While Yu Yingyi was trying to cool down Song Liya's burning tongue, there was an unexpected knock on the door. Both of them had no idea who it was since Song Liya's family was still at the banquet.

"Do you know who's at the door?" asked Yu Yingyi.

"Nope, I'm as clueless as you." Song Liya replied.

"Should I get the door or should you get the door?" asked Yu Yingyi.

"I'll go just in case it's a suspicious person, who knows what type of dangerous people there are in the world," said Song Liya.

Yu Yingyi deadpanned Song Liya, in this world, who could be more dangerous than herself? It was impossible to be more dangerous from this fierce and cunning princess.

"Alright then, I'll wait here while you go get the door. If you don't come back soon, I'm going to drink all of your hot chocolate," said Yu Yingyi.

"You better not and stop making it seem like I'm going out, we're literally only going to be like 20 feet away from each other," said Song Liya.

With that said, Song Liya made her way towards their door on full guard, she was truly suspicious of who could be knocking at their door when there should be only her and Yu Yingyi in the palace.

When Song Liya opened the door, she was met with shock and surprise. There was a woman dressed in a maid outfit in front of their door? If she recalled, all the maids should be at the banquet, moreover, this maid doesn't seem familiar at all.

"Who might you be?" asked Song Liya in suspicion.

"Greetings, your majesty. During the banquet, I've been sent over by your mother, the empress, to come to check up on you both. Although she didn't give me a reason why she sent me over, I was told to tell you to be careful." said the maid.

Song Liya mentally frowned at the maid's words, which meant her mother was watching them if they were trying to do something to break the deal.

"I asked who are you, not why are you here. Answer me." Song Liya said sternly, completely different from how she spoke with Yu Yingyi.

"I'm the new maid hired by the empress, my name is Jia Yi and I've been personally assigned to Prince Yingyi," said Jia Yi.

Song Liya already didn't like the maid, her mother might've sent her to spy on them, the dislike grew when she heard that the maid was personally assigned to Yu Yingyi.

It wasn't because of the spying part, but it was because the maid might do something to her partner like flirting with her or even seducing it. Just the thought of someone flirting with Yu Yingyi made fist clench.

"I see, if that's it all, can you leave now?" asked Song Liya.

Jia Yi could see that the princess was in a bad mood, although she wanted to see the prince once again, she had to hold back and wait for another chance.

'Prince Yingyi, we'll meet again and you'll be mine soon.' thought Jia Yi as she started walking away from the door.

Once the maid was out of view, Song Liya closed the door shut and locked it before making her way back to where Yu Yingyi was.

When Song Liya entered the room, Yu Yingyi nearly choked on her hot chocolate, there was a dark aura following behind Song Liya. It was shocking cause just before she had a sparkling aura.

"Did something happen Liya?" asked Yu Yingyi.

"Nothing, just a nuisance wasting my time when I could be relaxing with you."

Even if Song Liya said that she knew there was something bothering her, she was just too stubborn to say it.

"You can tell me, it's better if both of us know so that I can also know what happened."

Song Liya thought about it for a moment before answering, it would be better for Yu Yingyi to know so that she would stay away from that maid called Jia Yi.

"There was a new maid at our door, she said she was personally assigned to you by my mother. The way she said it felt like she wanted to meet you or see you, so I decided to send her off since there wasn't anything important."

"Hoh? Is my princess jealous? What was the maid's name?'

"Of course I'm not jealous, I know you belong to me only so there's no point in thinking of unnecessary things. Oh yeah, the maid said her name was Jia Yi."

Then something clicked in Yu Yingyi's mind, somehow, the name sounded familiar. That was when she remembered the woman from the shop, the woman who suddenly confessed to her out of nowhere saying she wanted her.

"Ah...I might know that person. I think I ran into her at the store, but shouldn't she had been at the banquet with your mother during that time?"

"Damn it, it seems my mother had been spying on us the entire time. She shouldn't have known the time when you went out, the maid was probably at the shop to interact with you and tried to find any information. Did she ask you anything suspicious?"

Yu Yingyi recalled the conversation they had and didn't find anything suspicious about it. She didn't know if the confession could count as suspicious since she was only...well, she was only confessing.

"Nope, she just wanted to buy sugar cubes. Other than that, there was nothing suspicious, not that I could tell."

"I see, then it's fine, for now, let's just focus on ourselves while also focusing on my mother's actions. Stay away from that maid as much as possible."

"Alright, I'll listen to you. But Song Liya."

"Yes, darling?"

"You're jealous aren't you?"

"I'm not!"

"It's okay my princess, I'll only be yours so there's no need to worry about anyone taking me away."

"Yu Yingyi! You better not let me catch you or else you're dead!"

Immediately, Yu Yingyi burst out of the room as Song Liya chased after her. Just like that, the dark atmosphere around Song Liya disappeared and turned back to normal.

It seems Yu Yingyi had way more than just an effect on Song Liya.
