the chat group's involvement by chapter 3 at the latest, followed by a mission. In the initial 8 to 9 chapters, we get a glimpse into the MC's ordinary existence. He leads a regular life, surrounded by his loving family. He attends school, where he has a small circle of friends. Financially speaking, his family doesn't face any difficulties or hardships. And he is content with this simple, everyday life. Now, you might be wondering, why on earth would a person like our MC take a risk with the Chat Group? Hear me out. He's not some thrill-seeker, or a martial arts enthusiast looking for stronger opponents, nor is he a genius bored out of his mind. He's content with his life, and he doesn't crave anything more. So, why would he put his neck on the line? That's precisely why it takes so long for the Chat Group to enter the picture. The initial chapters focus on showcasing his everyday life with family and friends. It's all about giving you a glimpse into why he wouldn't initially desire the chat group. But, of course, he eventually takes the plunge because he discovers a reason that speaks to him. Now, I know some of you may say, "Hey, couldn't you have summed it up in a single chapter?" Well, sure, I could have, but I didn't want to. Summarizing the MC's relationships and motivations would have resulted in a shallow excuse that you—yes, you—would probably complain about later. Plus, there's more to this story than just his daily life. But enough about that. Let's get one thing straight: this fic is slow. If you're expecting a quick summary with occasional fights and snappy dialogue, do yourself and me a favor by clicking off this fic. You'll find what you're looking for in less than 10 seconds, guaranteed. So, if you're still here after this warning, I don't want to hear any complaints about the story's pace. You've been duly informed. And hey, as you read, try paying a little more attention to uncover the hidden meanings within the dialogues and monologues. Also, I am not saying that I have done a fantastic job on the writing, No that’s not the point of this. The point is that you the reader don’t waste your time reading something you don’t like. And I don’t get 1-star reviews for a reason as petty as ‘The Chat group took too long to appear’ That's all for now. The Meeting Is Finished?

"Kanae can you read the rest of the report for them," Sensing that there was still an air of distrust Kagaya spoke up.

"Yes," Kanae was more than happy to read the report that she herself had written.

And like that after another hour the Pillar meeting ended.

Kagaya had left the room a while ago and the pillars were currently in the yard outside.

Amane was walking a step behind Kagaya, she had been waiting outside of the room for the entire duration of the meeting.

"Amane did you hear anything about someone passing by you during your outing?" Kagaya asked.

"No, I did not hear anything about this Kagaya-sama," Even though Amane went out alone to search for a family that Kagaya wanted to find, she was in fact not alone as many Demon slayers accompanied her albeit undercover.

She was after all the wife of the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, so in order to make sure she has a secure journey there are people who make sure no danger befalls her while staying afar.

These guys are very thorough in their jobs and paired with the Kasugai crows, they form a net that catches its prey without fail.

But it completely failed this time, what this situation could lead to wasn't something one needed to think about for long.

"It seems things are going to be turbulent going forward," Kagaya smiled as he stopped in place.

"Are you alright Kagaya-sama?" Amane stepped forward quickly worrying that something happened to him because he stopped suddenly.

"I am fine, or should I say I feel better," Kagaya said while looking outside at the yard which was still illuminated by the soft glow of the sun, summer is yet to start in full swing.

"Kagaya-sama feels better?" Amane knew about Kagaya's condition better than anyone, so hearing this came as a shock.

"Yes, I feel better," Kagaya smiled, somehow after reading Kanae's report and then seeing Yuu face to face today.

He felt like things have been set in motion, Kagaya didn't know where this will take them but.

"I wish that my children live a long life and be free of this curse," Kagaya said slowly while feeling the wind.

"…Kagaya-sama will watch over them till they grow old, right?" Amane said slowly and Kagaya smiled.

"That would be the happiest moment of my life," Kagaya started walking again after saying that as Amane followed a step behind him.

Kagaya knew there were many things that should be looked into with more detail, but that thought of his only stayed in his mind for a short period because of the letter he received a few days later.

"Then I'll take my leave as well," Kanae also turned around and was walking away from the yard under the eyes of the other pillars, But, nobody stopped her as she went out of sight.

"If you have something to say to her, you should do it now," And it was none other than Gyomei who broke the silence and the person he was speaking with was.

"Isn't it you who has a lot to say, Himejima-san?" Sanemi said with a frown, as much as he respected Gyomei he didn't want anyone to meddle in his business.

"...Now isn't the time for me to say anything," Gyomei spoke after thinking for a little while, he wanted to say it but chose not to do so in the end.

"Then leave me alone as well," Sanemi said as he was about to leave.

