Chapter 25

As we finally reached the sanctuary of our home, my first order of business was to demand an urgent update on Risha's whereabouts and well-being. The impact of her recent ordeal was palpable, with haunting nightmares of discovering Takeru lifeless plaguing her sleep. Every day, without fail, she would anxiously inquire if any progress had been made in locating him. The weight of her distress lingered in the air each time we engaged in conversation.

I swiftly made my way through the familiar corridors of our residence towards the security room. Technology had become our ally in this tumultuous time, with round-the-clock surveillance serving as a shield against any potential threats. Upon entering the room, I barked out, "Anything to report?" The glow of the computer screens illuminated the space as I descended the stairs, prepared for any unwelcome surprises.

Every member of my security team stood at attention, a silent acknowledgment of my presence. They all bowed respectfully before the supervisor stepped forward, his demeanor serious and composed.

"Phoenix has just arrived to the house, but there was nothing noteworthy to report. The night enveloped the surroundings in a blanket of eerie silence, leaving me with a sense of unease in your absence, young master," Supervisor Hong stated, his voice tinged with a hint of annoyance, as he handed me his meticulously written report.

As I made my way towards the stairs, I couldn't shake the feeling of irritation that lingered within me. "What could that woman possibly want?" I murmured under my breath, my steps echoing through the dimly lit corridor. With a flick of my wrist, I tossed the report to Sebastian, who was approaching to alert me of the unwelcome presence of the infamous bat at the door.

"Double-check this for me, Sebastian, while I go and deal with the witch at my doorstep," I instructed, my tone laced with a mix of exasperation and determination. Ascending the grand staircase, I mentally braced myself for the encounter ahead, knowing that I would have to put on a facade of civility towards the woman who never failed to test my patience.

As I made my way to my front door, a surge of mixed emotions washed over me. With a tinge of annoyance lingering beneath the surface, I finally reached the entrance and pushed the door open, a hint of a smirk playing on my lips as I leaned nonchalantly against the door frame. The moment my eyes met Phoenix's, I could see the unmistakable signs of frustration coloring her cheeks a deep shade of red, her fingers nervously toying with the strap of her purse.

"What brings you all the way here, darling?" I inquired smoothly, though inwardly my stomach churned with a sense of dread, threatening to betray my calm facade. Phoenix wasted no time in unleashing her pent-up emotions, her voice rising in pitch.

"You abandoned me at the restaurant and then Ignored my calls for months! Then on top of everything some random guy who claims to be on your basketball team at school Hands me these!" She hurled a stack of photographs and what appeared to be medical records in my direction, her eyes ablaze with emotions that I couldn't quite decipher. As I gingerly picked up a few of the papers, a sense of dread washed over me, like a tidal wave crashing down. The images captured intimate moments between me and Takeru, frozen in time and laid bare for Pheonix to see. The realization hit me like a ton of bricks, leaving me gasping for air.

In that moment, as Pheonix's accusatory gaze bore into me, I felt a surge of fury rising within me. Without a second thought, I seized her by the arm and pulled her into the house, the door slamming shut behind us with a resounding thud.

"What in the world are you up to?" Pheonix's voice echoed through the hallway, her eyes flashing with anger as she regained her balance, narrowly avoiding a collision with a delicate potted plant by the door. I felt a surge of fury rising inside me, causing me to growl in disbelief as I took slow, deliberate steps towards her. "Who gave you these?" My voice was low and menacing, a stark contrast to the tension crackling in the air. With a defensive stance, Pheonix shot back, her tone laced with accusation and hurt. "Why does it even matter? You've been cheating on me, not just with any man, but with a vagrant from the streets." Her words stung, fueling the fire of anger that threatened to consume me as I locked eyes with her, struggling to contain the tempest swirling within me. As I clenched my fists, ready to confront her, the steady voice of reason cut through the chaos. "Young Master, please, calm yourself," Sebastian's soothing tone intervened, his hand firmly gripping my shoulder to prevent me from advancing towards her.

"There are more critical problems we have here," Sebastian whispered urgently, his voice tinged with anger as he handed me two medical documents. My eyes scanned the pages slowly, the weight of their contents sinking in. The first document revealed a status check on Takeru, confirming his Omega male status and flagging him for imminent arrest. The revelation sent a surge of frustration through me.

"Who gave these to you, Phoenix!?" I bellowed, my accusatory tone filled with betrayal. I lunged towards her, but Sebastian's firm grip on my arm restrained me, preventing any impulsive actions. Phoenix stumbled backwards, fear etched on her face as she hit the floor.

"Young master! The other paper, read it please, we have to go now!" Sebastian's voice was tinged with urgency as he handed me the document once again - another Medical status check. This time, the paper bore the details of an omega Female.

"What am I looking at, Sebastian? We have to find Kwan; I don't care about anyone else!" I snapped, my tone reflecting the anger simmering within me. But before I could protest any further, Sebastian, known for his unwavering loyalty and calm demeanor, did something unexpected. In a moment of desperation, he raised his hand and delivered a resounding slap across my face, a stark expression of his own frustration and fear.

"That status check is for Risha Nakamura! She manifested as a dominant omega while she was gone!" Sebastian's voice cracked with emotion as he slammed the paper down on a nearby table, the weight of the revelation hanging heavily in the air.

The weight of the predicament descended upon me like a heavy cloak of dread, as the realization dawned that Risha was now a target, her safety hanging by the thinnest of threads. She was akin to a vulnerable lamb being pursued for an ominous fate, her very existence at stake. With a steely resolve, I wasted no time in mobilizing a security detail, dispatching them swiftly to intercept before the authorities could close in on Risha's whereabouts.

Risha, a mere child, held the key to my heart, the sole beacon of familial connection in my tumultuous existence. The thought of her peril spurred me into action, eclipsing all other priorities, even my quest to locate Takeru. For now, ensuring Risha's safety took precedence above all else; her well-being was a non-negotiable imperative.

As Sebastian and I hastened out of the opulent confines of the grand mansion, a sense of urgency propelled us forward, our hearts racing in sync with the ticking clock. With Risha's fate hanging in the balance, every second was precious, every decision critical. The Gemini Twins, ever watchful and resourceful, darted towards the house as if guided by an unseen force.

"We've located Kwan!" exclaimed Ying, her voice resonating with determination as Yang swiftly followed suit. With a palpable tension gripping the air, Yang revealed the crucial information that struck at the core of our mission: "Kwan is currently holding Takeru captive in a secluded dwelling within the Neteyam District." My gaze locked with Sebastian's, a silent exchange of concern passing between us. While Risha remained our primary focus, the discovery of Takeru's whereabouts added a layer of complexity to our mission. The weight of the situation pressed heavily upon us; the stakes were high, and time was of the essence.

Sebastian, ever the voice of reason in the midst of chaos, made a decisive call: "I will ensure Risha's safety. You must retrieve Risha's beloved Ruru from Kwan, for her forgiveness hinges on it." With those words hanging in the air, Sebastian swiftly departed with the security team, leaving me with a sense of resolve burning within me. The fate of Takeru, Risha, and the delicate balance of power in the shadows of the government's reach now rested on our shoulders. I just pray we make it on time.