"I am telling you this because I know that girl, Once she makes up her mind, nothing can ever change it," Gyomei made sure that Sanemi heard him.

"Tch," But all he heard in return was Sanemi clicking his tongue as he walked away.

"You are staying back after the meeting Rengoku-san? That's something new," Tengen addressed Shinjuro who seemed deep in thought while staying in the courtyard; normally this guy couldn't wait to leave the meeting.

"…It's nothing," Shinjuro said as he also walked away with a deep frown on his forehead.

"It looks like it is just us two now, Himejima-no-Danna (My Good Sir Himejima)," Tengen looked at Gyomei as if he was the only pillar there aside from himself.

Giyu left as silently as he had arrived without saying anything to the others.

"Why did you support Tachibana-dono before?" Gyomei asked since the question has been on his mind.

"It was because I can understand his thought process," Tengen smirked before speaking the next words "But the main question is why did Himejima-san support him?"

"I left my decision with Oyakata-sama," Himejima said simply.

"That you did," Tengen laughed loudly as Himejima spoke his next words.

"Do you trust Tachibana-dono, Tengen?"

"Trust? No, and I am sure he doesn't trust us either, the only thing he tried to do today, was set up a relationship based on benefits rather than trust," Tengen had come to his conclusion from the point Yuu brought up the talk of information.

The trust would take time to cultivate so instead of that, Yuu chose to set up a relationship between himself and the Corps differently, because if he wanted to build trust he would've stayed put in the butterfly mansion rather than going all over the place unsupervised.

Yuu did it in order to get the information he could use in the meeting to get what he wanted, he needed the Demon Slayer Corp's help to some extent.

That is why he even used the training regime of his organization to set up this meeting. It was a means to an end that Yuu didnt mind using.

It was only like this because Yuu had access to a lot more accurate information than the Demon slayer corps had. He had showcased that today thus gaining the things he needed even if he looked suspicious, because he knew how easily that suspicion can be turned into trust since he was correct.

Tengen was sure that Yuu would find his way around things if today's meeting didn't go well, he just looked that way.

"Do you trust in him Himejima-san?" Tengen was curious so he asked.

"I just know that he didn't lie," Gyomei said plainly.

"Is that all?" Tengen asked.

"Yes, now I'll take my leave," Gyomei said as he walked out of the yard.

"I am looking forward to some Flamboyant action," Tengen grinned before vanishing from his spot.

Yuu has been sitting in a guestroom drinking tea since he came from the yard where the meeting took place.

If he had to talk about how the meeting went then…

'I got what I wanted,' Yuu succeeded in setting things up right now. Although there were some weird situations that he didn't expect, but overall it was a good result.

'It should take a few weeks for the weapon to be made,' Yuu would have to choose the metal tomorrow and he should also get the crow as well.

This would be helpful to him in many ways since the crows are a big part of the communication system in this organization. It would make a lot of things easier.

'The information about the Upper Moon's locations isn't enough,' Yuu was only able to know the location of Daki and Gyuutarou because they stayed in one location.

The other Upper Demon Moons had no one place of residence just like Muzan himself, he could track down Dom but that would be a pain in more than one way.

And then there was the location of the future Pillars who still haven't appeared yet.

'I was lucky to have read the fanbook,' Yuu had only read it once but still remembered it clearly. Currently, the missing pillars were The Snake Pillar, The Love Pillar, The Future Flame Pillar, and the Mist Pillar, who Kagaya was looking for currently.

What Yuu has been doing after going out of the butterfly mansion was looking for the Pillars rather than looking for Daki since her position was fixed. And that is how he spotted Amane asking around for information in Minamitama.

Yuu knew where each of them were currently, he has been going out of the Butterfly estate even when there were people keeping an eye on him, and he was doing it exactly because they were keeping an eye on him.

But it wasn't that big of a deal since these demon slayers weren't very proficient in such tasks which made it easier for Yuu to get around them, shaking off people from his tail was one of his strong suits.

Although one can say that his actions would make him suspicious, but he didn't care as…

'The trust will build itself in the future,' Yuu was sure that as long as he showed his competence.

He would've done it differently if building trust was his main objective, but it wasn't and the amount of time it would take to go through this the other way would be a lot, so Yuu just decided to ditch that plan.

"Tachibana-sama I am coming in," Just as Yuu was thinking about these things the sliding doors opened after Kanae's voice was heard from the outside.

"Is the meeting finished?" Yuu asked since that is what he was waiting for.

"…Yes, we'll be going back now," Kanae nodded as her eyes darted all around the room.

"Alright," Yuu stood up after finishing his tea, they left the headquarters after he had worn the blindfold and earplugs.
